  1. Wendy,

An R8 for Scotland !!!! Just make sure I'm down as a named driver !

I am sure if you talk to insurers you can come to a suitable arangement, start looking on auto trader for similar age and mileage cars, that way if they do write it off you can make sure you get a fair payout and don't accept their first offer ( I argued for nearly two weeks to get my daughter a better "fair market value"), alternatively, you can use the info to help argue for a repair.

Good luck and enjoy your holiday.

  2. Wendy,

What can I say ?? I hope you are okay and don't feel too sore in the morning, as said, metal can be mended - that's what insurance is for!

Looks like the V W will become your Daily driver for a while !

  3. Hi,

Adrian at Torquen has hawk ceramic pads listed for road car, I am thinking of fitting these to oem discs on my 370, anyone any experience of these for road use ? I like the idea of reduced / no dust but I'm concerned under normal driving there might not be enough feel through the pedal, not too concerned about a bit of squeal when cold ( but not too much noise )

    Any thought / advice appreciated.

  4. Who sells these kits and how much are they now?

This could be a good mod after brake lines, badges and tinting the glass and before I do the arb's( I'm so glad I'm not going to mod this car !!!)

  5. Chris,

    Sad news about your dad.

A real shame that work got in the way but glad everything is on track now, those ramps look epic, I guess you have no plans for your trannie to go on them cos it looks like there isn't enough head room!

You won't have time to let work get in the way anymore, everyone will be queuing up to have work done!

  6. If the hirer is withholding information pertaining to a crime then he is perverting the course of justice!

If he wasn't driving he has a duty to state who had charge of the vehicle, if that person wasn't driving they too have a duty to provide info etc.

I agree the hirer cannot be charged with the actual offence because it cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt that individual committed the crime but they could and should be charged, as I said a while back, with perverting the course of justice. In any other serious offence someone refusing to provide relevant info would be charged otherwise why does such an offence exist?

A charge and conviction under these circumstances isn't charging / convicting an innocent person because they are being charged with an offence they have clearly committed.
