okay so iv now found a supplier for the plenum ...so my next question is .... if in attempt to fit the plenum my self , which instant gasket brand is recommended with the motordyne kit ? also whould i need to order any other bits to do the job ie throttle body gasket?

okay cheers Davey ill go for the 5/16 as i haven't seen a 5/18 one.is the one on the pic iv posted a decent brand? and iv noticed that these are the basic packs ........there are similar more expensive kits of that brand that have extra stuff in and a metal type smaller/thinner gasket with large holes in it .ill see if i can find a pic

nearly ready to buy a plenum for my 04 DE . Looking about iv noticed some say 1/2 inch .others say 5/16 or 8/16 . can someone please explain which i need and what the differences are ...tia seen these .....

I can see what you mean in this picture below of a 350Z Milltek exhaust. If you can get the whole inserts out then that may be your best option, ...not sure how it will look afterwards but at least it won't be buzzing anymore. If you have problems though a custom exhaust place still might be your best bet to sort it. sorry to hijack.i have the same milltek system and would removing the exhaust tip baffles make the exhaust louder like a k1 ? or is the silencing mainly through the back box

no not paid yet but just could of done with the windows especially as mine are practically unusable when up due to the scratching. was quite looking forward to getting the plenum too if im honest . Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

hi guys . does any one here still have contact with Mo ? user name t21moh. i brought my zed off him and need him to get in touch as since selling the car to me , he ignores all my texts. im looking for info on the car .... primarily has it had a respray in a different silver as non of the colour matches iv bought match the colour of the car via vin plate . he also said he would send the side windows by post and sell me the plenum spacer which i agreed to pay for as the present windows are very badly scratched .

iv just checked it and it rattles freely so definitely no problem there.and the car has 129000 full service history. it had a p3 service in April including trans oil

hi guys quick question..... iv just took the plastic engine cover off as I want to check the ecv valve due to oil consumption. when stood at the front of the car facing the engine .....which side is it at please. also do i need to replace washer etc after removel and refit ...cheers

ahh that's good to hear ..maybe not a stuffed as i thought then and cheers ill check the ECV tomorrow for any blockages ill search on here first to make sure i do the job correctly

Just to clarify... although you've put in 1.5 litres, do you know what the oil level was when you first got it? Could it simply be that the oil level was stupidly low when you got it? oil level was on half way mark when i got the car so i topped it up and its used a further 3/4 of a litre over 500ish miles

could the oil issue be down to something other than a knackered engine? .maybe a seal or pipe ..when changing the standard air box to a ram air today i noticed it was very wet/oily around and below the dip stick area ..about a 8" radius. also would a compression test diagnose how healthy the engine is ?

@*!# thats expensive.i may just try run her steady till i can afford another low milage DE and yes i plan to do the plenum and uprev eventually.ill just have to keep an eye on levels and pray she holds out
