She has been in the wars.
There I was minding my own business, sat in traffic when the car infront of me
became too impatient and decided to turn around- in the pitch black the oncoming
car did not see this and drove straight into her forcing her across the road
into me.
So my drivers Rear quarter panel is crushed in damaging both adjoining panels.
It is driveable but as soon as you hit small bumps the bodywork is rubbing the
tyre.
I will take photo's in the morning. I feel a little sore, but think this is as I
braced myself as I saw it going to happen. Will see how I feel in the morning.
I was actually dreading Wasso driving by on his way home and seeing my poor girl.
Lets hope the Insurance transition all runs smoothly.

What an amazing job.
As said before looks like a different car.
Wish I had the patience and time.

What horrible news to receive today. RIP David Bowie
He was the music of my youth. So glad I got to the brilliant V & A Exhibition of his works last year.
A great loss. Just in shock and listening to the great artist all day.

Love it although,I would add a Living room and Dining room along the wall of Living Quarters, with a glass corrider so the garage could be viewed without the need to enter it. Plus a balcony around the room - assuming the garage is double height of course - so everything could be viewed from above too.

I think this is also an excellent idea, it really would mean masses to his family.
Hoping some people more local can make this.
How tragic - to lose someone so young, he seemed a nice fella too.

I have just come back from 10 days away and had to book Kimi into the Cat Hotel while I was gone.
While this was very plush and I took in his toys and mirror (Yes - mirror - he loves looking at himself (What a Boy ?? !!!! )
I felt awful about it and thought of him loads. I know right softy !
Anyway, unlike any other cat I have ever known, he was all over me when I got him home, so loving, so demanding attention and not at all cross. I can only think having been in a Rescue home for 4 months, then with me only for 3 months, he was afraid he was being abandoned. Poor love, he has also not been 100% since home, just 2 days, he seems to have got himself into a bit of a state (nerves - I reckon) and has a slightly upset tummy which I hope settles just as quickly.
Yes, I know - photo's are still needed of my handsome chap !!!

I too had not had the honour to meet Martin, so sad to hear this news none the less.
I agree we should still run the Lakes event in his honour.
RIP Martin.

Hey Dave,
Me and a few local zedders had chipped in to get a set of these each
http://www.ebay.co.u...0sAAOSwLVZV7V-s
We bought 10 for £100 so worked out a tenner each and we've used them on a number of drives out and also came in very handy on the Wales trip too. Ours came with the handsfree earpiece too so was easy to drive and talk at the same time. Great fun and came in very handy when the person in front was able to tell us when the roads were clear so we could overtake on blind corners as well without worry
Not that we did that of course !!!!!
Dave - It was one of these that I borrowed on the Wales weekend. I have to agree with Chirag they worked well.

I too had an Hillman Imp - cost me £300 though.
It was the Kermit Green colour !
Had to sell it when there was nothing left to skim off the ali head !!!!
Was done 3 times in my ownership !!
Brilliant first car, had a bit of poke and quite go karty.

Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions chaps.
-
I wish I had an Aston to put them on !!!!
My Corrado is good - but ...............
-
Umm you have given me an idea. I will look and see what they were when new.
You can't use the German style ones other than at Shows.
They do look the best though.
-
Guess I asked for that !!!
Anyway, it was the walls fault. !!
Last bump was about 12 years ago - in the Corrado about the same amount of time of ownership - one of those dammed posts that cannot be seen when reversing in. Amazing how a £120 repair for a tiny mark wakes up your senses for the actual size of your car. !!
-
DAve - I do only have two cars !!!!
While the Corrado is in the Bodyshop I can hardly be working on the 350 - unless of course you wish to loan me your 370 !!
I would look after it, drive it properly etc !!
Anyway, I did get the scruff on the lower rear ns wing - where the wall at the end of my drive decided to launch a foot forward at 6am a few weeks back !! Was not impressed !. Just now to get the bonnet resprayed - due to the lacquer peel.
Then a massive clean.
Talking of Scotland .........onto another thread.

Hi All,
My VW Corrado is finally painted !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is not on the road or anywhere near complete, I saw her yesterday, body painted before any of the finishing bodywork refit, touch ups etc etc - and she is looking really good. Orange peel seems about right although I have not been over her with a fine toothcombe - she was still in 'work in progress'. I am very pleased so far. In the right light the purply tinge comes through as it used to when I first got her - some 14 years ago, that brought a pretty good smile to my face. The colour is a Aqua Blue - easily mixed with Midnight Blue in the VW range. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished result and getting her back.
Yes, I know - photo's - one day I will get round to photo's !! I have had loads taken by the bodyshop as I also will be going for agreed valuation. She's on 207k, I am aiming for 300k before she needs a replacement engine. I stand a fair chance too - I serioulsy look after her, including giving her a good drive !! . She has never used oil and still doesn't, I do and have for 14 years given her 6k oil changes and always ensure of 80degrees as a minimum oil temeperature before 'a drive'.
Anyway - Number Plates.
The Bodyshop are suggesting new number plates always add hugely to the overal appearance.
I have a tendancy to agree - so wondered what the general view was on styling or not on number plates.
I personally would just wander off and get some new new very ordinary plates and wonder if I could be missing an opportunity for something a bit different. Perhaps some photo's or links if you don't mind. (Sorry but I hate bling on my cars, - I do quite like some on others though , something quite stylish/different is more my thing !!)
Oh and what about the Euro flag - yes/no/ is it an option even ?
Thanks in advance.

Ian (Wasso) yes this evening around 6.10pm on the A43 just as you approach the Motorway bridge going
into Banbury.
I have my Corrado back - she is nicely tucked up in the garage looking very pretty.
I got her back early January and would prefer to be leaving her in the garage so hopefully I will get a hire car.
