Beaconsfield services is a lot closer to Kent than Reading is, so depending on the when I might be interested.

Have you bookmarked searches on autotrader, piston heads and gum tree? I'd check those every day when I was looking for one. Wound up being the first to message the guy over this zed which helped me be the first to put a deposit down

gratz on getting your zed driving as she should
one of the reasons i went for the zed over others is the flat torque curve, just really fancied having all that raw grunt over the bulk of the rev range
-
ho;a and fingers crossed you can get your butt in a zed asap
-
some people do stats, others don't. i'm far more likely to remember some stats than i am someone's name
when looking at zeds one dealership tried to persuade me their DE engine was actually the HR ("i spoke to the previous owner and they told me it is the new engine in there") and the guy i got my zed from told me the HR engine was from the 370z. what i think might be true is the DE engine was the rev up and i guess the 370 engine was based on the HR, but that's going forwards not backwards. either way i knew what I was looking for and got the engine i wanted

haha i haven't seen it in person but was reading about the nismo suspension setup and the particular website (cant remember the address) said it was 20mm lower than the normal Zed and wondered if it was true? does the price listed include discount buddy?
A: - I was never aware of the Nismo being lower, but at the same time never seen one in the flesh/stock etc.
B; - if you were looking at getting 2nd hand Nismo suspension, you'd be lucky. No genuine Nismo's in the UK. So you'd be sourcing from Jap/USA
C: - Just cheaper, easier and probably the most sensible option to order a set of springs.
I think OP was only talking about the Nismo as a ball park figure to aim for on a drop. Ie if Nismo think 20mm is a good drop then it's good for him too. Don't think he was actually after Nismo kit.

Ha!! Id agree!! Although i have an answer to the paint problems!! http://www.350z-uk.c...hip-protection/get the biggest tins they have. you get a much stronger finish if you pour the paint on rather than brush it on. it's a fantastic fix to the zeds soft paint problem. nice big thick gloopy coat of paint
well now that's just over engineering! why got to all that hassle when you can just get something off the shelf?

Well it goes without saying!! Just about to buy some gloss black from the decorator centre!
so obviously you'll have to get a respray too thenI think the 'bulge' looks good on the black bodywork but doesnt seem to stand out as much on lighter bodywork.

Haha that'd be interesting. If I took the boot divider out I guess maybe one could lie down in there, one in the front seat and...one in the glove box, maybe? Actually I am looking for a decent child seat, my eldest (6 yo) really wants to go out in the car and going for little cruises with him next to me will be magical. Just need to be careful as I don't think the passenger airbag can be deactivated.
nono, you said your wife and 3 kids, so the passenger seat is already taken
my last boss had a VW with a W engine in it (2 V's slapped together), his son used to call it the rocket car

welcome and nonsense, everyone knows red ones got faster. the only counter to that is a go faster stripe. most cost effective performance mod you can do!yes - the fastest one I believe!
gratz on your new car though, even if it does need a bit of paint to unlock it's full potential
-
wait what? you can cram 3 kids into the zeds boot? i can't even get one full sized packaged computer in the back!
-
looks like the man works hard to bring us our shiniesIt's amazing to see all your progress the 350 then the 370 and now this has arrived, inspiring to me to say the least.

Love that new car feeling where you're just itching to get behind the wheel again
I've found 3rd gear can still pull harder than the rubber can grip, but the tyres mine came with are cheap ones so will be interesting to see how much that changes when I get some good shoes on.
I've done a trip to the shops just for tea bags...

Got a friend who lives in Tring and for the last year while saving up for my zed I've been keeping an eye out for the zed that's parked down the street from her.
So here's a shout out to the owner in case they are a forum member

anything that makes the fuel move about in the tank can change the reading. so it will change if you go up or down a hill. also long corners can hold the fuel at an angle long enough to register a change. so it might just have been while you were getting up to speed that the gauge went down.
-
let me put it this way, the 2 zeds i took for a test drive both showed an average mpg of 9. on the trip home i got an average mpg of 32!
so yeah, it can make a hell of a difference how you drive her

ooh, twin turbo, i am green

I did the M20 onto the M2 via bluebell hill. Got there before the mini-meet started and Adrian assumed I was you when he first arrived .Ahhh wish I could of stayed at Sly's for longer on Saturday but I had to get back. Nice little mini meet you guys had there, all the cars looked great.
Pretty sure I passed the black zed on the way home
What car were you driving? Hope I didn't miss a fellow zed in the wild for the first time!
Fairly sure I saw the Octzilla on my return trip as I was taking my exit to the M2 but Adrian had left quite a while before me so I'm not 100% sure.

familiar yes, but that was delivery is the only option and no you can't come up to see the car. don't know if i'd ever be happy buying a car off ebay, for me i'd want to see the car and only part with my money when the V5 was in front of me ready to be signed!Another Delivery Can Be Arranged Vehicle.... Sound Familiar???
Soon to be a new owner (I hope)

W8 Passat estate, and it most certainly was a sleeper! He also had it converted to gas so it was cheap to run too. He used to get kicks from sticking the back of fast cars in an estate, the look of confusion as they failed to leave him for dust
Hehe, I can imagine the looks you got in the child parking zone, though from what I've seen you might have been one of the few people there using it properly!
