Had the sizzling breakfast yesterday in Newbury (same chain) got a burnt finger to prove the sizzling platter is somewhat hot!!!
Just had the geo redone after my springs were fitted then washed the car and right on cue it started to rain!
See you all in the morning.

Chris,
Is this a sign of true love or what !?!?!
Most of us would have taken that as the perfect excuse not to let the other half behind the wheel!!!8

The unfinishable sounds like a good challenge for you Ian, let me know how you get on!!
Hopefully my brakes should be sorted today, pins FINALLY arrived after nearly three weeks!
Trying to talk myself into this but over two hours each way to watch you eat an unfinishable breakfast and for me to bed in my new brakes seems daft, but then again i missed the photo shoot so ....

Nic,
Just caught up with this thread, never a good story to read but really glad you were able to walk away resonably unscathed.
Whatever you go for next i hope it brings you as much pleasure as modifying this has done.
Dont rush to buy a replacement, you could always hire something for June.
Keep us updated on whatever you do

I love your perseverance, most would have given up at the first hurdle. But then most of us don't have the skills to fabricate something from scratch without some form of template.
Keep up the good work and the posts.
Ifor you post up when you are taking this on the track, I for one would come along.

Congrats on selling this, when do we get to see what you are doing with your recent purchase?
By the way still not had chance to try out new springs, still waiting for brake pad retaining pins so I can get back on the road!
-
I have these on my 370, front and rear with hawk carbon pads, fitted last week, they look great, however, can't tell you how good as my car is still on a ramp awaiting new pins to hold the pads in place, what a waste of an Easter weekend !!!!
-
Looks good, sorry I missed you last weekend at the photo shoot, I should have got the Z shed to do my discs and pads !!! Still off the road awaiting pins.
P.s. plus one for the bruiser cruiser!
-
This build is looking really amazing, i bet you are itching to get back on the road!
Make sure it's properly run in before your trip to Scotland so you can have maximum fun without having to worry.

That blue suits the car, really impressive project, wish I had the skills to do something like this, can't wait to see it back from painting in whatever colour you decide!!
-
After such a big excursion there were bound to be a few little issues arise, you are on the home straight now and as with the six million doller man you are rebuilding her bigger, better, stronger, faster !! well hopefully faster at least!

Hope this all goes well, gutted to be missing this even though it was a mega drive from Derby but mine is still jacked up on a ramp with no brake pads, perhaps I should have asked the Z shed crew to do the work, it would have been worth the journey and a couple of boxes of Krispie kremes ha ha!!!

Ian,
I can't help but fingers crossed otherwise you will just have to make sure any photos are of the best side.
Things arn't looking good for me at the moment, off to garage now but car went in yesterday for new discs, pads and lowering springs. There is a problem with the brake pad fitting pins, they are all coroded and bent, spent last night pestering all the traders but no one has them.
-
Thanks Adrian,
I was hoping to get back on the road this weekend, I guess that won't happen!
Any thoughts who might have them on the shelf?
-
Can you pm me,I am desperate for brake hardware kits for my 370, you have them listed, do you actually have them and if so can I collect in the morning
-
Anyone know how to contact Adrian? Just been on his site and it looks like he has these listed, just pm'd him but not sure when he will read his pm, I will happily drive down in the morning if I can arrange things with him!
(Only 2.5 hrs each way!!)

Nissan want £120 per axle ! I think they have Dick Turpin working for them!
Chris @Tarmac suggested Ewan at Clark motorsport so pm'd him and waiting a reply.
Any other suggestions would be helpful, was going to Exeter for japfest photo shoot on Sunday, this looks very much in doubt now!
-
I'm having discs, pads and lowering springs fitted and the pins holding pads are all seized and damaged, anyone know where I might be able to get some? Pref Midlands, waiting on Tarmac to get back to me.
Any suggestions appreciated.
-
Hi Chris, yes please, can I pick up as I want them for first thing Friday , I live in Hilton so only up the road.

I've seen shorter queues on the M25 !!!
Your neighbours must absolutely love you, six months of building work followed by all those "quiet" cars turning up at the same time !

Bob, that really pulls everything together so well, as others have said, less is more on the interior, but it's not going to be so easy to keep changing your mind about some of the "extras" you are so fond of trying out.
This really puts the ginger ninja to bed.

Nic,
"Without video it never happened" ha ha!! (Someone had to say it!)
Nothing for it, you will have to book another track day.
Glad you enjoyed yourself
-
Badders,
If you tip your exhaust up you will probably still have 5lt of oil sloping around in there !!!!
This has been an epic rebuild, I bet the car will be transformed when you drive it next! Run it in properly and enjoy your Scotland trip, after this you deserve some fun.

Chris,
Thanks for the tein lowering springs, had them about three weeks but only just got car back on the road, had the geo redone today, looks great and initial impression is better handling but now really in need of spacers!
