I done mine with exactly the same setup you're thinking of doing mate. Free's up the revs considerably and like Snjur said, you get some chatter at idle but it's well worth it.

the ones from America don't require the drilling of the boot lid, you just use 3M tape.

fitted these little vinyl bits yesterday just to break up the grey. I know it's not to everyone's taste but I think they look great.
