  1. The Alpine SPG 17C2 is a coaxial package, so not sure why you would get those if you intended on fitting an amp. To be honest I would forget the sub for now and just focus on the right front speakers and amp. Alpine Type R's are nice, but all depends on your budget. You have to weigh up your time, your budget and your DIY skills. Basically if you want it the easy way then you just get some coaxial speakers and replace the BOSE ones, but you wont see much of a difference. The hard way requires wiring an amp from the battery (easiest bit), then wiring from amp to the two doors and sound output device, then fitting component speakers which will include crossover and tweeter separately and usually you would add sound proofing to prevent as much vibration as possible.
  2. Yes absolutely new power cabling with fuse . You can run it through with the rest of the front cabling and it will pop down in front of the passenger footwell, thats the easy bit! running all the wiring from the amp is the biggest challenge.
  3. I wouldn't bother with putting the windows down, given you know you have a dead battery any damage that could of occurred would have already happened when you first tried to get in the car. make sure you get a battery with handles though! as it makes everything so much easier.
  4. MPSS - worth the extra price. Brilliant grip that allows you to feel more comfortable in the car. (switched from Falken's which im sorry but are absolute @*!# in comparison)
  5. Tradelink are notorious for not removing their old stock from websites though, so what might appear to be a lot of stock only ends up being 3 cars. Well at least that was the case on the two occasions I went to visit.
  6. Have the same problem. Will change the banana arms but is it the whole arm or can I buy the bushes ( I see CM have them) providing my garage has a press? Its basically £500 verses £60.
  7. Headunit and ariel are a must imo Tyres, door lights to LED is a simple one and change the oil. Then whatever you want. I wouldnt bother changing the clutch until you actually feel it going, its an expensive job.
  8. I love the spoiler but seriously why didnt they get the stock one removed first. Just seems odd that they didnt pay that little bit extra for a decent fit.
  9. Its all about the koenigsegg doors now imo, which is a much more modern take on vertical opening - You will never be able to get it on a Z though as most of the tech is proprietary.
  10. as someone that is currently installing a nexus 7 in my centre console (full guide coming soon) let me tell you that it is alot of work. One thing I have found is that the guides on the net pretend its easy but leave out 100 steps that says otherwise. Anyhow yes its all possible and you can get a really nice finish (especially with a 03 console) but it takes work and the right tools. Torque and the racing plugin are brilliant apps and sound like what your after.
  11. £13K for an 09Z with a dented exterior and no tyres? sounds like a bargain to me! Genuinely confused as why you would put your hard cash down on something that clearly has been treated like crap.
  12. 5K seems really cheap for a 350z imo. I paid 6.5 for mine and I felt I got a good deal but it was evident the car needed work. All new tyres - £700 Various suspension bits - ranging from £60 to £600 quid! New headunit -and speakers - £450 Plus all the other extras you will need to consider. Like gear knobs, lug nuts, antenna etc It can get expensive.
