You are fairly limited to what you can do re-corner weighting on a road car since you are limited to what you can move about but a good geometry set up makes the world of difference

the CTR. Once into 3rd gear and got traction it would sail past a 350 with ease.
I'd bet once passed 60 it would wipe the floor with it.and apart from anything else, it has all that fancy technology in it, and more power yet its only marginally quicker 0-60 than a 2003 DE!!
what the Zed or the CTR?
Absolutely the zed wouldn't see which way the CTR went , they are a match for a supercharged 370z as Nissanman312 found out in his old car , they are properly quick.
Comparing cars on 0-60 works well in Top Trumps but is not a useful guide in real world performance
Look at how it compared on the ring back in 2015, this new one is meant to be even quicker
7:50 2016 Honda Civic Type R
7:50 BMW M3 CSL
7:50 2009 Porsche 911 Carerra S
7:52 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4
7:54 Mercedes CLK DTM AMG
7:54 Nissan GT-R
7:54 997 Porsche 911 Turbo
7:54 (.36) Renault Megane RS 275
7:55 Caterham R500 Superlight
7:55 Ferrari F430 F1
7:56 C5 Corvette Z06
7:56 996 generation Porsche 911 Turbo
7:56 Porsche Panamera Turbo
And i would have every single one of the those below the Type R before the Type R and there area few Porsches in there and i really dont like them.
Thought the GTR was 7.24?
Its an article from 2015 remember,
I suspect there is ALWAYS shenanigans when it comes to ring times, but i have little doubt this new one will be significantly quicker

Cant think there will be a great deal of people with a genuine 400whp with superchargers on 350's
-
It does indeed , the pics coming out of Geneva look pretty awesome

My first post on here and it's xkr related.
Just sold a 2010 xkr 5.0l and bought a 370 and find myself chasing more power instantly, the Jag was awesome and the noise from the milteks, well you don't need to remove any sound deadening to hear it. Loving the Z but at 180bhp down on the xkr I'm tempted to get a supercharger kit for it.
Anyway my name's Phil and I'm a jagaholic.
I went from a Supercharged Zed to the XF-R and honestly the Z feels gutless compared to it as even supercharged the zed was 100ft lbs down on the Jag and thats what you feel

Petrol prices are on the rise , few people want big thirsty engines when fuel is expensive

My local dealer told me that the Nismo version of the pulsar was now not going ahead when I enquired. The Pulsar doesnt look that special in real life
Not crazy about the big plastic pieces on the rear but if it drives as well as is suggested its going to be a good seller , some nice features on the normal civic so seems well thought out
Brain fart was thinking about the Nismo Note

OP- There is a reason her first relationship/marriage failed remember , she now is 2 for 2 or more , some might say damaged goods , best off out of there
-
No thats not right, the wheel needs to come off and check the cancelling mechanism , its an easy job to strip that back

I have found the driving of people to and from the PHSS often leaves a lot to be desired
sounds like fun on track though , have always wanted to drive Silverstone

I'd be surprised if it couldnt be disabled somehow

Think I'm struggling with the Jag a bit... :-( It's beautiful, sounds good and goes like a rocket down the motorways, but I'm struggling to love it.
The right elbow rest is rock hard and actually hurts, the fuel tank is too small, the intermittent wipers are bonkers, the infotainment system is poor and, because it's so well insulated, it only really feels fast when you're well in to instant-ban territory.
I miss the sporty / interactive nature of Z driving; found myself looking at Caymans, 911s, 370s, etc earlier :-/ I can't believe I'm dissatisfied with such a lusted after car?!
I know what you mean about the infotainment its pretty dire although it sounds much much better than the 350/370, the 370 is much more XKR like than it is 350 like in my opinion , unless you got for the Nismo which is kinda getting there but pricey for what you get.
I'd suggest waiting until the weather improves some more , in sport with trac on they are a very different beast, you just cant drive it hard at the moment , whereas its easy to put 300hp down
How big is the tank then ? I get about the same range out of the XF (and mpg) as I did in the 370z

I wouldn't think anyone would buy one to try and intimidate other drivers , we bought our SUV (Land Rover) back in 1999 for the following reasons
1) Easy to put a baby/small child/dog into
2) Big boot
3) 4wd (We had been snowed into our village the year before)
4) On country roads the driving position means you can see over hedges and be seen
Number 4 is the same reason we are considering a Toyota C-HR at the moment
SUV's are very popular and not everyone who drives one is a **** , most of them would really suit being electric, the Mitsubishi PHEV has been a huge success

Didnt know the 370z had that feature?

The Lord's is nothing but cronism and an outdated 2nd teir council. Bin them and have an elected upper house put in place. How can democracy be claimed in a modern country when you have unelected ballons shouting down the elected government ?. After all most of them were 3rd rate civil servents who brown eyed the previous Prime Ministers and really have nothing to offer and no right to be shouting down an elected government. I sincerely hope that a general election comes along soon where a major player puts it into their election manifesto that they will reform the Lords and turn it to an elected house of representation for us minions and boot all these old codgers into touch.
Plenty of us dont get to vote on who represents us though so thats not really an argument , I mean did you get to vote for your first minister or the Prime minister ??

The coming tax changes are only applicable to brand new cars (AFAIK). So the DE to HR difference will be the same as it always has been. I think the HR is the same as the 370 which is a smidge under £500
No the HR is more than the 370z , its £515 for the HR and £500 for the 370z , the latter is 245g/km co2 and the HR is 280g/km co2

At the moment it's looking like DBA for the discs, unless anybody has a better suggestion for less money than the 4000 T3?
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
and there is the rub, DBA are good discs but around twice the price of EBC, for road use EBC are fine for track use you will need a more aggressive pad also so buy a disc/pad combo you can afford to replace on a regular basis

You can help the road noise if you fit a sheet of carpet underlay under the boot mat , also getting a quality mat rather than the thin factory one helps , finally a little sound deadening material in the spare wheel well helps as well
Mind you changing from Bridgestone potenzas to Goodyear Eagle F1's on my daily has made a big difference to the road noise something I didnt expect at all
