OK, as i had a spare hour before it went dark, I thought I'd take a leap back to my yoof, I decided to dig an old pair of 6x9's out the loft and make me a sleath shelf. For those not familiar with a stealth shelf, here's what's involved:
Cut some holes for your speakers in a piece of MDF and cover one side with acoustic carpet.
Using the MDF as a template, cut two holes in your parcel shelf:
You may notice that this isn't the neatest of jobs , but the best thing is, it doesn't matter!
Then screw the MDF to the underside of the parcel shelf.
Then cover the top of the shelf with acoustic carpet and mount your speakers to the underside.
All that's left to do now is refit the shelf, wire up the speakers and then go kroozin' down the local Maccy Dee's innit. Safe.
