  2. Sorry yes was adding a spacer, it was one of the bolts that bolt along the middle of the plenum the longer ones, i never opened up to check as i didnt want the rubber spacer to move out of place i just tightened the rest in hope that it didnt move out of place i also filled the missing screw hole with silicone type stuff. Hopefully this holds up untill my mrev2 arrives.

are these bolts the right size? or can anyone point me in the right direction..

  3. its one of the long bolts in the middle of plenum! it snapped half way down the thread, cant5 get picture as iv tightened it all up now, im not worried about getting the bolt out as mrev2 manifold is coming soon, but where will i get a new bolt from? Iv already done a lil test doww the bypass at 70mph and it seems fine.

  4. I was tightening plenum to 11nm and one of the bolt snapped :bang: what should i do? should i continue doing the rest? it snapped midway so the rubber spacer should still be in place..

also was i supposed to tighten the rubber spacer fully then place upper plenum on top and tighten or was i supposed to leave them loose so the two plenums join before tightening?

  5. Only managed to get half way on that video at work but almost had me in tears haha. Do we have a few Chinese on here then? Or just us 3!

  8. Get a cloth and wrap the bottom of the shaft and clamp it with molegrips.

Then use another cloth round the centre of the gear knob and use swan necks.

Then give a few grunts and it will loosen.

I always use this meathod on a 350 and got the info off the forum.

However if it is a 370 you could mash itnto bits.

Unlike the 350 which is a weighted heavy strong gear knob, the 370

    Is not.

At one of the Croydon meets I was changing over Sparkies for a Nismo one and it litterally

caved in as soon as appliedvgrip preasure with the swan necks.

    Locktight! more like wealded on!!

Haha ok plenty of advice here cant sleep thought of doing it now at 3am but people would probably think im trying to steal the car lol

  9. Its a small Laser 5-25Nm torque wrench I got off amazon and a big silverline one that goes to 250Nm.

I think the lowest torque required is around 5-6 Nm. Its a nissan manual I got off my350z or here somewhere.

Aww crap... i just ordered this one...

The lowest is 10Nm on that ratchet, but i was thinking the..

' *40 Inch-lbs in the numerical order shown on the following page. Then torque all the bolts to *80 Inch-lbs. Then re-torque bolts to *100 Inch-lbs '

Could i not skip out the 40 inch-lbs and just lightly hand tighten first then start at 80inch-lbs then retorque 100 inch-lbs?
