I figured it would be a problem, so much for that idea :S

Hi all,
Just a hypothetical question. If I bought a GT-R would I be able to fit my 350z touring alloys with standard size winter tyres? Would the diameter be right or would I need different sized tyres to maintain the wheel diameter, also would they even fit over the brakes etc?
Many thanks,
Ed

I also used oponeo for my winters, best price I could find and quick delivery.
I think mine came from Poland

Quick question how did you guys apply it? By hand or machine and what with?

We initially had a cobra when our exhaust went and found it too drony at cruising speed, just touch the throttle at 60-70 and it's droning away, don't know anyone lives with it but that's by the by. got the miltek on now and it's about the same volume as the stock exhaust but has a nice tone to it. You wouldn't be disappointed. As others have said if you need more noise you can always get some hfcs.
Hope that helps.

I've had SGS replacement gas struts on both our cars for the last 2yeRs and they've been excellent. Also just bought one of their trolley jacks too

Never had any issue with the handbrake so far. When I go to my mums the garage is on a nice gradient and never a problem with it.

Our 2005 we bought two years ago with 31000 on the clock and now has 52000.
It has had exhaust replaced due to failure and needed a gearbox rebuild due to a problem with synchro in 5th gear.
Otherwise just wear and tear items. Going for its P2 and MOT next month.
Lets hope all ok

Does that mean the 350z wheels will go on an M5?

I didn't really find the Zed too bad last year in the ice and frost, it was terrible with the snow mind you but weve got winter tyres on this year and in the icy weather the last couple of days its been excellent not even a bit of twitchiness
Get winter tyres like others have said

Ok so the work is done as best as my amateur hands can manage :S.
Pre wash:
After wash:
After megs 83 on a cutting pad, and two rounds of megs 80 on a polishing pad:
Not sure if the dent shows up but that should be sortable by a dent man I know and ive got some wax curing on it now too. Pretty happy with the results, obviously not as good as before some one ram raided it.
Mitz ill see what the Mrs says about it, the front bumper need a respray sometime due to all the stone chips.
Cheers for the support guys.

So I get up this morning to move the cars around and when the Zed is out I realise theres a nice big scuff on the front of the drivers door
Definitely gone down through the paint. Not sure when it happened as Im not the one driving it most of the time. Looks like car park to me.
I'll get pictures later once ive given it a wash.
People are such a***holes!

As CS2000 says bump and jump start aren't the same thing, but you do need to be able to push it
-
This is probably going to be a silly point and people will tell me why im stupid but could she not get a friend and bump start it?
(No doubt someone will tell me this will destroy something important?)

Couple of things here.
Firstly.. "Police have decided that there is insufficient evidence to prosecute " - i had the same response from the police a few years back when I was stationary and had a boy racer pile into the back of me at about 60mph. My car was scrunched up like a screwed up bit of paper, I was thrown back with such force that the drivers seat actually ripped out of the floor pan. The boy racers car was totally smashed up. All in a 30mph zone. And yet the police said "not enough evidence". Quite what evidence they need i really dont know, surely the scene of the accident speaks for itself.
Secondly, when I took my 350z to my local Nissan dealer for some warranty work, I was totally amazed that the blond 18 year old receptionist took my keys and then drove off in my car to the workshop. Sure, she was pretty fit, but I really would not have expected her to be experienced in driving such a high performance car and would have expected they would have only allowed a more experienced driver or mechanic drive my car in case she lost control because the car was more powerful than her 1.0 Nissan Micra daily driver. So, if this is common practise for nissan to allow anyone to drive customers cars, its hardly supprising an accident will happen!
A tad harsh ... did you know she only had a 1.0 Nissan Micra? Even if that is her daily she might have something else at home she doesn't use for work, most people see my other half in his Pug 307 and not know about the Supra TT and Gixer at home as well as my zed. Unless you personally know her, for all you know she could be a racer at weekends, just because she is young and female doesn't mean she can't handle a zed, they have a big engine but I wouldn't say they're particularly spritely unless you're really pushing it.
This is a good point and I thought the exact same thing, people are always giving my Mrs slightly shocked looks when they see whos behind the wheel of the Zed.
Back to the OP - I saw this link elsewhere this morning, I think its a disgrace and I am impressed by the owners restraint, Id have been absolutely raging.

I had the same problem when we got our Zed, couldn't get it off for love nor money. Took it to Nissan they did it for £25 (this was before I found CS or would have gone to them) but just get some help better than the boot lid falling on your head!
