stuck a rubber washer in for now and it works - cant let boot free fall shut now as it bounces so need to keep hand on it when closing but it opens one hand so thats better

anyone at Japfest able to help me with this or at least have a look at the boot - would be much appreciated

not working again

right moved the main plate down slightly and its jsut working - the boot wont shut on its own weight now though it bounces - so have to keep hand on it to shut it properly - but at least it opens with one hand which is great news not sure it will work every time - btw amstrange did you see how much those nipple are - £170 quid or something - thats a lot of money i thought the springs were expensive

lol lovie - so true, and i prefer the gun metal wheel colour to black, if i was in my 20's i would go for the black wheel look but as an old fart i feel the gun metal is a little more sophisticated

Hi all as post says - i have a gun metal 350z and have tinted the back and side windows, i'm now toying with a black roof and spraying the wheels gun metal - also adding spacers, has anybody done anything similar and if so can you post up a pic - many thanks

let me know if latch moing works and how easy it is to do - almost optamistic again

zmanalex advised me to look at the latch - its got lazy but i really can't be assed to take anything else apart for now - so given up, will see if anyone can give me some advise at Japfest

sigh new springs arrived put in car and they didn't make a scrap of difference - that's weight removed strutts and spring replaced now - complete and utter waste of money, very pi**ed off with the design of this boot

just purchase new spring of Alex, so will let you know james

ok changed strutts sgs one's and it stays open, but still wont clear so need two hands to get it started, so tried two rubber washers each side in springs and 2 pennies, works for a bit but gets worse over time - i think the rubber washers get compressed and don't want to take them out as painwork gets damaged with just pennies, so have just taken the weight out and still need to press twice and it's 50/50 if it clears enough to open or not so can lift with one hand, so what's left - new springs ?
