  5. just curiosity? did any obd2/torque show anything?
  6. you need quite a bit of 'juice' to start a Z - depends what your trying to jump start it with only thing i've found to work was a 'power start ps700' - it puts out 700A min going up to 1600A most breakdown services carry them
  7. IIRC premium fuel contains 'cleaning' agents anyway
  8. blatted my orange stitching with black leather balm while going over the seats generally all black seats with no orange stitching much prefer
  9. was charged £100/day for a fiesta during my AM experience took 8 months and handing over ALL savings/accounts info to third party (by law) as they contested cost - around £2K iirc they settled in end but it was an experience would probably still use AM if i knew the car was potentiaily going to be written off for minor (but expensive) damage but next time round i would hire a replacement car myself and claim the cost back later
  10. Bored of the Z? No No I'm not

  13. what does 'Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound' mean when only the ignition is in the on position?
  14. cheers, its part of the 'throttle valve closed position learning' procedure following an ecu reset part of that procedure involves 'Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound' Not clear what this means
  15. what does 'Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound' mean?
  16. its not knackered leave it very loosely tightened overnight - allow everything to cool down next morning, loosen, then retighten
  17. i walked past a same colour Z in a car park and thought - how has my car moved?.... ...than saw it only had the rays fitted (yuk) GT4 owner
  18. been here, done that - share your pain - my exp (non Z) cost me £1200+ id pay up and take the pain - with noone to claim from its difficult - youll pay out one way or another shop around and get cheapest quote imo
  19. from experience of owning a rare, but uneconomical, car prior - i know which one i'll using
  20. The Insurer will decide whether it's a write-off. It's down to cost of repair v value. You can't decide that you want it repaired at any cost. Tim as i stated in the original post - you go through accident management companies - they WILL repair your Z at any cost if you let an insurance assessor near your Z they will most likely write it off and that marker will stay for the life of the car - so just go straight the AM company
  21. in my experience with no fault - go through a management company (+ inform your insurance what you've done with zero cost to them) if you want the Z repaired, no expense spared if you want the Z written off (highly likely given the current Z values) then claim through your insurance
  22. lol - chavtasic what was his response? He just looked at his mate and laughed, his mate didnt react lol. coz he was really crying inside but had to put a brave face on it for his 'mate' his mate reflected his real reaction LOL

  24. those kind just try and ignore you - then give a side glance over the car not had the really jealous ones yet BTW recently been asked if want to sell mine - couple of people interested apparently - no chance....
