  1. Im aware the car is a little 'rice' I will be changing stuff if I were to buy it, but the colour, and engine mods, bonnet etc.. are all exactly what I want. Yes I will be removing the stickers if I purchase it.
  2. Been stalking about online for a used Zed to part Ex my BMW for as still hungering for a 350z after all this time and now work close enough for it to be practical. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311302580887 Saw this zed for sale and love the way it looks and the way most the stuff I wanted to do are already done so saves me a lot of time and effort. I know its a little bit rice but the guy states "the car has mainly been owned by Nissan club members. so has been maintained to the highest standards "So was wondering if that was anyone's on here former ride? Regards, Svothe
  3. Nice motor, always seeing you around Bedford. Its almost identical to my mates white 370z also in Bedford I keep getting you two mixed up its doing my head in.
  4. New 335i for the price of a specced up focus ST haha. Get on it.
  5. As foul as that is, its not quite as disgusting as what showed up on the search from that. "r8 style" Somebody help me, I just choked on my own vomit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-R8-STYLED-TT-ROADSTER-QUATTRO-with-STAGE-2-Full-Engine-Rebuild-SHOW-CAR/251764268784?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28111%26meid%3D9ba4ccadfb464a598dc8c9ec7937c277%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D11472%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D131362476409&rt=nc
  6. Lol, that long bend your are talking about near the dam, i came out of the village there on my Ducati 996 earlier in the year and was about to nail it only to spot a cop car reversing behind a hedge up ahead. Was just pure luck. Had I been 5mins later or on my Yamaha R1 I would have easily been wringing its neck by that point. Got some great gopro footage of the cops watching me poodle by waving at them as they set up their speed camera. The same day, about 40mins later I was coming out of Old Weston on the B660, turned left still on the B660 and again (as you`ll know) its a long fast bit of road which goes up & over the a14 to Catworth, and wouldnt you know it another cop had reversed in a field entrance and for some reason was training his gun on a tree in the field. He heard the open race pipes on my 996 and swung around like Tiger Woods tee`ing off to try and focus the gun on me. Luckily for me (kind of I guess) minutes earlier, the clutch on my 996 had decided to blow up so I wasnt far off the speed limit as I past him with bits of clutch hanging out the side of my engine. He looked very confused as to why I wasnt speeding. Still, I made it the 15 mile or so home without any clutch. Will have to give motech a bell as Earls Barton is only just down the road. The only problem I had was that my cars a late 2011 and BMW properly encoded all the ECU`s on them & later ones so when I enquired last year only a few tuners could decode & map them. That top end of the B660 from Kimbolton up through catworth and that way is stunning, don't ride it as often as the part from Kimbolton to Bedford but its still a fantastically technical piece of road. Real good for those 'Lets just go for a ride/drive' times. I like to ride from my house all the way up the B660 to Oundle, stop at the tea rooms on the corner then pootle back, nail it down the B645 to Higham Ferrers, Down the A6 into town then back down the B660 to my house again. Wicked little loop Give the guy a call, he definitely knows what he is doing and always worth just asking to have a look. Say Harry with the A3/335D sent you and maybe he'll knock some off. My first map with him was £320 with a free pipercross filter thrown in he's quoted me £260 for my one on the 335d as he said I'm a repeat customer. Real gent.
  7. I suppose its just a question of taste, I have to park it outside my window at work so I can gaze lovingly at it all day xD
  8. Seriously if you ever fancy a spirited drive out (driving to your own abilities only no real silly buggary) then give me a shout. Theres a little group of us in reasonably 'performancey' cars (scoobies, focus RSs, STs, VXRs, 335is, m3s etc..) who like to go for a nice country drive every now and again round those parts. More than happy to have someone else tag along if they fancy it. B645 and B660 are group favourites I think And if you do enjoy the B645 please slow down for the 90 degree bend right near the water tower as you approach (or leave) Hargrave, as the idiot farmer who lives there seems to take great delight in spreading the road full of mud every day making it as slippery as hell. I drive that road twice a day every day on my daily commute and ive lost track of the number of cars ive seen in the ditches there. Other than that, in summer its a cracking route, especially when im out on my motorbikes, but the police also know that, so frequently sit in the B660, the B645 and the B661 out to Grafham. In summer you can literally guarantee if its a nice sunny Sunday the police mobile trap will be parked up on one or more of those roads. They have also for some unknown reason just dropped the speed limit in Tilbrook from 40 down to 30 which can catch you out. The 335d is a nice car. When I sold my zed it was a toss up between the 335d coupe and the 123d coupe. I went for the 123d coupe. Im just debating atm whether to get it remapped as you can get it up to over 300bhp & over 400ft/lb. Not bad for a 2litre. Yep, I'm a biker too and have most certainly noticed the 3 inches of filth regular strewn across the road there. In fact I think I've got a GoPro video of a biker infront of me launching his Hornet into the grass on that same corner in the mud and dirt. I live on the B660 and commute down it daily to work so know all about the police presence come summer. 2 Years commuting on a motorbike must admit I had a few close calls with the man in the hi-vis car. Again that Grafham road, ooft what a stunner. Coming round the corner to see that long winding bend past the dam and your just itching to give it a hand full of throttle and my only honest advice is don't debate just do it. I've had my last few diesel motors mapped and absolutely cannot recommend it enough. It's like driving another car. If your looking for someone to do it around this sort of area have a look at Motech Performance. (http://www.motechperformance.co.uk/) he's done all my cars up until this last one and I'll even be taking the 335d there later this year for the dpf delete, egr removal and then remap upto 380bhp. Yeah I'm with you on this one the e90 does absolutely nothing for me. Just looks like an old mans car, Coupe and convertible though both look slicker than slick. The torque makes for interesting every day driving, you put your foot down at any point and the surge forward is immediate, with the both turbo's going there is virtually no lag just lots of pull forward. Pulls from about 1k revs all the way to the red line at 5k very easily. The strange thing about the 335d is that it revs really freely (much more similar to a petrol engine than any other diesel motor I've driven) and the acceleration is ridonculous, put your foot down at 80 and it feels like yours till in first gear. ( ) just goes and goes and goes. Now those 335is, wow there is not a great deal like them on the roads. Seen a few down at Santa Pod absolutely demolish cars that should normally leave it in a cloud of smoke, even the ones just running JB4 are putting down scary amounts of power. Would definitely love one if I could afford to take it to work every day xD Oh and jesus wept, someone has one runnign 515bhp and 855nm on youtube,
  9. Yeah, but they just in the other warehouse. But the real killer is the MoTec exhaust Yea but what really he needs is Nos the big ones in fact make it two But only if he fills them up enough to blow himself up **** sakes, I'm now going to have to go and rewatch the original movie to get quotes. You bastards I had work to do tonight.

Oh and one of us just bought one of these too. I'm a tad jealous.

  12. I know this experience. I bought 10 packs of chocolate fingers for 'work related purposes' and came home to discover 4 boxes gone. IN ONE DAY.
  13. Being a St Neots fellow I imagine you have had yourself a few enjoyable runs down that wonderful stretch of tarmac between St Neots and Higham Ferrers called the B645? I am convinced there is not a better piece of driving/biking road in the south east of england.
  14. What this gentleman here said. Also, your from St Neots? I live like right next to there. We should race! (joke)
  15. Yeah that was a straight line drag, I don't doubt the M3 would give it a good kicking round the bends. Going out in my pals M3 the cornering is phenomenal. We have a cheap track day sorted this spring so should be interesting to have a play in the BM though and see what its like without having to worry about what's on the other side of the road. Very much looking forward too it. Also guys don't think I'm sitting here saying whoop. Its the best car ever produced. Don't get me wrong I think the engine in the 335d is absolutely fantastic, but its never going to compete with a serious performance car round the bends or on track without a lot of work. But that isn't really what the car is designed to do. Its a big comfy autobahn cruiser for sitting there at 100 and something mph and still getting decent mpg and plenty of tug when you put your foot down. Would I still love a zed? Hell Yeah, especially to throw around on a sunday morning but am I happy with the compromise from the BM. Absolutely, as an every day car I don't think I could have done much better. Good mpg, an involving drive and plenty of power to enjoy when you have too. But for me really, its nice being able to sit there mon-fri at 70mph with the cruise on in absolute comfort and then when it comes to sat and sunday morning meet up with my pals in there proper performance cars and still enjoy a spirited drive and I think really thats what this car is about.
  16. and if someone were to investigate my actions I could politely inform them that I work at a disused runway and we regularly are allowed to take our cars onto the runway for entertainment purposes and my friend with his black convertible e46 M3 who also works with me is also allowed to. I'm not sure what other proof they could have to go against that. Honestly do I sometimes exceed the speed limit in my car. Probably, however find me somebody who doesn't. Hell I could point out three or four local police officers who all come out on motorbikes on a sunday morning with our bike club and have done very interesting speeds. I've redacted that statement from my initial post. If people would like to discuss cars that's all good with me. If people want to sit there in there I never go above 30 bubble they're welcome too. But lets be honest, you don't and even if you did you voicing your thoughts isn't going to stop anybody driving the way they do. For the record, I get a much better buzz from driving nice tight winding roads than I do sitting there going flat out like a silly buggar and not just for the challenge, but yes because I'm a lot less likely to get in trouble for doing so.
  17. I'm sure all of you sports car owners stick entirely to the speed limits all the time. To be fair my office is at a race track and we do have a lot of private roads there, and one **** off run way. Infact one of the longest run ways outside of Heathrow but that's not really relevant. Not telling the story isn't going to mean that it hasn't happened. I apologise profusely if my short tale of putting my foot down has offended the mighty senior car people. I'll be sure not to tell similar stories of excessive speeds in the future, However, the thread is really here to discuss the car not the way in which its being driven.
  18. I thought I'd start a little thread just because I miss the friendliness of people on this forum. After some internal argument and external argument with family between getting a 350z and suffering for fuel on my 60 mile commute each day or getting a diesel @*!# box and being bored the whole time I decided on a reasonably inbetween car. Picked up this, Its a BMW 335D so the 3 litre twinturbo diesel engien. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago, 335D SE, 68K Miles, FSH, Black with Red leather interior. Car was in pretty good condition and I was pretty happy with the buy after the trouble I went through with buying the first only to have it crashed by the valeter before I even picked it up! Anyway the new car was already fitted with a superchips remap so it was pretty nippy coming from a remapped 188bhp A3 to this sitting at around the 335bhp and 510ftlbs mark. Plus driving to work each day I'm averaging about 39-41mpg and thats not driving slowly. [END STATEMENTS REDACTED TO ALLOW PEOPLES EMOTIONAL TRAUMA TO SUBSIDE.] Anyway here goes, DAY 1: Woke up today (14/12/2014) and got the bucket and sponge out and gave the car its first proper clean since I've bought it. Didn't get the opportunity to do a proper polish but got all the salt off and did a quick spray on detail to try and get a bit of shine out of the paint. I'm pretty happy with the results for a 30 min wash. Then proceeded to go and find a moody background and take a nice little snap for facebook xD
  19. I've just bought a 335D and thats scary quick, I can only imagine how much of a demon the 35i engine is. Good buy, I'm sure that will @*!# up a few boy racers.
  20. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/91630-mpg-i-know-it-comes-up-a-lot/ Another mpg discussion, lots of info buried in there!
  21. Thanks for all the information guys, today I splashed the cash finally and invested in a BMW 335D. I hope I'll be back to the Wonderful land of Zed in the future with my first 350z but right now I just can't manage the petrol prices. Pics, because pics are always relevant.. Thanks for all the information everybody much appreciated! http://pictures2.autotrader.co.uk/imgser-uk/servlet/media?id=e4607bd4b5ece4678151ed65f44176bd&width=1024&height=768
  22. Do you have a picture of the rust spot? just wondering about the size/severity
  23. Okay, I've applied for a job nearer to my house so I can buy a zed regardless. I love the zed too much.
