  3. Be intrested to see if you got good gains on an SC'd Zed, in which case I may be intrested - the kinetix V1 was known for blowing the welds (here come the F and F quotes) on high boost FI Zeds.

The manifold im doing is for an N/A zed, FI is a different beast and would warrent a different design. If there was enough interest then i will come up with a design and will need a test car, but as the majority of us owners will be N/A il be sorting that out first.

I just begrudge paying nearly a grand for an intake when i know i can design and manufacture one for half that. And im surprised to hear that the kinetic ones fail on the welds, that sopunds bad quality and i can stress that anything i do would be fully purged when welding and id pressure test the manifold to assure quality.

    Hows the design coming along?

  4. The funny thing is alot of chinese arent actually chinese but vietnamese, fukinese etc lol just make sure they are from Hong kong or eat with caution! 5. Ahh birmingham area? if i drove down how long would it take to do all four discs... as there seems to be a >0.5mm lip on the outer lip on the rotor could this be a possibility of why my brakes squeak at low speeds and if so am i best holding off on installing new pads until the disc is skimmed? as im worried the lip will just ruin the new pads.

    Thanks

    Saskhi

  6. Thanks guys. Glad your pleased with my service. Enjoy that z.

    Hi there,

I was just wondering where are yous based? Im in scotland would you guys mobile fit to there? How long would the process take as if not i could probably drive down!

    Thanks

    Saskhi

  7. Yes you should have thr newer style pulley set up. Now I just use a rev up belt.

Thanks for the info! Also the smallest one is the idle pulley yes? Could i possibly leave out that pulley and leave it oem? As iv looked up a set of second hand ones but the idler might have been skimmed down therefore offsetting balance a little or would that be ok to put on?

  8. I had one issue with coil overs with a member, to be fair to AMS they said they would look at it but the customer was busy so didn't get chance to send them back to them to investigate the issue, we worked something out between us and if he needs anything I sort him out.

The Pulleys are great but there's not enough other products to make up a decent amount to ship.

There's a few brands like this that will be going I'm afraid.

I recently been looking at your website an it says 2-3 working days for ams pulley set, do you still sell them or not?

  9. I fitted the AMS pulleys to my car last week. Now I have an auto so it may differ from your car and installation was much harder than if you had a manual. grin.gif

The AMS kit comes with 3 pulleys. Crank, Alternator and Idler.

So after ages of fitting them finally put everything back together and started it up. No belt squeal which I had before for about 3-4seconds. Blipped the throttle nothing really changed. Everything was the exact same. Alternator was charging how it should have been as it is only lightweight and not under driven. 1a.gif

So got out of my drive way not expecting much but WOW! big difference! The throttle is so so so much lighter and responsive. Its like the engine just wants to rev now coolio.gif . The rev needle climbs very quickly now. Between 1-2krpm it takes away that sluggish and lethargic feeling. Now it feels perky and alive. It can catch you out if you aren't careful. Just driving normal there is still a difference less pedal pressure is needed to accelerate and it does it with less effort, making the car feel even more powerful and torquey.

Because the throttle is much more responsive it makes the car feel lighter. I know it inst but it feels more sprightly it takes away that slight delay before the car goes. You also have more control over the throttle now as it feels less "all or nothing". I find it more enjoyable driving day to day. I don't really think this mod has a downside really. Decats give you more power but usually higher up the rev range and a spacer gives you more mid range but honestly I feel like this has made the biggest difference. Usually to feel mods you need to really drive the car so on a b road blast you can feel this or tell its doing that but with the pulleys they just work and from low rpm which is great.

The old OEM stock pulley was very heavy compared to this one. Like 10-20 times the weight. The ALT pulley is tiny but the new pulley is slightly lighter. I also removed the top idler pulley as it does nothing and I run the same belt as a Rev up but my car is an 03. But with the kit you can change this to a lightweight pulley.

So basically I really rate this mod. It makes a big difference even going 60-70mph but not accelerating hard. Day to day driving is nicer and it makes the car more responsive. I havent drove a 350 with a throttle controller but I have other cars and it feels similar to them but this is a real gain. About the same cost too if I remember right. Doesnt really come with any downsides TBH. One thing is I dont think you seem to gain anything above 4-4.5krpm though.

Also "gain" is the wrong word as it cant really be measured on a dyno but the engine is spinning alot less weight and less drag and it feels great now. IMO I would put this next to plenum spacer. thumbs.gif

I have a revup does that mean the top idler pulley isnt on my engine?

  10. Guys,

Got AMS lightweight pulleys which I removed from the car when I did the SuperCharging, PM for details if you're interested. Originally bought from Tarmac. Did not have a chance to list them yet :)

    Thanks,

    Adrian

    Hey Adrian,

Do you still have those ams pulleys? or are they sold?

    Thanks

    Saskhi

  11. Lmao Why would you try sticking your head through a window?! Luckily it never worked or he could of went through n slit his throat open! Guy is nuts!

  12. Dan's Helpful Tip Of The Day:

Just don't drive like a knob in the wet in any vehicle, and you'll be fine. Cars are not inherently dangerous and, contrary to popular belief, will not try to kill you if you dare touch the throttle when cornering.

You have never been in a e30 325i sport or an amg.

Haha My friend let me try his e46 M3, with the M button pressed and even with traction control on it squirmed off the slipway onto motorway!Love the sound of them, the metallic noise coming through the exhaust is music to my ears! :teeth: Im startin to think how the hell to American muscle cars deal with cornering in the rain?!

Guess my S14 was possessed :'(

I had a Soarer Twinturbo that had no traction control...now it must of been related to your s14 cause that thing was the devil! Shakin that ass whenever it felt like it!

  14. An MREV2 lower plenum would be of interest to me depending on price

Me too! If we can grab more people wanting it would there be any chance of an even better price?

*Sorry just checked your site that is the better price... so is that 400pounds inc delivery? If so put me down for one!! :boxing:

  15. Lmao really?! Hong Kong for the past couple of years! Yeh tis good viewing :snack: it just shows you how easy to handle a 370z is..if a kid can jump in and hammer it around, so jealous got to hammer an R35 around too!? I should have been here during the competition im a Gran Turismo freak haha! I Would of been in there representing Scotland lol :#1:

  16. Pilot sport 2! got a full set last month and live in scotland! Have never had any problems with vdc on and beating it on countryroads! however i did turn it off to practise the other night to practise a 'kansai drift' 3rd gear just planted the foot and entering the highspeed corner....lord... felt like a god!!!! put vdc back on straight after cause to be honest felt like i crapped myself in midcorner i was thinking you idiot!? Then still rushing with adrenaline came to a rural roundabout vdc off, clutchkicked second gear felt back end drifting gave it more gas it came out further then vdc slip light flashed :scare: spun me right round and stopt dead wrong way round on roudabout! So this weekend its time to just put a switch on the yaw controller so i can fully have vdc off! :teeth:

Drive like you would normal vdc is normally pretty decent! Try and keep an eye on when the slip light comes on when driving in the wet and realise the cause of it ie too much throttle, steering angle and correct yourself accordingly! i do the opposite to find out how to lose traction and what corners are possible for a little drifto. But seriously get-Wet grip rating A tyre, practise drifting because it could actually save you oneday, also drive around more with vdc off learn the limits of your car, throttle control is key! B)

    Most of all ENJOY! :D
