I'd argue the opposite, why believe something for which there is no evidence? Do you believe in unicorns? Leprechauns? Fairies? We have no evidence for those but not many people believe they exist.

But why? There is the same amount of evidence for life on another planet as there is that god exists? I.e. Zero. There may not be any evidence of life on other planets, but the laws of probability suggest there most likely is. For me I think it's reasonable to think that of the trillions of planets out there, this is probably not the only one to have life on it. To say that something is probable based on what we already know and can observe, is very different from saying something is true because I just think it is.

You make the mistake many people make. An atheist does not necessarily say "there are no gods". That would be a ridiculous claim that cannot be proven. However, what we do say is "I don't believe there are any gods because it has not been proven otherwise". There is a subtle but definite difference.

Atheism is not a belief system. It's not believing in gods. That's it. As for who can be proved right, well the burden of proof lies with the ones making the claim, that being that there is a god.

We got married on 7 October and we had 28 guests. Immediate family and closest friends only. Everyone that really matters. We then had another 20 people at night. All planned in 6 months over and done with. The day was brilliant, nice intimate do that didn't cost he earth. We just told other people that we were keeping costs down and sorry but it's family only. If they didn't like it then tough titty. We donated to cancer research, got a load of cancer research badges, and put them in a little favour box along with a Lindor, and a message saying that a donation had been made on the guests behalf.

Don't you need to go to Church for a couple of weeks before hand? Yep. They make you go a few times or they don't let you get married there. I do kind of get the appeal, nice buildings make for nice photos and all that, but there was no way I was getting married in church. I don't know what they charge but the worlds only trillionaire organisation must surely need every penny

The Sainsbury's Christmas advert. Last year I visited the Normandy American Cemetery Memorial. Standing there looking at crosses as far as the eye can see really hammers home the cost of war. It was a very moving and humbling experience, and I think it's something everyone should do.

As has been said, because you don't reject the existence of any god, then no you are not an atheist. As for your dilemma, how any intelligent logical thinking person can read a holy book and believe it to be true is incomprehensible to me. The simple fact that there are so many, and even different versions of the same one, should ring alarm bells without even picking it up. Religion is man made. It is so obvious I don't know how it's even up for question. Holy books are full of contradictions and fantastic stories. They are also supposed to be the word of the one true god. What, all of them? They can't all be the true. There are also almost 3000 deities. If you're going to choose one, choose wisely! As for their being a creator of some kind, well this I can see why people may perhaps struggle with a bit more. I get that there is an infinitely small chance of life coming in to being, but obviously it's not impossible since we're all here. The beginnings of life has been explained. Evolution is proven and can be observed. We know how we got here. We have to accept that we don't know everything. That's not a reason to fill in the gaps with god. It's perfectly acceptable to say we don't know - yet. You'll often hear the religious say that everything can't come from nothing and that the universe MUST have been made by god. They can never explain where god came from however, or why their particular god is the real one.

Just found a Redlne thread on them cheers. Tarmac are the supplier I've already seen, although I haven't contacted Chris directly. The price form both is bonkers. I don't mind if a part is £10, £100, or £1000, as long as it seems worth the money. Only just seen that it's best to remove the front bumper to fit them too. Not sure I'm THAT bothered. Anyone know if they can be fitted an easier way?
