  1. ahh great news .tbh i dnt like having TCS on because every time it slips it kills the power too which is proper annoying .an okay that makes sence as there was an old land-rover next to mine so maybe that's where I picked up the transfer box reference. he did definitely say it damages something tho . Having traction control off has absolutely no effect or damage on the zed. I have had mine for getting on 6 years now, and I like to take it off occasionally when I fancy a bit of fun! Also, I had my camshaft position sensor go on the car at one point, and until I got the replacement part delivered, I had to uplug the sensor. I had traction control off for about 3 months constantly (because a lot of that time was trying to figure out what part to get). Nothing happened to the Zed, except I learned how to control her without the TCS. i am starting to get the feeling the mech is talking sh1te lol.an okay thats good to hear because im just starting to get a feel for it with TCS off .absolutely puts a grin on my face every time the arse end kicks out coming off a roundabout .....the girlfriend isnt impressed tho haha

  3. dnt know tbh.i do know the lad and he's a good mechanic but i just dont understand why it has that button/option if its not intended for frequent use. he has a bmw 330 and said its okay on his to use but the zed can't handle it as well if overused. also they were checking the car out on ramps at the time talking about the gear box , prop shaft etc so not 100% on the transfer box reference ...he did say it sh4gs something tho if overused
  4. since owning my 04 zed for the last two weeks iv been frequently running about with the traction control off to get used to the way it drives .(first rear wheel drive car). anyhow while at the garrage today one of lads said i shouldnt do this all the time as its bad for the zed ..think he said it sh4gs transfer box or something . is there any truth in this? also iv not been hammering it just simply getting used to the unexpected drift and learning how to control it when it happens.
  5. it was a post on this forum. think it was titled how many miles is too much.any how someone commented that a few zeds had sh1t them selves at the 130000 mark All sorts of mileages bud. We've had one in that's blown to smithereens at 80k. Few peeps have passed 200k. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk hope mine lasts to 200000 .its got full service history and a couple of people here commented that Mo,s car (previous forum member) had been looked after well .

  10. There are always other options. You could also try TORQEN, Tarmac Sportz, the Cougar Store etc. All in the professional traders section with others too. http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_14 http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/products.aspx?CategoryId=bd91a45f-0c79-4f9b-b7a5-67bba6937d96 http://www.torqen.uk/172-clutches?orderby=price&orderway=asc One kit suitable from Clark Motorsport that I know of: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/95545-new-xtreme-clutch-organic-inc-smf-350z-de/ thank you for links .do i need to get the flywheel when i buy a clutch kit or can the clutch just be changed solely

    cone air filter

Imo you will not notice any throttle response difference between a s/s cone filter & a paper cone filter at all. Plus you will need a remap (UpRev) for it to make any performance increase on the Zeds engine anyway, ...most people who fit air induction kits and don't UpRev their Zeds afterwards have done it purely for an increase in induction noise & to give their car some engine bay bling. Personally I'd stay clear of the s/s cone filters because of there poor filtration ~ in other words, they aren't as efficient at stopping cr*p from getting into your engine as the alternatives. Up to you though and good luck with your search. yea im getting the mods in place before a remap.already got decats so just needing plenum and induction sorting out ..and thx for the headsup..ill look into that other filter

    cone air filter

Purley on the fact of the dyno results and the free flowing nature gives very good throttle responce not to mention it sounds mint
