  1. I think my ariel cable has come out at the back of the HU.

Thing is, i don't know how to get into the back of it.

I didn't want to go poking around with a screwdriver as I'd likely break something.

It's a Pioneer DVD unit, can anyone help?

  2. Looks like this is next on my list.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Are there any in Scotland?

I could google, but my laptops not working and I'm on my phone, so it's no as easy.

don't know what I want, but don't want to spend silly money.

    Put enough out this year.

  3. I bought Pirellis P Zeros for the fronts yesterday (same as rear).

Think they're bedded in, they're fine.

Took a quick blast round a roundabout and the car stuck like glue.

    Happy days.

  4. I just thought it might be a good idea at the time after the o2 sensor problem, thought it may help clean the engine a bit.

It's no big deal, it was only £3.

The reason I use 97 RON is because it's hard to get anything else locally.

The nearest Shell garage is about half an hour away.

The car runs fine (normally) on 97,

As i said if it's rubbish I'll not bother, it's only 3 bangers.

  5. Simple as that.

Bought a bottle and thinking of using it.

The car was running slightly sluggish and idle (when hot) wasn't happening.

The EML came on but after getting the code (o2 sensor) someone suggested giving the car a bit of a kicking as I'd only been using it on short journeys for a few weeks.

That seemed to solve the problem as the EML went off and the car seems to be ok now.

Would it be sensible to use Redex in the tank?

    Has anyone used it before?

I've never used it but thought it might be a good idea to try it.

Just looking for advice before i go for it.

    Cheers.

    Robert.

ps I usually run car on BP Ultimate (97 RON) if that makes any difference.

  6. Lovely, just do what I did and get some facelift OEM headlights. Sets off the grey nicely and with those wheels will look fantastic :)

I've had them done, but they've faded.

Got the Demon eyes and leds, sequential indicators, but the guy that done them said this would happen again after a while, said it was the lenses.

I just believed him as i don't know differently.

    They're worse now than ever.

  7. Need the headlights seen to.

Got the Demon eyes and sequential indicators but the lights are getting misted looking.

They were like that before the new set up.

The guy cleaned them up but warned me it would come back.

Anyone on here got any ideas?

Takes the look right off it.

Best thing to do (imo) is use the "Meguiars Headlight Restoration kit" and then seal the headlights afterwards with an anti-UV sealant.

    Some more info here: http://www.350z-uk.c...light-restored/

Cheapest Megs kit I could find on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.u...2gAAOSwzaJX89ml

It looks as though it's on the inside of the lense?

Would i have to split the lense and body apart?

  9. Got the tyres on today.

Can't upload photos from my phone (dunno how to)

Looks much better although it definitely feels different.

I never changed the front tyres and think maybe I should have.

    Just doesn't feel right.

Slight pull to the right when braking.

    Ah'll sort it out.

Oooh and my JDM code reader came.

    Happy days!

  10. Getting Pirrellis 245/45 18. ®

    Bridgestones 225/45 18 (ft)

I He front ones still have a few months in them so I'll just do the tests at the moment.

Gives me some time to try and sell my 17's as well.

    Hopefully all fitted tonight.

  11. Don't have a clue about tyres.

Needing 2 tyres for the new wheels.

Looking for 245/45 (for the rear i presume as the other two are 225/45).

    Just replacing like for like.

The wheels are 18's for 17's

    Anyone help with choosing?

I live in Scotland so it's wet (a lot).

i'll pay up to £150 per tyre, should that be enough for a decent set?

I've never bought tyres for the Z.

    Any help appreciated.

    Robert
