  2. Bah! Sorry to see your photos. I feel your pain. I had exactly the same thing happen to my old mr2 the day after I spent £700 on it getting it through it's MOT for one last year. You can be the best driver in the world but that doesn't mean someone else won't wreck your pride and joy. Hope you don't lose out too badly. Don
  3. 53 plate 62k, 4k driven since I bought it 5 months ago. All good miles!
  4. I do the same thing. Got nothing to do this weekend & nowhere to be but f**k it if I'm not still going to take my Mrs out in the Zed just for the hell of it. Yep, me too. Was only going to the shop for a paper.. had to take it for a super-blat via the dual carriageway! Totally unnecessary BUT NECESSARY!!
  5. Ian, Received the boot divider today. Quality piece of work. Nice tight fit! Many thanks! Don

    Just Checking

I have decided to go for Goodyear Efficientgrips all round as they had better efficiency and road noise ratings but you pays your money and you takes your choices. As far as I'm concerned, the only golden rule is match (when you can) and don't skimp. (Ok, strictly-speaking that may be two rules!)
  7. Yep, after initial problems reading the stick on an afternoon having left the car for a few hours after blatting it, I then read the stick after it had been sat overnight and it was very clear where the oil level was.
  8. I have Falken 453's on the back that came with the car. They have 4mm remaining and I wouldn't trust them in the wet as far as I could throw them. Have had quite a few WAHAY! moments with them. Plan to replace them with Goodyear EfficientGrips (like the recently replaced fronts) at the end of Jan. They are proper sticky. At the end of the day, everyone has their own opinions on tyres. It's probably the most divisive topic on the forum!
  9. I agree. It's a real sod to read. One reading looks full, the next looks low - I end up taking about 20 readings to try and guage the real level but I'm never 100% sure..
  10. Hi Ian, Heard about your industry from Lyndzzz at my first meet the other weekend.. would also like to place an order if I may! Cheers Don
  11. Am 43, 12 years no claims, no points, no convictions, decent area, park on the drive, 5000 miles a year £240 fully comp protected. Golden rule is NEVER automatically renew, shop around every year. I saved £70 by doing this. Also, if you are living with a lady, try making her a named driver and see if that drops your price. It used to work - not sure if it still does.
  12. Thanks everyone! Drove back up the M6 from Manchester to Penrith and then "across the tops" along the A66 to Scotch Corner. Very much driver's roads all the way. Now all I need to do is master a smooth transition through those first 4 gears!! Don
  13. Hi All, Just picked up my first 350Z today after wanting one for a few years. Really enjoyed the 2 hour drive home. Looking forward to spending the next few weeks getting to know the car. It's my second RWD car but it's a lot more powerful than my (beloved) mk2 MR2 ever was so am taking it steady on those bends and roundabouts.. Got loads of questions relating to Zed ownership, tweaks, fixes etc but I'm sure all of my questions have already been covered numerous times so I'll start with the FAQ and search function on the forums before I start bothering you good people. Take it easy! Don
