I was under the impression that was one of its key points, hence the skinny tyres!
But you have to want it to go sideways. It doesn't just slide around all over the place.
Completly agree, it would be dangerous if it suddenly let go mid corner into snap oversteer. I've not yet driven an 86 but I imagine if you go into a corner on the brakes to transfer the weight over the front wheels then provoke the rear with the throttle it will oversteer.
I usually hate American reviews but this unbiased review says that yes it would be nice with a bit more power but the handling and the way it drives is of more importance.
I'm not sure an equally old car as a 350 is going to help him in the reliability stakes.
S2000 are going up in price and only 2 seats. I have to keep hold of my Honda Accord for when Ive got the family in the car, at least with the GT86 you can squeeze the kids in if I had to.
Im not overly concerned about the tax, its just one of the little costs that all add up. I think a new GT86 is less to fuel, tax, no MOT to worry about for 3 years, tyres, discs/pads cost less and I would probably enjoy driving it more.
Ive had a couple Civic Type R's in the past so know what its like having not much torque, the engine note can be changed with exhaust or unequal length headers.
I just think I might enjoy a car where I can access its limits at safer speeds and enjoy the handling over outright power.
I'm well aware that my Zed is 10 years old with increasing maintenance costs and in the higher tax bracket
No worries buddy! Thanks for enjoying it. I don't know of anyone else with this exact system, so it's nice to know i'm a "one off" (at the moment)
Is this a full cat-back system and do you still have your cats in place?
Sounds awesome by the way
Hope you get this sorted with minimal hassle.
Seeing this thread was the kick up the backside I needed to order a dashcam.
This one has really good reviews with rear facing cam and a reverse cam as well. https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1
