Hi all,
Following the loss of our previous Zed and the acquisition of the new one we have a load of bits going spare which could do with a home where they will get some use .
Everything can be collected from Bedford or Leicester.
2) Genuine vertical Tonneau £90 collected:
Comes with seen fittings, one of the black hand knobs must have been broken as is missing and the top fixings were attached with cable ties! - not sure if that's right or not but it seemed to work fine. These usually sell for >£100 so hence £90 as its obviously not 100%, the divider itself is in good condition.
6) Standard aerial £10 collected:
Thanks for looking, open to sensible offers delivery will be extra.

5) Bluetooth module: - sold to camplpa1

Nice one Ed, i'm made up for you both, you've got yourselves a rocking colour too, it amazes me how mine can look almost black one day and a deep rich bluey / turqouise the next.
Are you noticing much difference between the DE and HR?
Yeah the colours great, will look even better once I get it polished up I think.
Yes the HR is definitely a step up in terms of power, noticeably quicker with the longer gears, also a little better put together and easier to drive, steering, clutch and gearbox are all a little smoother and lighter. Also the Miltek is a bit more shouty on the HR which is no bad thing .
The only other thing ive noticed is the oil pressure seems to shoot up more rapidly on this engine, still idles under 30psi when warm but floor it and it will shoot up to 100-105 PSI and stay there, its not gone off the gauge so im guessing its just a difference between the engines and not a problem? Unless anyone thinks otherwise!

Thanks all.
Yeah we're loving the Night Blue, really nice colour.

I have no technical reasoning behind it but I've always believed the same as you. Certainly with the oil pressure gauge that goes flying up when the car is cold and I can't imagine that's much good for it.
I'm sure someone better informed will come and agree or otherwise with a proper reason!

Welcome aboard, youll be stuck with it now, seems the zeditis has already struck .
Really like the look of the tempur but its too much for me to own myself, congrats looks great though

Im in agreement with everyone else, if youre not using it then I would move it on while the gettings good. Put the money into something youll enjoy now.

Nice ! A lot of midnights had frost leather, is that black ?
Yeah its black, saw one in frost and that was nice but blacks easier to look after so not too fussed about the seat colour, so long as it wasn't orange

Thanks chaps!
I'll call you later, should be after midday, stunning example...
Cheers Mitz, just let me know when and ill be there

Hi all,
As some of you may remember my Mrs was in an accident a while ago and her Zed was written off. Anyhow since then we have been searching high and low for a new one, and weve found one at last ! Picked her up last week, drove all the way to Scotland and back . Midnight blue, FNSH, 34k on the clock, otherwise totally stock.
Shes off to Andy and Mitz today for the old rays with MPSS and the Miltek to go back on along with parking sensors and a few other bits getting done, obviously the most important mod is already done...stubby is on!
Rubbish Iphone pics only for the moment, next weekend im going to get the DA out and give her a full detail so better pics after that:
The Mrs driving it for the first time
With my car stopped at the services on the way back down
After a quick wash to remove all the murdered insects from the drive down
Were both ecstatic to be back in a Zed.

Our old one which was sadly written off was gunmetal.
Our new one is midnight blue - lovely colour and a little rare.

TBH our zed gets used all year round. Have winter tyres for the winter, they're good in the cold and wet as well as snow and ice. As someone mentioned I thought it was a legal requirement to have winter tyres after November? In Germany so you would need to get them if you are going to use in at all in that period so why not just get them and crack on.
There's really very little expense involved you're paying for another set of tyres but wearing out your summer set slower so long term it's really very little. I presume in Germany they have people who must store and swap tyres cheaply if everyone has to do it.

I will direct you to my thread regarding why I keep my spare tyre in:

No amount of tyre sealant is going to fix that, spare wheel got us home though

Mine is hard wired, pretty easy.
A proper dash cam has 3 wires. Positive, negative and another positive.
The (normally) red and black wires you just wire to the cig lighter circuit, this gives the cam power when the ignition is turned on (it's a switched live)
The other one I wired into the pink wire going up the passenger A pillar, this is always live.
The camera microprocessor detects the power has come up on the cig lighter circuit and powers the camera. When you stop and turn off, that circuit drops low and the camera uses power on the pink interior light circuit for 15 seconds and then turns off and waits for the switched live to come up.
It's a really quick job, 15 mons if you know what you're doing.
This is just a cheapo mini 0803 it has red and white wires only - lets presume I don't know what im doing (but capable of learning), what needs to be done to wire it into the cig lighter?
Cheers

Hi all,
After our recent accident escapade Ive decided on getting some dash cams fitted in our cars and ive sorted the one in my civic.
Now im thinking about the new Zed when we get her...has anyone hardwired one of these? A quick search didn't show much up from the forum, ideally what I would like to do is wire in a female cigarette lighter socket to an ignition line. This is what I did with my civic and it was pretty straight forward as there is an option plug in the internal fuse box. Is something similar present in the Zeds fuse box?
If someone has seen a guide ive missed let me know otherwise opinions most welcome.
Cheers.

Thanks chaps, yes it was in a sorry state.
Thankfully the insurance paid out but they're still messing with liability - we've heard nothing.
But good news, we seem to have found another one a nice low mileage HR in San Marino blue. Pics will follow when we have collected it next weekend

Have to say his excitement brings back the days of when I fist drove a Zed.
Exactly this, I have to say im sure that's the same smile I had when I first drove one, vague little niggles about this and that, none of which mattered when you put your foot down, that's why its so great

Ive been up to them recently looking at their Zeds, didn't get a good feeling from them. Both of their 350s had fairly iffy feeling clutches but they swore blind they were fine and pushed a very hard sell. My Mrs and I felt very uncomfortable.
Would avoid.
