  1. Hey all,

in my quest to find a 370z ive seen one which doesnt have the standard rays wheels. Instead it has 20" Vossen rims so i thought GREAT! vossen are really good. but im not sure these wheels work.

Im planning on getting the amuse kit on the car- maybe that will help. i think the wheels look too aftermarket for the relatively plain car. maybe refurbing the wheels would help to take away the diamond cut finish. Its a shame since this is the one thing holding me back from getting this car.

I have thought about flogging them on here for a part exchange for some standard 19" rays. these wheels new are £2500 if i remember correctly.

what do you think about likelihood of selling on here or what i could do to make the wheels work with the car

  2. So in anticipation for finding a 370 (lol!) you'll see I'm posting a lot!

I hear that the standard exhaust isn't very good. On my celica I have a better back box but I found removing the mid silencer really opened her up in terms of noise when gunning it.

So instead of me spending my cash on a new exhaust, I thought about getting the mid silencer(s) removed. An exhaust place near me does it for £50 and welds pipe in its place.

    Any reviews would be good.

Ps how many silencers and cats does the 370 have?

  3. thanks for the replies. I didn't see the sig since i was on my phone so apologies.

i seen one in the flesh and i like the interior. there was significant wear around the driver side handle though so may have to look at getting the door card re-done.

Im really hoping that this GT ultimate has the connect plus??? its a 20099 model. Some have said connect plus came out in 2010. any idea what month since some 59 plates also go into 2010.

apart from the postcode sat nav and iPod connectivity is there anything else the connect plus has over the standard? i may be close to closing a deal on a 2009 zed but the only sticking point is the potential lack of connect plus.

another one doesn't have the standard rays wheels. It has other ones but i prefer the standard. Can i buy the standard 19" rays and how much would it set me back? I'm sure some members would want a part exchange these wheels. They are Vossen wheels

  4. Cool.

Just that I was initially thinking cayman s and decided it would age me and thought a 370 for a few years would serve me well. Also a cayman is like 8-9k more expensive and that's out of my reach.

I bought my celica without even test driving it and I love it so much. I modified parts which were maybe lacking and would be willing to do the same with the 370z.

In comparison to the celica the 370z did feel extremely heavy! Not sure what I can do about that

  5. Hey

I watched a video of Chris Harris review of the 370z and it didn't seem great.

Just wondering if anyone can relate to what he is saying and if people have taken any steps to resolve some of the issues?

I for one would like to get lowering springs on whatever zed I get. Maybe a short shifter too and brass gear bushes to improve the shift

    Thanks

  6. thanks all.

I will still be keeping the celica- the wife will have it lol. she and I love it too much to let it go.

A few celica members have migrated over to a zed. I've never driven one before but i do like the 370. especially the nismo edition! the thing with a zed is that you can kit it up and there is more of a community. with the cayman, it seems to be a rule that Porsches should not be modified which is a bunch of malarky! the cayman looks too plain as standard. guys in the USA mod their caymans but not in the uk i don't think

  7. Hello y'all

    I'm new to the forum. I haven't got a 370 or 350 but I'm thinking of buying a 370z.

I currently have a celica GT (limited edition in red) and I've had it for 7 years. I absolutely love my car but think it may be time to get another.

I've been thinking about a 370 or a cayman s. Anyone has both and what's your opinion?

Caymans seem a but expensive just now so may have to wait.

Am I right in thibk in there are just 3 models of 370? What about any extra sports packs etc? Also has there been a facelift version and if so what year?

Here are some pics of my car meanwhile.
