  1. Updated my S4 to 4.3 yesterday (I'm on Orange/EE) Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have fixed it , but I have not extensively tested it yet. Anyone else had any luck?
  2. Anyone updated from 4.2.2 to 4,3 on their S4 yet? Really hoping they have fixed this issue!
  3. Silver parking up at Coventry TGI Fridays (Wednesday 25th Sept). Black on A45 this morning. Lowered with black wheels - Looked great! Turned off for Kenilworth Road I think? Gave you a little thumbs up as I passed Keep spotting fellow Zeds around Cov. But always forget to post!
  4. Great feedback guys. Sounds like a good starting point, getting the HU and speakers. I'll look at replacing the front and rears, but keep the current sub. Don't think I could change that without changing the amp too... Once that's set up however, how would I go about wiring in a new amp? Would it mean changing all the wiring and adapters I will be putting in at the first stage? Or is it far more simple than that?
  5. Hi guys. Been thinking about upgrading my stereo for a while, and have been reading up loads on the forum. I told myself there was no real need, but since my new Samsung Galaxy S4 will not stay paired with the Bluetooth (I have Bose with Bluetooth), I'm taking it as a sign and investigating what I can do to change my setup. If anyone can get their S4 paired successfully by the way, let me know! Looked at some head units. I can get a staff discount through a friend at Halfords, and was looking at the Pioneer AVH-X2500BT or the AVH-X5500BT. I've never wired in a head unit before so a pretty new to all of this, so please be kind if I ask silly questions I'm not sure how far I delve into changing things. I think I have a few options: New HU + stock Bose amps / Bose speakers - Good starting point. But will I be disappointed with the sound? (Bose system does little to impress at the moment). Does using the Bose amp bypass the inbuilt HU amps? New HU + stock Bose amps but with new speakers - Just new front speakers? Or all round? Plus a new sub maybe? Can people recommend me some please, and where to buy from. I know I'd need 6.5"/17cm, but know not all will fit. New HU, amps and speakers (the lot). - Have a feeling this might be way too expensive. But trying to establish the 'best bang for my buck'. Possible option of just running front speakers and a sub to cut costs? Would this route mean wiring in a whole system, separate to the stock wiring/system? It would be nice to be able to revert back to stock when I come to sell on the car too. How feasible is that? Not after silly bass or huge power. Just a clean sound with good depth. Quality over quantity. Whilst keeping costs reasonable. Any recommendations, suggestions, comments, etc. Welcome
  6. Put a little timelapse video together of all that my camera recorded. Footage starts at Tamworth, and my memory card was full by our first (unplanned) stop. Thought it would be a bit more interesting than uploading a hours worth of footage! Watch on YouTube at 1080p for best results
  7. Great day guys. Me and my sister had a blast! Lovely to meet you all Here's some of the photos we took - Enjoy!
  8. Surprised these havn't gone already. Got a pair for mine, had to import them from America, who had themselves imported them from Japan But they do look so good! Been tempted to mod them to daytime running lights... but even at £60, it's a lot of money if I messed up or if they looked rubbish!
  9. Thanks, but don't worry about it. I was just wondering if it was a standard loom anyone could easily plug the module into.
  10. Does anyone know how difficult is it to remove/fit the entire bluetooth module? Is the loom there just to plug it in, and off you go?
  11. Probably just uploaded the wrong photo guys
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271193468424 Replaced my front reflectors with clear ones, so I'm selling the originals on eBay. Not long left on the auction now, and they're currently selling for 99p. Cheap if anyone needs a set!
  13. Wow, that's really shoddy service. Thank's for the advice chaps Anyone had experience of the Nissan dealership in Coventry? If I wanted to keep my full Nissan service history.
  14. According to the sticky, servicing should be as follows: P1, P2, P1, P3, repeated. With my new '08 Zed's service coming up soon, I checked out it's service records. It has been serviced every year by a Nissan dealer, but the services so far have been: P1, P2, P3, P1. So it had it's P3 service a year before needed. But I don't know why an official Nissan dealership has missed out a P1 service and jumped straight to a P3... unless they were just trying to squeeze more money out of the last owner! What service would need to follow now. A P2 to follow the intended pattern? This is all quite confusing!
  15. Mine needed a code last week after i disconnected the head unit to do the "iPod hack" I called my local Nissan dealer and he was able to give me the correct pin, and didn't charge anything. You will need the make and model of your stereo and some the serial number on it, plus your VIN number. The only way to get the numbers on your stereo is by removing it though
  16. £155!? I was right, it DID go for silly money
  17. It fits to the boot lid, at the very bottom of the glass. When the boot is shut, it stops anyone from seeing things in the boot from the strut brace rearwards
  18. I bet it will go for silly money though
  19. Actually, sorry Steve, I just went on ebay and picked some up for £45 delivered, from the US. I couldn't say no at that price! They were around £35, but seller was asking for around +£25 delivery. I contacted them and asked if they could do postage cheaper... They came back with an £8 option! Goes to show, you don't ask you don't get I also contacted another seller with these for sale: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230907137957 Although he said he wouldnt lower the price of postage. There is no additional charge for buying more than one. So if any traders wanted to stock up on a few, it might be worth it? He currently has 5 in stock. Sorry for hijacking this thread lads!!
  20. Thanks Steve! Although they are a little pricey, I might have to hold off till my next payday
