  1. After getting used to the gearbox, which feels a tad sloppy compared to previous box's in my Honda's, it's great. Not having to redline the engine to get a perfect shift or stay in the power band is also strange. That said the usable, accessible power is great. Also I find the car very stiff and responsive at medium speeds, which is great and gives confidence when pressing on. The grip is good too, turns in well, without any hint of understeer, with a progressive, hint of oversteer when you get on the power. The cabin is bright and spacious, with lots of comforts. Too many buttons in the steering wheel for my liking though, I'll be honest. The synchro rev match gearbox makes me lazy but gets it perfect every time. I can imagine its great on infield tracks mind you. Seats are good, offer good support for OEM seats. I may look at some Brides though. Tyres are loud, but give good grip, REO50's. Brake pedal could do with firming up a rad too, hopefully some lines and fluid will help sure that up a bit. So far, very very pleased with it .
  2. They filmed this, or part of this where I work, the Treasury In Westminster London. Got to see loads of cool cars and the Garage D 370Z on it's side, lol. I got loads of pics, but these will be enough.
  3. Does the hard drive only come on the Premium Connect 2 pack ??
  4. I bought the car from someone that was due to trade it back to Nissan, as you can imagine the trade in price was low, I gave him a bit more than trade and I got a car a bit cheaper than market value. Good deal for both involved. 21334 thousand miles. Just had its P3 service a week before. Wonderful car by all accounts.
  5. Mark - Many thanks. I've been nudged in Abbey Motorsports general direction a few times, by friends and others in the industry. I've got a few questions about my 370 that I believe you will be able to help with. I'll make time to contact you properly and come down for a chat.
  6. Good info. I'll more than likely look at swapping out my oil to something more tolerant to higher temps and look at getting a cooler fitted. Peace of mind and better control over what's going on is a comfort I'd like to have.
  7. Errr, ok, lol. I'll go take a look on google, I did a search but didn't find what I was after.
  8. Rota Grid's will always look fantastic on any car, unless you want the real thing (RAYS TE's), but £6000 on wheels is a bit much IMO. Also, I've never really been a fan of lipped wheels, they tend to give the appearance of the wheels being smaller and give them less of a presence in the arches.
  9. Alright Alex great. Why don't you post the info here, it's better for all and the forum that way. What oil cooler did you fit and what sort if efficiencies are you seeing ?? Out if interest also what black blood are you running for track use, as I said, I've currently got the Motorline OEM stuff in, 5-30 IIRC, could be different though.
  10. Alright, fantastic, cheers guys. I'll be staying NA, if I want boosted, I'll get a boosted motor. I'm going to Spa and the Ring again in a few weeks, I'll keep my eye on the temps and see what's what, only normally do 4/5 laps at a time at Spa anyway before coming in for a rest, the Ring is the Ring.
  11. Well this is it, I don't know, that's why I'm asking. Anything up too 110c I'd be comfortable with I suppose, but not pressing on after that. Unless told otherwise by other's who have experience. I've only just got the car, 5 days ago, so I'm trying to ascertain what people are running to and what is considered, normal, or safe. Oil wise I'm currently on the OEM stuff filled by Motorline Nissan on the P3 service, which was done a week before I collected the car, so I didn't have much choice. Curious to what others are running.
  12. Anthracite all day. I agree, black wheels on a black car look too bland. I used a BMW colour on my old track S2000 wheels, came up a million times better than I ever thought they would.
  13. Yeah, this is what I'm worried/concerned about. What cooler are you running ??
  14. Similar to that to be fair, but as soon as I saw it hit or get close to 100, I backed off. It seemed to rise quick after not much of a press on, it seems normal so I'm not concerned about the general running of the motor to be honest, but after 4 laps of Spa, I'd expect it to be a lot hotter. Have you ever heard of oil cooling issues before ?? Is a oil cooler a waste of time ??
  15. So, the engine oil tends to get warm quick and stay hot in the 370Z I've noticed. And that's just spirited road driving. Does/has anyone fitted an oil cooler to improve the cooling or have any suggestions about this ?? I'll be tracking the car regularly you see and this is something that has caught my eye.
  16. TGM ?? Yeah, call them if you like, it's nothing serious honest, Stu works there for Tom . I just called Stu to check what it was all about he said he just drove it to teh station, don't worry he's not been drifting it, lol !!
  17. He's alright, he's my mate, he's another Honda nut too. Drives a tunned DC5 (Integra Type R). I clocked the Stillen tips, then the colour, then the plate.
  18. No no, nothing to be worried about. I'll post the pic in question if you like, it might help you place him ?
  19. Excellent, cheers. I have a photo of your car on my phone, a friend sent me it saying that he'd recently had a blast in such car and it was great. I was just looking at your car and recognised the plate. Very odd .
  20. I just switched from EP3 - S2000 - 370Z http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71418-from-honda-to-nissan-with-love-370z/ The only thing I miss from the Honda's is the redline and the gearbox. Mainly the gearbox. The rest just feels more grown up.
  21. Will370Z - Car looks great after a clean fella, good work . Two things, what exhaust is that you have on there ?? Finally, does the name Stuart Dott mean anything to you ??
  22. Ha, very good. Put some on the skirts and lower arches, the raods on the way to Le Mans are terrible, stones all over the place.
