  1. Yes I can obviously but frame rate also depends on your equipment (TV, leads etc) and I stand by that the majority of the population won't notice much difference between the same film on a DVD compared to a Bluray.

I'm not that bothered about the majority of the population but anyone into games would notice the difference, on youtube there are comparison videos for most games, in most games its very noticable just on graphics when it comes to playing it can be night and day. Of course if you are playing Sonic the Hedgehog it wont matter just like if you are watching Gone with the Wind on DVD V Bluray, very different story to something like Forza Horizon or watching a Marvel superhero movie on Bluray or DVD

  2. PC master race here , gaming is simply sub par on consoles ,...

The truth is that there is very little noticeable difference between the two which the majority of the population would even notice (imho).

Maybe you cant see a difference between 30 and 60fps but most people can

  3. PC master race here , gaming is simply sub par on consoles , let alone the flexibility of steam and the modding which adds a complete new aspect to gaming , no way would i go back to consoles you will be disappointed

Money spent on a PC will be saved over time with games as they are often a lot cheaper

  4. Yes of course if the Pug had no brakes it would still have been the Morgans fault that's not in dispute at all but there is no doubt many many cars if not most could have easily slowed sufficiently in that time

  5. Morgan never seen or misjudged the speed of the pug IMO, however, the pug probably needs their brakes checked, because they didn't seem to scrub much speed off in the few seconds that he SHOULD have seen the Morgan pull out. I say should because he may not have been paying attention to the road either, or possible speeding.

IMO its all the Morgans fault, he was joining a carriageway and should not have done so until it was safe to do so. Even if the pug was speeding, that didn't cause the accident, the Morgan driving without due care and attention did.

Agree with all this , Morgan driver clearly a muppet and didnt see him or more likely misjudged the speed of the 206 but those Peugeot brakes do seem poor , even after the impact it takes a lot to stop it

  6. Cheers for the advice

It would more likely be a 4 point roll cage (so the hoop is behind the seats) rather than an out and out full cage IF I ever did go that route.

A friend was with her brother, driving their dads GT3RS which had a full cage, terrible weather conditions and a collision happened, he was in a coma for about 4 weeks as his head hit the bar by the windscreen ! :scare:

(I'm guessing he was using the normal seat belts)

I would either go with 4 point ASM, or 6 point, and obviously use the belt as normal (maybe with an extender so it fits properly).

I'll post up what Schroth advise as well.

I heard of a guy who had a full cage and harnesses in his Evo, got t boned at a junction at low speed but his head hit the roll cage causing catastrophic brain injury. If i had a roll cage I would wear a helmet , but roll cages and harnesses are generally a pain for road cars imo

I had a harness bar and harnesses in my Evo and they were a real nuisance on the road but agree with Ekona , have a bad enough accident to roll over and cant see you getting any more injured with harnesses than without (As long as they are fitted correctly, most arent! )

  7. Took a walk around Hiroshima last summer and there are lots of people with disabilities likely caused by birth defects following the bomb, I remember the fallout from Chernobyl in 1986 affecting farms in Wales , restrictions on the sheep farms lasted 26 years , any nuclear explosion will have an impact worldwide , they are no longer any use in reality

  8. If its on PCP does that mean you dont actually own it. Might want to check your insurance as they usually ask do you own the vehicle and most people just say yes.

There was an article in the MCN about this the other week so could be worth checking.

Most insurers ask if you are the registered keeper rather than owner nowadays and that's an important difference , certainly used to be the case many years ago that companies would add an extra fee to insure a car on pcp or pch but since the majority of new cars are financed its no longer the case

Worth getting GAP insurance if you already haven't looked into it .

I found ALA to be very competitive for me but its worth shopping around

  9. window reset . Battery has probably gone flat / been off

    1. Shut the car door.

    2. Raise the window to the fully closed position.

    3. Press the button to open the window completely and keep the button pressed down for a further 15 seconds.

    4. Raise the window to the fully closed position and keep the button pulled up for a further 15 seconds.

  10. Seen people lose a lot of horsepower on the dyno with open filters, you have to go a long way to improve the stock airbox on most cars.

Only ones that really make a difference are the type that place the filter outside of the engine bay and then the difference is still in single figures

    Cool video here

  11. Unlikely to suffer low oil problems but worth checking , I have heard that the flexplates on the autos can crack and can sound a little rattly and can come and go

Worth checking the cats as well as they ratlle when they start to go

  12. Hi guys, my oil has occassionally reached 120 degrees in my 09 370. I am soon to be doing a european rally in summer, would anyone recommend an oil cooler?

yep i'd be fitting one , most of the traders offer suitable ones , might be worth fitting a sandwich plate with sensor holes as well so you could monitor oil pressure as well to be safe
