  1. Hadn't even thought of Infiniti Chris, thats where I got it serviced. Will take it there. Will get the tyres fitted at Strangs, cheers George.
  2. Anyone recommend somewhere to get the car MOT'd and get a new set of rears fitted. Called up the garage I was recommended but he said its tricky fitting the tyres and not really worth the risk for the £15 a corner charge.

    Brake Pads

Mine has 30700 on it so would imagine its got similar wear. I'm not sure i'd trust myself to change some brake pads although would imagine it must be one of the easiest mechanical jobs going. I did manage to plumb in a reverse camera!

    Brake Pads

Current brakes work perfectly for me, pads might not actually need replaced, had left the locking wheel nut remover in the house at the last service so they weren't checked (that was 4k ago) so thinking they could possibly need changed) and with it going in for an MOT next week I wanted to be ahead of the game and not end up with some overpriced tat on there from the garage.

    Brake Pads

Car is due an MOT in the next couple of weeks, I know it needs new tyres so have ordered these up but suspect it might be in need of new pads also. It doesn't get driven hard and is unmodified, any advice on decent pads to go for? Sy
  6. Would possibly have been me!
  7. If a jobs worth doing its worth doing right as the old saying goes! I usually use Iron-X to get the disks shiny if i'm not going to be driving the car but it takes a lot of product, only had half a bottle left and used it all on the bodywork, and as you said Ebized they clean themselves with some good braking lol! Went out to mine this morning and it had a coating of black dust circles on it, got a quick foam, wash, dry, hoover and spray with QD. Grey skies once again hide the shine!
  8. Was grey skies so not much reflection unfortunately. Process was 1. Snowfoam with ValetPro pH Neutral. 2. Two bucket wash with Dodo Juice Born to Be Mild (Twice) 3. Wheels cleaned with Wonder Wheels. 4. Iron-X on all bodywork and Wheels. 5. Clayed all the bodywork, windows and splitters with Dodo Juice Clay and Born Slippy Lube. 6. Final wash with Born to be Mild and Towel Dried. 7. Polished using AutoGlym Super Resin. 8. Waxed using Poorboys Nattys Blue. (2 coats on Bumper and Bonnet) 9. Front and Rear Windscreens treated with RainX 10. Wheels sealed with Poorboys Wheel Sealant. 11. Tyres treated with Megs Endurance. 12. Exhausts cleaned with Iron-X and polished with AutoSol. 13. All interior trim treated with Poorboys Trim Restorer. (Dash, Console, Boot, Doors, Pillars, Behind Seats) 14. Hoovered Interior. 15. Shampoo'd Mats and seats.
  9. Thanks again for your kind words George. Was a pleasure working on your car and glad you are pleased with the result. It's what having a community on a forum is all about! My favourite picture is this one, shows Iron-X is worth the outlay!
  10. Haha!!! One of my pals is a manager in Greggs and she was telling me about how they do point of sale of things like - Donuts 60p or 4 for £2.40, said they sales trippled just because people are conditioned to assume a multi buy is a saving!! Should have read 3 for 2!
  11. Aye its £45 a tub (with cloth and sponge) but they're doing 3 for 3 just now so takes it down to £30 essentially. I've got Natty's Blue just now but I find it a pain to apply.
  12. Anybody used this? Got some halfords vouchers and could do with some wax.
  13. I would use a garden hose, a sponge and clear water to get the dirt off. After that u can dry it with a shammy leather.....................i do roundabout 15 washings like that when my Z is waxed...................no probs at all I think shammy (chamois) is a swear word around here! Using a sponge on bodywork wish equally as frowned upon. Not sure if it's a wind-up post or not :/ Good ph neutral Shampoo which won't affect the wax, towel dry, quick detailer with some clean microfibres. Thats only my experience,............washing vehicles since 1983 To be fair the pictures of your car look amazing!
  14. Been putting off a proper detail for a while now, get bored after doing the wash, wheels and interior and just dry and QD. Today the sun was out and I had some new podcasts to listen to so got stuck in. Rinsed with the jetwash. Snow foam with Valet Pro pH neutral. Washed with Dodo Juice born to be mild. Wheels cleaned with wonder wheels. Iron X on wheels. Iron X on body panels. Bodywork, windows and wheels Clayed with dodo juice born slippy and 3M clay. Autoglym tar remover used on a couple of panels and wheels. Washed again with dodo juice born to be mild. Towel dried. Wheels sealed with poorboys wheel sealant. Tyres dressed with meguiars. Polished with autoglym high gloss polish. Waxed with poorboys nattys blue. Windows treated with rain x. Exterior trim (mirrors, scuttle, wipers, mud guards, front splitter) treated with Gtechniq C4. Interior trim treated with poorboys trim restorer. Alcantara cleaned with warm water. Leather cleaned with Dr Leather Wipes. Hoovered throughout. image upload no ads

  16. Me too. I'll do the left side, Chris you can do the right and The G Man can decide who the best is? lol
  17. What's your guys thoughts on the best product to clean the alcantara seats and doors? Also, i'm sure its been discussed a million times but whats the thoughts on the best leather cleaning/treatment?
  18. Watched a few of the videos linked to that one and came across this Can't wait to get my zed booked in with him. The combination of the industrial rotary sander and what looks like Marie-Rose Dressing from a Greasy Spoon Ketchup bottle must give an outstanding finish!
  19. I had the V6 DSG TT, loved the box in that. In fact it was probably the best car i've had.
  20. I wanted an auto but the right car came up an had a manual box, glad I went manual. A decent exhaust and a downshift from 4th to 2nd at at roundabout will never fail to to put a smile on my face!
