  1. Different shape to fit around the bumper sadly Thanks anyway!
  2. Also, can someone tell me what size front plate I need to order for the shortened US mount? Is it 9x3inches?
  3. Is the plate holder square then or a regular short one to suit rectangular plates? Are you looking to sell it?
  4. Hi Alex! I know this was ages ago but don't suppose you have another in stock? I don't think that I have any left in stock Josh, however I will have a look next time I am over at the shop and drop you a PM if I have one. Lovely, cheers Alex!
  5. Hi Alex! I know this was ages ago but don't suppose you have another in stock?
  6. Cheers both, think I may stick to standard on the rear then. Would like to get it as small as possible on front though. Dave, to save me taking my front mount off just yet, were the holes on the front bumper or are they in the grill just below? Wondering if you've just cleaned the mess off the bumper and covered holes on the grill with the front plate?
  7. Cheers both! Will speak to the companies mentioned! Dave, do you have pictures of the car with the plates on, particularly interested in seeing the rear plates shortened? Does your plate cover the holes on the front?
  8. Just bought a new registration and looking to order some shorter plates to suit the prefix style of registration (J70 SXH). A few questions; 1) Assume I need to replace the front number plate mount, are these easily available? 2) Will a shorted plate expose any holes on the rear? (I assume there are factory fitted holes even though my plates are currently stuck on?) 3) What is the smallest size plates I can legally put on for the prefix reg with minimal spacing around borders? Ideally I'd like to have very little spacing between the 3rd and 4th digits. Even if it's not legal would just a minimal space attract much attention form police? 4) Can anyone recommend somewhere to order them from, if possible somewhere that supplies shortened 3D gel or even metal one's if they exist? And finally, does anyone have any pictures of a 370 with shortened plates? I have a felling it may look odd on the rear? Cheers
  9. Okay, thanks for clarification. That does confirm I was initially right in thinking that prices are all listed in pence as they are currently listed as 108.0400 on Tradibg 212. What I can't work out though is how the 1000 (practice) shares I bought in VW at 97p made me around £8000 profit when they only rises to 108p?
  10. Does anyone dabble in shares? I've always had shares for the company I work for so done a lot of buying and selling but only ever in the one company via share plans. I downloaded the Trading 212 app and have used the practice account but the one thing confusing me at the moment is what are the values of the prices listed? I always assumed they would all be listed in pence, i.e. 300.00 being £3 (as UK markets are) but having bought some dummy shares in VW on the practice account I'm not so sure. Would these be listed in pounds i.e 300.00 be £300? Anyone able to explain this better to a dummy like me? Cheers
  11. Cheers all. Spoken to both local dealers who said that a M1(P1) will be fine this time round as the last was a P2 and the one before was a P3. Seems to be following an annual schedule rather than a mileage one hence the service coming at an odd mileage figure. Quote for the P1 was £190 for each but when I asked to supply my own oil (as I already have 5L of it in the flat) Griffin Mill in Ponty knocked £30 off and Wessex in Cardiff knocked £52 off, so will go with them. She did say that spark plugs are recommended at 5 years but wanted to charge a fortune for them so think I'll get those done by my mates garage but take it to Nissan for the service to keep the stamps in the book. Can anyone recommend which spark plugs to get for the 370 and where to get them?
  12. Yeah I think the spark plugs are due, not because of the mileage but because of the age I think (5 years). Any recommendations for the best place to pick these up myself? I guessed they stamped it as M2 instead of P2 for some reason. The previous stamp says M3. So so far it has had M1, M2, M3, M2. Doesn't seem to be following the usual schedule to me hence why I can't work out what is needed now.
  13. No, this is a different idea to provide more 'treat/luxury' meals and recipes with a monthly subscription service as opposed to just supplying big one off orders.
  14. Firstly, I suddenly realised today that I think my 370 is overdue a service. The oil was changed when I bought it from BMW about 4000 miles ago so no issues hopefully but still want to keep up with the service schedule. Last service in the book was an 'M2' service just before 31k miles, I'm now on 40k miles, anyone have any idea which service is required here? Second question, a message came up on the trip yesterday saying 'Service - Other'. Looked at the alert and it just said 3500/3500. I'm assuming this is something set up to alert me every 3500 miles but what for? Cheers Josh
  15. Cheers bud! I was actually thinking that I could include recommended wines and beers to partner with each recipe or another route to take if the initial idea was a success would be to actually supply (probably room for some sort of sponsorship with the drink company there). The more I research this I think it's definitely a business that would appeal to the food connoisseur willing to spend a little extra money/time as opposed to your regular family consuming larger amounts of meat on a daily basis. So maybe nice/exclusive wines would be a viable idea to partner with it
  16. Cheers for the input guys! Got a good amount of responses already from this site and others! I appreciate there are similar services available already and I've even used muscle foods myself before and I'm not a typical gym addict so take your point there. I guess what I didn't allude to originally on the survey (but have edited it now) is that the meats, flavours, seasoning and recipes etc would be designed by various gourmet meat experts. Been in touch with a few locally and would hopefully set it apart from just your standard meat packaged up and delivered to the door. It may not necessarily be a money saver but like with most food subscription deals it's more the luxury/surprise element that attracts people. A way to try new foods and flavours each month I guess. Take 'Graze' for example, you could probably buy the individual snacks they send you a lot cheaper in the Supermarket but it's the novelty of it I guess. Anyway, will give the survey some time to populate results and asses if it's worth taking it further with a proper business plan
  17. Cheers again for the advice both, think I'll add the fallout remover and panel wipe steps into my routine the, want to make sure I get the prep right! Also meant to ask, can the regular sealants such as FK100p or Poorboys EX-P be used on wheels or do I need one specifically designed for wheels?
  18. Hi all, I've come up with a market research survey related to a potential business idea I've had which is in the earliest possible stages, so just trying to gauge if it's something that may be worth taking further. It's just 9 very quick, multiple choice questions to complete if you a few seconds spare. Would be greatly appreciated if you could https://joshc3.typeform.com/to/nqRUkS Thanks, Josh
  19. So you mean that FK1000p would replace the Natty's paste rather than use it in addition to it? My whole planned process for bodywork, which I have picked up from watching countless videos was; Wash/snow foam Decontaminate with clay Second Wash DA with compound DA with polish Apply sealant Apply wax Most videos I've seen have applied a liquid sealant then a paste wax. Would you not follow the same process with a paste sealant or are they in fact the same thing as a paste wax. Apologies for any confusion or stupid questions
  20. Cheers for the advice guys. Just to be clear, FK1000P is a sealant but has the texture of a carnuba wax or similar? And can it be applied underneath a regular carnuba wax as I was planning to Natty's Paste Wax over any sealant I apply? Also, seeing as you've convinced me to stick to applying it by hand, are there any applicator pads you'd recommend using? I assume a foam one rather than a microfiber? Wish I'd planned this all a lot sooner as I've been out in the US twice this summer and actually followed Larry from AMMO for a while on YouTube but never really looked at his products
  21. It's a Carbon Signal item, much cleaner fit than a rocket bunny one, where it joins the boot panel it flows better and doesn't have the visible holes.
  22. From watching countless videos on YouTube I just gathered that using a DA on a slow speed & fine finishing pad would give better more even coverage, waste less product and of course save time. Is this not the case in your opinion? Are there any reasons not to apply it by machine? Either way I was looking at JetSeal 109 from CG or something in a similar price range and ease of use. And I gather that this can be used on windows and headlights as well as paint? Will also probably top it off with my usual wax that I use (Natty's paste wax). Cheers
  23. I've picked up a DAS6 Pro+ with some Megs 105 & 205 and he logic pads, along worth a load of other new supplies for prep and wash. Just looking for a recommended sealant now that preferably can be applied with the DA?
