Mark,
I have a similar problem plus Karen's not that into cars then I have my lads arguing over the passenger seat but they have paper rounds so can't come either !!
Never mind, the drive always "seems" faster when I'm on my own. See you tomorrow, leaving at 07:00 but heading down A38.
-
Mark,
Yeah, short lived in the end but no time now to do anything else, are you flying solo tomorrow ? Be good to catch up!
-
You too mate.
-
Just kind of finished washing mine, a bit of a rush job as the heavens have just opened to finish the job for me !
See you in the morning
-
Humpy, I'm think more like barbie pink with matching tutu for Bob, people would pay good money to see that !!!
-
This would be tempting but sat nav says 5.5hrs and 340 miles each way.
I hope you manage to make this work, it will be a great day I'm sure.

Wendy,
An R8 for Scotland !!!! Just make sure I'm down as a named driver !
I am sure if you talk to insurers you can come to a suitable arangement, start looking on auto trader for similar age and mileage cars, that way if they do write it off you can make sure you get a fair payout and don't accept their first offer ( I argued for nearly two weeks to get my daughter a better "fair market value"), alternatively, you can use the info to help argue for a repair.
Good luck and enjoy your holiday.

How many guesses do we get for the wrap colour ??
-
370ad That was kind of my thoughts, cheaper is generally not better !
But it's always worth checking things out.
I also tend to agree ref oem discs, I'm not personally convinced by drilled discs but they do look nicer!
All I want is the car to stop when I want it to.
-
Wendy,
What can I say ?? I hope you are okay and don't feel too sore in the morning, as said, metal can be mended - that's what insurance is for!
Looks like the V W will become your Daily driver for a while !

I'm looking for new discs, deffinately rear but would prefer all round, seen the mtec listed but no idea if they are any good so before I shell out on stop tech or dba I thought I would ask if anyone has any knowledge of these.
-
Thanks for the feedback,
I'm going to order front and rears now, also got new goodridge brake lines from a group buy to go on so will see how it feels all done.

Now he says!
I've literally just had rear screen and roof done today!
Still want the rear lights tinting, the guy today said they were too difficult to do a good job !
-
Only problem with white is if you get much more snow you might lose the car !
Looks really good by the way !

Hi,
Adrian at Torquen has hawk ceramic pads listed for road car, I am thinking of fitting these to oem discs on my 370, anyone any experience of these for road use ? I like the idea of reduced / no dust but I'm concerned under normal driving there might not be enough feel through the pedal, not too concerned about a bit of squeal when cold ( but not too much noise )
Any thought / advice appreciated.

Katrina,
I'm sure Andy has enough love in his heart for you as well !!
At least you know where you stand in the pecking order !! (Only kidding, I'm sure he will have something special lined up for the three of you !!)
-
Andy,
The feeling must have be awful after all your work, glad the news in the end was positive, at least the running gear is straight now.
Keep going.

Lloydshaw,
Where did you get the kit and how easy was it to fit?
-
Most dash cams are only any good if powered up so don't work if parked !
-
Who sells these kits and how much are they now?
This could be a good mod after brake lines, badges and tinting the glass and before I do the arb's( I'm so glad I'm not going to mod this car !!!)
-
Andy, the before photo you put up just serves to show how good the repair is. Fantastic job!

Keep going bradders, this will be money well spent and at least others won't see you for dust now rather than won't see you due to your oil covering their screens !

Chris,
Sad news about your dad.
A real shame that work got in the way but glad everything is on track now, those ramps look epic, I guess you have no plans for your trannie to go on them cos it looks like there isn't enough head room!
You won't have time to let work get in the way anymore, everyone will be queuing up to have work done!

If the hirer is withholding information pertaining to a crime then he is perverting the course of justice!
If he wasn't driving he has a duty to state who had charge of the vehicle, if that person wasn't driving they too have a duty to provide info etc.
I agree the hirer cannot be charged with the actual offence because it cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt that individual committed the crime but they could and should be charged, as I said a while back, with perverting the course of justice. In any other serious offence someone refusing to provide relevant info would be charged otherwise why does such an offence exist?
A charge and conviction under these circumstances isn't charging / convicting an innocent person because they are being charged with an offence they have clearly committed.

Nic,
Sorry I didn't get to talk to you, great turnout and some really impressive cars
Mrs Niki, your ragtop looked so much nicer when you moved it outside!
Justin, have fun at the zedshed, remember what I said about Krispy Kreme donuts! Bob and Chris are great guys but they need their fuel!
