  1. Interesting how he only liked to steer with one hand Lovely sound though
  2. Well similar set ups on rx7's over here net about 50+ less hp than comparative usa ones, so, read into that what you will
  3. From my time with rx7's its well discussed that american dyno results are notorious for over reading.
  4. Seems like a lot of the guys in the usa go down the turbo route, i am pretty set on supercharged as i fancy a change from a turbo. Anyone know why they prefer them, or should i say, they seem more popular, bigger figures achievable etc?
  5. Sure i get that, but not the question i am asking or talking about. What value would be put a lower mileage.
  6. So guys & girls, i have been scouring high and low this week and not surprised to see prices literally differing by £3k pounds for same spec, same year/model cars. Obviously i have not viewed in the flesh so cannot speak for overall condition, but none have looked hanging (although photos can be deceiving) So with that in mind, let say take a 03 - 04 Average mileage to be 80 -100k or north of. I know mileage depends a lot on its usage, if its sat on a motorway for 50% or more of its miles i would prefer an average mileage than one thats done 50k to 60k life being used in town. So what kind of figure do you put on a lower mileage if you know its history, weekend/2nd car perhaps which has been well cared for. I will say from my readings, 100k miles is nothing for one of these engines if well maintained.
  7. I dont wont creamy, lol Looks like the dark grey is now heading the bill or something with a matt grey wrap if its cheap enough to start with But still, if anyones local with a white/cream one, i would love to see in the flesh as been mislead by photos before.
  8. Oh dear, think you may have just shattered my dreams
  9. Mmmmm, i like the concept of flat white, not sure i like the pearl concept, thats why i would like to see one in the flesh. In my newbie post in the welcome section i put up a photo of an Rx7 i had sprayed in Lamborghini Ballon white, it wasnt as nice in the flesh as i thought, £1800k later, lol
  10. Personally i think thats strong money for a Cat C
  11. Keep me posted, i might beat you to it Think i have seen the ice white one advertised, Cat C one, is that it?
  12. Is it the original white buddy, would you mind if i swung by once you have it
  13. Anyone in Dorset/Hampshire with a white one i could take a look at please, very curious about the colour (mainly the pearl aspect) to see what outside of the photos i have seen. Thansk

Great info, i have read the rev up's have stronger rods, or will this not really matter around the 400hp mark Im not sure about the rods etc, hopefully someone on here knows. I read on a yank website there was a guy running over 500hp with stock fueling and internals!! probably not running anymore though Rods are destroyed by torque, not HP OP, I know of a nice ginger one for sale that someone is selling cheap Would have to be cheap if it is ginger Pm me some details please. You can't recive PM's at the moment mate PM me your email addy if you like. I thought i could, i got one from a mod, maybe its because they are special jontywright@gmail.com Thanks

Thanks, good advice (i hope), really was wondering if i would miss the advantages of a rev up engine. No way do i plan on going more than 400hp, been down that road many times before and 400 is absolutely enough for the road and some track fun, anything more is overkill i think, fun, but overkill

Where did you get that info from? I can't see the rev-up weighing 90kg (~6%) more than the non? My350z website, that weight is over the entire car, not just the engine, sorry, badly worded on my behalf! Im pretty sure all the zeds weigh roughly the same, regardless of which year. The only ones which weigh a lot more are the roadsters. Apparently: Copied and pasted 03-05 Coupe: 3,188 lb (Base) 3,197 lb (Enth) 3,217 lb (Perf) 3,247 lb (Tour) 3,225 lb (Track) Roadster: 3,428 lb (Enth) 3,462 lb (Tour) Coupe: 3,339 lb (Base) 3,346 lb (Enth) 3,400 lb (Tour) 3,404 lb (Grand) TBD (NISMO) 06-07 Coupe: 3,339 lb (Base) 3,346 lb (Enth) 3,400 lb (Tour) 3,404 lb (Grand) TBD (NISMO) Roadster: 3,580 lb (Enth) 3,600 lb (Tour) 3,602 lb (Grand) Obviously from the US so they have different trim levels, but base to base or tour to tour etc, roughly 150+ lbs difference!

  21. Thoughts are with you and your family and hope for your brother to make a full a recovery as possible.
  22. All good replies. But more interested in the amount of this model that have come up in my searches.

Really not worried about Brembos etc, things like that can always be added if its a jdm etc I could not justify the cost of an hr to then fi it

Maybe a question that has been asked before but cant seem to find the answer. Looking my first zed, my budget will only go from standard to rev up, not hr. However, i plan to go fi at some point, so, will the rev up have any gains in the long run? Is it worth the extra weight associated with that model? Should i be concerned about the possibility of weaker rods with the non rev up? Oil consumption on the rev up? Is the six speed box better than 5. Views welcome
