  2. Hey guys

I can't seem to last anymore than 4 days of not using the car and the battery goes dead. I've had a goluk t1 dadhcam put in the car since I felt this was draining the battery so I've had the installers fit a power regulator which cut power off to the camera once it reaches 11.2v. Battery was still going dead so I got them to change it to the blackvue one which you can set at 12v cut off.

It's still doing it. And I mean completely dead. Like I can't even unlock my car. Any ideas on what it could be?

The installers came over and we're pretty thorough and showed me how the power switches off to the dahs camera when it gets to a certain voltage. But they did say I had an unusually high draw from the battery when the cars off but they couldn't tell where this was going go. This was even with the camera disconnected.

Any help would be great since I'm stuck at home not being able to get to work :(

  3. Hey guys.

I'm selling my summer rubber and I'm on winters now with no space to store the summers.

Rear tyres have about 4.7mm on one and 4.5mm on the other. I did use a gauge from Lidl though but you can see it in the photos.

Looking for £160 for both rears (got them on at £180 elsewhere and on gumtree but reduced price for forum members)

If someone wants the fronts too which are rainsport I'll do them both for £100.

Fronts have more tread...around 5.5mm if I remember correctly. Either way the combo is fantastic and at £260 for 4 tyres it's a pretty decent price I'd say so no offers please. Both these tyres have lasted me absolutely ages so you'll get plenty life out then yet.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to put a piece of paper up with my name but I'm hoping that using a gauge to measure these proves they are not just ripped off the Internet :)

Collection from Glasgow or delivery can be arranged by courier at buyers cost. Think it's like £25 for all 4 tyres if I remember correctly. 64891d90269627c62f3a20faea38bfb8.jpg

  4. Yeah I find their prices are a bit high now. Also I got shafted last time because they advertised their P1, P2 and P3 incorrectly and I only realised when it came to pay.

Used to use them for my wi tee tyres and wheels but suddenly they went from £50 to £110 to change over 4 tyres :O! Other places are like £10 a corner. Also I realised literally this evening they didn't stamp my service book for the device I done in February so I'll need to go back.

I agree with the service slipping and prices increasing :(

  5. Cool. Keep this post updated too matey. Great for us to know how it's turned out after a month or two.

My car also has a strange feel and juddering sometimes when pulling away but I usually dip the clutch then give more revs and it's not a problem. Worried now it might be something else after reading this thread lol. Problem is I don't want to spend loads on the car if you get what I mean.

As for driving it drives very well. No issues

  6. So I'd like to have it recording all the time unless my battery goes low. It's more for any hit and runs TBH. So I think I need to get another voltage cut off cable which cuts off power to the cam if the battery gets below a certain value.

Anyone have any recommendations and can I connect it to anywhere in the car that is effectively the battery rather than trying to get a cable through a Groningen to connect directly onto the battery?

    Sorry for the silly questions

  7. Wow the Blackvue ones are so expensive lol

I just ordered a Goluk T1 since I got good reviews from an installer. It's £90 from Amazon.

I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Is there anything special I need to do to wire it to the battery but ensure that it doesn't drain the battery? Like should it be connected to a fuse in particular

  8. Hey I'm looking to get a dash cam.

First thing is that there are not many that are dual camera like front and back. My concern is that someone hits my car and drives off so I kinda want front and back.

Any recommendations apart from the road angel since it's so expensive.

Also How can you wire it so that it keeps recording when the car is parked? I hear some cameras have an ability to monitor the battery voltage and if it falls below a certain value it switches off.

Also for front only what dash cam do people recommend? I heard the Goluk T1 is meant to be decent.

Oh and should I pay someone £50 to install it or DIY

    Thanks
