  1. well...that exhaust note only lasted for a few days and then the mid-box collapsed (or something we haven't quite confirmed yet). After another 600 miles we've established that the mid-box is definitely not right and Motordyne, much to their credit, are sending a warranty replacement at their cost. Sadly the noise is not nice as will become clear at the rolling road day next weekend!
  2. That's weird, mine didn't, and I got two keys and the original PS2! Didn't get the PS2 but I got three keys lol Was there anything special about the PS2 or was it just a bog-standard one? No, just a standard later slimline one. There was a disc in the PS2 so I guessed it would be GT4 but no, it was GTA San Andreas that the previous owner left in there!

  4. I refuse to vote until it says Ultra Yellow
  5. couldn't get my scraper out for my daily!
  6. I think this was friday morning, IIRC
  7. I didn't experience that when I had that setup on my RX-7, it worked well. I don't know if the 350Z has the masses of turn-in that the RX-7 has, so you may be right.
  8. You probably want to consider Federal RS-R (sp?), or at least rule them out. I'd have MPSS on the front and 888's on the rear. Good grip for rainy day steering and good grip for dry day powering out of corners, best of both worlds.
  9. Presumably your name given your numberplate! Headed off into Whitley this morning as I yarped away
  10. Received this kit yesterday or Friday. Had half an hour to myself to fit them today and managed all the interior and exterior ones by following the simple instructions and using the included tool except...I was defeated by the sidelights. The instructions say something about a bolt at 7 o'clock but by my reckoning that would be on the ground. I did find a screw at about 10 o'clock and undid it and peeled back the wheel arch liner down to the bottom of the (Nismo V1) bumper. However, this didn't afford me enough room to get my hand in AND turn the sidelight holder..I could only fit in one of my hands and only in one orientation, making applying torque to the holder almost impossible (I have big hands). Is there another way, or am I missing something? do I need a monkey-handed friend to help me? Still highly recommended!
  11. I would happily have paid you 10k for this car had mine sold...this is an absolute steal
  12. exhaust fitted but can't upload pictures on here, will do on other forum. I've recorded some pro audio of the stock exhaust and will record like for like on the new one for comparison. basically it's silent when you cruise and then goes nuts when you open up, but not loud if that makes sense. can't tell the whole story here
  13. omfg omfg it's insane...never had a smile on my face like that at 20mph first it's a bit like a horn and I'm thinking it's a bit rude but then you open a little more and it hits a second set of harmonics, and then you open full wot and it sings like a gang of bikes...then you lift off and it pops and bangs, but cruising it's...silent can't wait to drive home

  15. the following parts will be left over today: Motordyne number plate surrounds, Motordyne window stickers and the Motordyne "Beat the ticket" book (anyone got a friend in the US that might want it?). Clue: I recorded some audio this morning so that I can compare ;-) EDIT: just confirmed no increase in premium :-D
  16. not very exciting, but new number plates went on yesterday, did away with the plinth, although the front number plate points upwards slightly more than I'd like, and built a mount for my phone immediately in front of the sat nav screen using a brodit holder and ball joint...and finally, ripped off the sat nav remote holder so I don't hit my funny bone any more! Happy New Year All!
  17. bump...going to order next week so still time to piggy back on it, if anyone fancies it
  18. When stock of 888s went short (Time Attack had them, I think) I moved to Federal RS-R's but never got to push them to the limit, any opinions on here? I'm buying soon (regardless of the weather ) so interested in what works best on the Zed
  19. Well duh, no road tyres are any good on ice, so the 888s wouldn't be any different Well, duh, I'm pretty sure that -9 deg C would suggest the roads might be icy in your post, otherwise what's the point you're trying to make!? You can now use 888s between 7 deg C and 3 deg C, whoop-ti-doo
  20. It's certainly good news that they won't perish while sat on the drive, but I'm not going to venture out on an icy road with 888s any time soon. Wet roads is one thing with 888s (surprisingly good..even through standing water!) but greasy/icy/frosty, no thanks. Andy
