  1. Hi,

If you need any help with insurance for any model you're looking at then please feel free to drop me a line. We have a number of classic cars schemes that cater for vehicles of all ages.

    Regards,

    Dan.

Would you insure an 03 Jdm zed as a classic?

Full Classic Car Insurance is based on more than just vehicle age. There are various other factors such as it being a second vehicle, garaged, limited mileage, social domestic and pleasure use only etc.

    Regards

    Dan

  2. So since my renewal is almost due I thought I'd give AF a chance to quote the Z. 😂😂😂😂

Over £300 dearer than A-plan. Won't be phoning them ever again. 🖕🖕🖕

Sorry we could not find a price that was suitable for you. If you wanted to PM me I'd be happy to look into this for you and see why we were so expensive.

    Regards

    Dan

  3. Changed insurance company this year as per normal story, insurance keeps going up and normally to lazy to bother to change insurance company. Well this time Chris Knott lost a loyal customer and Adrain Flux came in a lot cheaper with all mods covered so happy days, until next year when the premium keeps magically going up :p

Was a pleasure dealing with Liam in your team yesterday.

    Glad we could help!

I'll pass the feedback over to Liam.

    All the best

    Dan

  4. They stated it was because she hadn't got enough experience in modified cars. The Z is my first modified car too. She's had a Golf GTi but nothing else of that ilk.

Whilst a number of our schemes would require previous experience for performance RWD vehicles I'm surprised we could't offer any kind of premium with an alternative insurer.

I'd appreciate it if you PM me you details so I can double check it for you.

    Regards,

    Dan.

  5. Yeah most main stream insurers like Admiral are market value insurers only so regardless of what you value the vehicle at you will only receive market value for a payout.

You not tried going with a modified specialist? My track car is with Adrian Flux and its so cheap.

I've got an agreed value policy with Adrain Flux only cost me ~£50 to add the agreed value

Adrian Flux was my first port of call, they offered me a ridiculous £4000 WITH mods. No idea why it was so much more expensive. Third lot of insurance in 3 weeks unfortunately, said they'd cover mods and when it came to it weren't interested.

Admiral has been the most reasonable and as of last night, I have noted my Z is worth £10200. This dropped my car almost £490

    Hi.

I'm sorry we couldn't help out. If you wanted to PM me your details though I'd like to take a quick look at the quote to see why it's so expensive.

    Regards,

    Dan.

  6. Hi everyone,

If you've owned your car long enough, it becomes more than just a car, but rather an extension of the family, a faithful steed or an old friend. Here we look at motorists who have owned the same car for 30 / 40 / 50 years.

Do you have you own Forever Car?

    https://www.adrianfl...k/forever-cars/

Let us know what you think!

  7. Okay so im 41 i had about 15 years + no claims, i then went self employed and took out traders insurance, i didnt know at the time that if i didnt have a personal policy still running i would loose all my no claims ( arrrghh )

Now I have always been on the wifes insurance as a named driver, would that mean I do have my 15 + no claims still ?

Reason I'm asking as when I bought my 350z I thought I could insure it under a personal policy easy, but I was told by Adrian flux that they wouldn't even insure me and if they did it would be 4k + ! so I'm a little but peed off as I have insured cosworths and other high risk cars very cheaply.

So I rang my traders insurance and they put the 350 on that policy.

Just thought I would ask regarding being on the wifes insurance for her car.

    Thanks Alistair

    Hi,

I'm really surprised we couldn't offer you a quotation. We do also have schemes that would accept traders NCD. If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to look into this for you. Unfortunately being a named driver does not accrue NCD.

    Regards

    Dan

  9. Have to say they've given me fairly decent quotes, and I am currently with them. My only complaint is that I was once getting some paintwork done, and the bodyshop offered me a courtesy car for free. Adrian Flux were going to charge me some absolutely extortionate rate to insure the courtesy car as they said I was essentially taking out a temporary insurance policy. Absolutely crazy and put me off recommending to anyone else.

    Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you had with the courtesy vehicle. Normally I believe these vehicles are generally covered by the supplying garage. Was there any reason they wouldn't cover the vehicle for you?

    Regards,

    Dan.

  10. Got new quote through today.

These guy's really are no longer competitive.

    52 Reg Focus ST170 worth 500 quid

    5k miles a year

35 y/o driver with maximum NC bonus.

    No points on licence ever

    No convictions

    Last year - 700 quid

    This year 1341 quid

    Jokers.

Update: they've already taken a deposit of nearly 400 quid and want to charge me 100 quid to cancel.

    Not happy.

    Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've had with your renewal. Whilst insurance has generally increased substantially over the last 12 months I am surprised we were so much higher than last years premium. I'd appreciate it if you could PM your details so I can see why.

    Regards,

    Dan.

  11. Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you all know about a new product Adrian Flux Insurance is now offering – it’s called “Roadhaloâ€. It costs just £19.99 and provides expert legal assistance and advice in the event of you being prosecuted of a driving conviction. For lesser driving offences, the team of specialist solicitors will help you through the conviction process and advise you if there is a course available rather than points and fine. The legal team behind “Roadhalo†have a proven record of reducing the severity of your punishment if there are mitigating circumstances. You also get representation in court up to £25,000 in a worst case scenario. It covers you in any car you are driving and you can buy it on its own or as an extra to your motor insurance policy through Adrian Flux.

You may have read similar stories in the papers where celebrities and sportsmen were able to successfully contest certain motoring offences, this is no longer a service just for the rich and famous.

    Regards

    Dan

  12. The thing I think most of you have missed is my Disability, so as was mentioned quiet early on I think it was just the Mods that put up the price, this is the first year fitted and declared, my surprise was how much and the fact that several reputable ( is there such a thing ) Insurers refused to even quote with Mods Declared.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, Adrian Flux have been vey helpful so went with them ( first time ) of course come renewal I will do it all again as I never accept a renewal price.

    Hi,

Glad we could help out with your insurance.

    Regards,

    Dan.
