  1. I feel like in my teens again. Same feeling  when I got my first scooter.

Here we still have that freedom that we can use freely forest's and hills. We avoid any property or land which is used for farming or private but there is really a lot of terrain and forest which can be used.

I wanted to buy croesser for a long time now but I was living in city so it was pointless

After I moved to mainland and with so many forest's in close vicinity it was time for it.

I spent all my motorcycle career on road but simply traffic and number or cars and reckless drivers have increased abnormally and risk for accident is really big.

Motocross for me doesn't lack any adrenaline or danger at all comparing to road bikes.

  2. Diesels where decade ago modern revelation and where it ended up. Big "fraud"

To me smells the same with EV's

Been reading couple a weeks ago article from a scientist who is now in his late 70's and was pro all this global warming stuff and climate changes, actually he was some leading expert in that field...

As per his words all computer modelings where not complete enough and there is no actual proof on global warming impacted by humans. He admitted he was wrong for years.

As per him just an eruption of vulcano discharges massive loads of gases which takes car a grate deal of time to accumulate

Wow. A bit different from a superbike. I`ve had a couple of KTM`s, a 620 & a 640 and loved them but only used them on road.

This is mine first contact with KTM so I don't know much about them but they have reputation of reliable bikes. Although sounds underpowered, but 250 in forest and gravel is quite fast thing at least for novice like me. Magnificent thing for wheelies

  4. And than 180° degree turn

    Ktm SXF 250 2008

I've been hearing a lot lately on enduro hive and last couple of years i wanted to get motocross bike specially after I moved to mainland with a lot of forests and plains surroundings.

Novice in this type of bikes but they are tons of fun and adrenaline. I regret now for not doing this before.

Really loads of fun for affordable price

Unbelievable what kind of terrain this bikes can tackle.

  5. @Silverthorn I had a talk with a chap who has ST150 rated on dyno 198 bhp with Cosworth inlet manifold. As per him below 5200 rpm there is significant loss of torque and with Cossy manifold and Cams majority of that power is from 6k to 7.8k rpm. Which for daily driver is not something I'm after.

I think i already had a look on FF inlets but they are pricey too, around 800 gbp if I'm not mistaken.

If I could reach 180-190 with cams and without inlet manifold expenses that would be awesome result as I'm going with similar mods like you do.

Can't believe I haven't spotted this thread before. Used to have a MK6 ST before my 370. Loved that car, it was so unbelievably fun to drive! Had a spec list as long as my arm before I sold it as well:lol: the car was completely gutted, no audio system, no heater system or AC, no sound deadening or carpet, headlining and all trim removed as well as a whole host of suspension/braking mods, engine rebuild etc. etc. ... Horrendously impractical but so fun at the same time! I spent way too much money on that car!

Here's mine not too long before I sold it.

I look forward to seeing how yours progresses

Wooooow. That was serious build. Performance wise that was full moded.

What power you had in the end?

I'm after any tips that you might share and that can save me time learning on my mistakes.

So far I discovered gearbox is weak link, first was shifting which was very stiff and afterwards unfortunately gear shaft. Good thing internals from Focus MK2 can fit so rebuild is not so "costly". And for shifting I greased everything good ao will try tomorrow.

Im trying to squeeze out as much as I can with basic mods without opening engine. I would be happy with some 180-190 figure after i put cams and inlet manifold. I really don't wan't to go full mental as this should be daily car

Only thing I'm concerned is remap of ECU. For now I have some tune of one fiesta that had 166 bhp on dyno. Which mod it had I have no clue but my car is running excellent now. I have feeling it's different car.

I was thinking after so many Google searches to go with Dreamsiencd Stratagem box which has a lot of tunes inside.

Unfortunately I'm in Croatia so Fiesta ST aren't much popular nor do we have so much tubers available to work on OEM computer

  7. Busy day today. Hopefully all will be done tomorrow as I have body works and painting booked on Wednesday.

So far throttle (60mm) is on, flywheel was lightened from 8.25 to 6.5 kg so quite anxious to see result. Anembo spacers have been added on rear axle to improve high speed stability. Gearbox up and manifold wraped with heat tape

  8. This afternoon quite of set back. After having gerbox down we found the cause of whining noise. Initially I suspect on differential but it turned out to be main gearbox shaft. Teeth on shaft had been damage.

I got spare gearbox from Ford Focus 2.0 and in visual inspection it was clear they are do not have the same housint bell.

    Major disaster.

After few phone calls it was clear i will not find spare gearbox anytime soon.

We decided to open spare from Focus and hope internals will be the same.

Fortune favours the brave and spare Focus gearbox was identical with internals and in good shape. So we decided to assemble Focus gearbox inside Fiesta ST housing.

Later in the afternoon I've collected manifold and header's. Cool bits

  9. Got the car back from audio upgrade. Cool stuff and yeeeees, finally decent sound. Pioneer MVH-A200VBT 2din is a quite good bang for buck radio, Bluetooth connectivity, it can be used for phone calls too. Sound is very clean although without amplifier and woffer there is lack of bass. Since car is mainly DD and used for transportation of little toddler trunk will remain woffer free other wise no space stroller. We can make it up with exhaust

Thursday we are booked for installation of Quaife diff, since I got spare gearbox too we will inspect both and install one which is in better shape.

New slave cylinder will be installed to avoid latter on any possibilities in any failures. I hope by Thursday I will receive Scorpion manifold and Sport cat plus tomorrow I will order PSA relocation kit together with oil cooler and 60mm throttle body. Would be nice to have all this parts before Thursday.

Once headers arrive plan is to wrap them in thermal tape to keep engine bay temps low as possible.

These are for now main bits and pieces for careless driving.

Remaining is intake and cams which will be done this winter.

Buddy who took over car for me did some measurements over some application and got power graph on delivery of car.

Tonight he did again run after remap.

Just a remap without any mods aside of KN and flexi 60mm from 149bhp to 162. Best ever spent 30 GBP in Tuning so far.

  10. Today I handed over car to a buddy who is in audio stuff.

He will install Pioneer MVH-A200VBT 2din radio and 4 2-Way coaxial speakers Ground Zero GZRF 65AL

Since I plan to install Quaife lsd next week and gearbox will be down I was in doubt for exhaust manifold and sport cat. So hopefully by Wednesday all be here

Its all coming back to me now!! Think the weakness in the 'box is the diff so with the Quaife installed you'll be fixing that...........I ran the Quaife atb diff in my old Mk2 Astra GTE track car and it put 280hp to the ground very effectively!! If you've not driven with one before with fwd they actually pull the car into a tighter line on acceleration through the corner which takes some getting used to but gives great traction on its way out of the corners and you can get on the power so early.

Mine did the same with the gear shift becoming stiff, if I recall correctly you remove a rocker arm off the front of the box and open up the pivot point half a mm (to 12.5mm I think) and that sorted it. Be even better if you opened it up further and pressed in a bearing instead of plastic bushing.

Power steering boiling over too I remember reading about, wasn't a problem for me on the road but tracking it I think the issue starts. As you say a relocation kit fixes it.

    Great fun little toy..........enjoy!

Cool glad to have info from first hand. Aside of this few common issues I reckon it shouldn't be any major problems.

I had in past Suzuki Swift Sport converted to Turbo with Mfactory diff. Completely transforms the car. I can't imagine any more a fwd car without lsd. Without LSD it just feels like you are walking with wooden leg around.

Just to be on safe side, this arrived tonight

  12. This morning I went for ECU reflash. Quite positive upgrade for 30 gbp.

Response on gas pedal is much better. Car feels more alive. All in all quite happy with change.

Quaife already arrived. Unbelievable. Payed yesterday and this morning already in Croatia

    IMG_20180920_131132.jpg

  13. @350Butcher I've read as well on gearbox issues. I hope it will not be the case with mine. Although... Differential is very noisy I reckon bearing. I've tried with new oil but no luck. Anyway this morning I've ordered Quaife Atb with new shaft seals and bearing diff from Burton power. Other thing I noticed changing of gears is bit stiff. I found few videos on YT how to fix that.

Second thing is power steering tank location. Oil is boiling very quickly so I will go with PSA relocator kit and power steering cooler.

Afterwards is just all plug and play mods.

But all in all really lovely car and quite fun for daily activities.

Dreamscience do deliver i believe some of their stuff is awesome they have hand sets for ecu flashing and stuff so you don't necessarily have to visit them if you know what i mean?

Yeah I've been looking into their stiff too. Will see after I meet lad who has this Jam Sport 200 kit which comes together with "box" and ecu flashes.
