  1. Hot hatches have come a long way since the 350z was first released, we're starting to see a new generation of hyper hatches with 300+ bhp as standard.

    we've had 300bhp hot hatches since 2009.

We've had 250bhp+ coupes since the early 80s ;)

    corrected for you ;)

  2. I dont think there will be any walking, once rolling I have no issues keeping up with 350z's in my Octavia, I lose out off the line due to fwd, on the drag strip there is about 3/10th of a second between the Octavia and a 350z and thats a terminal of about 100mph so around a cars length so not a lot in it . The S1 has 4wd and is lighter so should get away cleaner , I certainly wouldnt put any money on either

  3. I have the same engine in my Octavia VRS so in a lighter chassis I expect it will be able to match the zed , wont be much in it either way

  4. You may find tinting the rear and sides gives the impression of a tinted scteen.

^yep . I never tint the fronts , the guy i use uses a dark tint on the rear window and a lighter one on the side which helps blend the windows better

  5. Yeah not inspiring to look at for sure but fun to drive

Amazingly just looked up my old one T101 FWL and its still on the road , although its covered just over 20,000 in the last 10 years so not used much

  6. We had a Primera GT , you could just spank it everywhere 6023.jpg

Only kept it a couple of years by the time it was 2 years old it has started to fall apart , surprised they are still about really

My mum had a Sri Almera , white , cracking car if a bit hearse looking

  7. If the fluid was that low wouldn't the level indicator light be on ?

I am new to the 350z but my earlier post was based on my Jaguar XK8 problem so may differ on these cars.

the lfuid level doesnt need to be low to cause this fault , a little below the max line can cause it

  8. My son has his own diagnostics/electronics business down South, they have been using these for around a year now, not the snapon one, this is another FLIR device, they use it for diagnostics on batteries, wiring, starter motors, etc as it picks up the hot spots immediately.

I forget the make they use, but he is a main supplier for them and all the garages are snapping them up, fantastic diagnostics tool.

Yea I was impressed by it, I've been using a laser pointed thing that gives you a reading but this seems a lot more detailed!

    What's your sons business called?

I used to use a laser thermometer on my bike to check the cylinders were even , a guess this would be a useful tool for some people

  9. Victor tankers were still going into the 90's unlike the Vulcans. In the 1980's Marham was where they sent the naughty boys in my trade :)

Did a 30-130 day at Marham with my Evo , good fun , absolutely maxxed it out on the runway , didnt know they did trackdays as well

  10. Sounds like a faulty TPMS sensor , if you set all the tp to 35psi it should go off once you get over 30mph , the tpms sensors on Nissans are coded to the car so the ECU knows which one it cant see , shocking really as its very easily sorted , glad you didnt pay for the new car prep as they clearly didnt do it . Check for the transit blocks on the suspension as well

    Enjoy your new car

Edit sorry as its a Nismo not sure what the pressures should be so check
