  1. Why don't more people do what Nismo did and put 18s on the front and 19s on the rear? Best of all worlds surely? Does there need to be significant changes to suspension setup?
  2. Sorry to bring up an old thread but thoughts this would be a relevant place to ask... I've recently remapped my roadster and throttle response and smooth power delivery have definitely been evident. I read somewhere from a chap who TT'd and forged a Z for £25k who wrote if you simply remap and push more power you would eventually fry the rods in the DE. Fact or fiction!? (either way... A little late now!)
  3. Purely out of interest is there any point of higher capacity injectors in an NA early-mid 300bhp Zed? Would a "relaxed" duty cycle benefit the longer term reliability of a NA tuned Zed?
  4. Great result. Very jealous you've had a chance to drive yours - 8 more weeks before I'm out of my aircast boot to have a first drive post-remap
  5. I've once come back from Hong Kong with two diamond audio silk components and a rear wing for a Celica I drove when I was 19 without being questioned
  6. Meguires headlight kit ordered - thanks for all the advice Turtle ICE wax paste kit... £57 on Amazon?! What's the stuff made of?!
  7. Hard for them to charge me if they open my luggage up and there's two unpackaged light clusters. They can't charge me if my cousin in the US gifts me some spare parts! My cousin actually drives a G35 coupe!
  8. Great news! So much cheaper over there. Just gotta strategically wrap one each with mine and wife's clothes on way back!
  9. First time I've ever heard of a head light cleaning kit. Love this forum cheers guys! P.S. what does d/a stand for in this context?!
  10. Noticed a rough film of grease that must have built up over the years (we have a 2005 DE Roadster) and not entirely sure what best products to use to clean it off without scratching the lenses. Gives the lenses an unattractive cloudy look. Anyone else got this, or even better a solution? Cheers in advance
  11. I know for a fact I've read an import compatibility thread somewhere but for the love of god search has now been on my side today. I'm sorry for reposting but can someone please enlighten me if I purchase 06+ OEM LED rear clusters whether they'll be compatible with my UK DE and what "minor wiring modifications" are necessary? Going over in June and wanting to pick up a set as well as a "genuine" Nismo chrome gear knob
  12. The ZR has just come back from Horsham Developments yesterday after its intermediate service and first bout of performance modifications (thanks to Jez, Richard and Craig) I'm astonished by the paper results - unfortunately due to a torn Achilles' tendon I won't be feeling the difference for a few weeks yet... All the better reason to wish for a speedy recovery! Model: 2005 DE Roadster, 59k miles Performance Mods: AEM filters, Motordyne ISO plenum spacer, Berks HFCs, Cobra cat back exhaust, H-Dev custom remap - all parts new except cobra cat back has been run in around 2000-3000 miles. Dyno: Dyno dynamics (Horsham Developments) BHP: 312.8 hp at the fly and just about 259 whp from what u can tell from the graph Torque: 290 FtLb or just under from what I can tell on the graph Second job my brother and I have entrusted to Horsham Developments, nothing but excellent feedback. Well done chaps, highly recommended.
  13. Always wanted black headlights on my silver roadster - just checked the one eighty site unfortunately doesn't look like it's got the halo kit for a pre 06 DE. Would there be a discount if I only wanted the lights turned black without fitment of halo kit?
  14. I'm planning to remap my 2005 DE is there a significant difference in the improvement I can expect between my model and an Uprev 300bhp model? I've read a lot of "uprev" when reading about remapping I'm confused if there's actually a difference... I'll be fitting a panel filter, plenum spacer and HFCs to combine with the cobra cat back.
  15. Preliminarily sold to newbie101 collecting on Tuesday will advise if anything falls through. Thanks
  16. Some more pics... Tried to ask my brother to take photos of tread but don't think he understands it's the longitudinal lines that matter lol https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24820&authkey=!AC_Xf1mYJ0fnZIQ&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24821&authkey=!AAB5TBdyyvCTaNw&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24822&authkey=!AB1XLMEVyUFLTb0&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24826&authkey=!AHi3l086vG_kiKY&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24823&authkey=!APJcaX8PnaeUERk&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24824&authkey=!APe_577etpliIT0&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CE7D1BE3BE1BB047!24825&authkey=!ADRsNOXAqP46btA&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg Last two links are prob best - plenty of tread left. £100 for wheels and part worn tyres come on this is a bargain!
  17. Sorry for delayed reply. Yes fit brembos without spacers these are the stock wheels supplied by Nissan! Will take pics of tread but in hind sight there's probably a lot more left than I quoted. Wheels are located in HP5 1HU.
  18. These are still not sold! Down to £100! Bargain for someone. Collection only from HP5 1HU.
  19. Interestingly enough I understand the Nismo 350Z sports 18x9" in the front and 19x10" wheels in the rear. Would one assume they have completely re-tuned the "geometry" for that set up?
  20. I'm personally on stock suspension and Rays, and don't plan to modify either in the immediate future! Admittedly the slightly larger than ideal gap between the wheels and the arches does tickle my Zeditis but if I ever do revisit this gap I'd probably be combining wider, lighter wheels with coil overs or springs. HFCs, plenum spacer, panel filter and remap must take priority (probably closely followed by a Hide n Seat retrim - they do some awesome stuff!)
  21. Bought my Cobra (resonated) catback from Mitz, excellent service and advice, can't recommend strongly enough. Here it is with stock cats: Cold Start In cabin with a gentle push Never heard a Scorpian but extremely happy with the Cobra for it's balance of deep hum, rasp-free and mental-yet-sophisticated-when-pushed tones! Was going to go for Buddy Club but was warned off it's ridiculous volume that gets quickly irritating.
  22. Should I therefore consider 4 wheel alignment? Are there further implications to the reliability aspect of the suspension set up under normal driving conditions?
