  1. You should see me about then. I work in Mildenhall and commute from Ely so drive past everyday. I'm the GM with CF roof . I'll keep a look out for you!!
  2. If I was still in the market, you'd have to be beating me to it . It looks like a good one. Looks like the price of the zeds have come down slightly in the last 6 months too. I paid 8k for mine, same spec, same mileage, though in GM (and from a dealer). Good luck

    Tuner Nuts

Thought I'd just let everyone know that if you have tuner nuts fitted to your car, check the key fits into the breaker bar. Mine didn't... luckily I wasn't stuck on the side of the road with a puncture when I found this out. Though I'm sure not everyone is as stupid as the previous owner of my car !!!
  4. I've just found out I'm going to have to replace my rear tyres in the near future. I was thinking of goin Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, at the moment I have some budget tyre all round (which aren't terrible tbh). Now should I replace all 4 corners or can I get away with just the rears considering in 6 months I'm going to need to replace the fronts anyways? Is it going to matter having different tyre makes front and rear for this short amount of time? Will the car handle terribly during this time? I know I'm probably going to get shot down for this but please can I have some real advice rather than it will kill you immediately in a great big ball of fire.
  5. This is crazy!!!! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... =3&theater
  6. I also live in a place with no access to a hose so I do indeed take my car to the friendly Albanians . I think if you have a good one it's not too bad, my local Albanians have wool wash mitts and drying towels. A quick spray of quick detailer and it comes up like this. Granted I still make sure I do it myself when I can. But as long as you do a full detail on it every few months, keeping it looking good isn't too hard. Now wait for me to be shouted at
  7. Is that for front or rear or both? I've got FlyEyes on my rear, still got my old non-LED lights though if needed come MOT time. The FlyEyes look on the rear!! Does anyone know if this is illegal? As it is something I would really like to do.
  8. Nice, looks . GM with carbon fibre does look the dogs dagglies!!
  9. Yes that's the one. Yea I will keep an eye out, I'm in the GM 350Z with CF roof and spoiler. Because your car is in such in need of a detail give us a PM I'll give you a hand!!!
  10. Could have been me, I work in Mildenhall. Though I have quite an obvious black roof!!!
  11. Spotted as above on 21st July. Just wanted to congratulate you on a stunning looking car and very nice number plate.
  12. Hi, I know a few people on here use AutoGlym AquaWax, I know its meant for applying to a wet car but can it also be used on a dry car (after washing obviously). Or should I stick to a quick detailer if the car is dry? Thanks Dan
  13. Ooh nice just like mine You should do the spoiler next.
  14. We're getting the ferry over to Calais and then staying about halfway between Saint-Lo and Granville. The girlfriends parents have a holiday home there. It looks like our trip will go just past Honfleur so may pop in for a nosey. Also thinking of taking the coastal road between Calais and Boulogne sur Mer based on your advice
  15. Ooooh nice roads The car don't look to bad either, what have you done with the front bumper that looks

    Tyre Pressure 19"

I wonder why the previous owner put a 30% profile on the rear then. I've had no issues so far with this though? When the rears run out I'll probaly stick 275/35/19 on instead, the missus might not be so happy with it been a bit more tail happy though Btw how can you tell which size rims you have? (The width obviously!!) Does the j mean same as inches? I am now getting seriously confused

    Tyre Pressure 19"

Are you sure? I thought that the profile size was the percentage of the tyre width. Therefore the correct tyre size should actually be a 275/30/19 on the rear, but that would put the ratio front to back out (tho I believe some people do run a 275/30/19). Of course though I could be completly wrong
  18. Yeah I've got the Hi-Vis but keep stchumm about the bulbs
  19. Don't speed, They gone a little bit nuts on speeding in the last couple of years. 160KM/h will earn you a 90euro fine. If you don't have the cash they will take you to a cash machine. They have started confiscating cars and selling them at auction at over 40km/h over the limit. Expect to be checked for Drink Driving. Normally checked at roundabouts during lunch time. There's a new law about carrying two breathalyser in the car. F**k me I didnt know about that!! Bloody Froggy police Better keep the speed down!!! So any roads where within the speed limit can be fun? But I did know about the breathalysers, sorted all that stuff already.

    Tyre Pressure 19"

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I can only find information regarding the original wheels. Can anyone tell me what the correct tyres pressures are for: Front: 235/35/19 Rear: 265/30/19 Thanks in advance
  21. So on Saturday I'm off on holiday to Normandy. Holiday time . It's the first time I've driven to France and want to make the drive a little bit special (however the girlfriend might not agree with my definition of special ). So, was wondering if anyone knows of a couple of nice roads to give the Zed a nice blast in on the way . Also if anyone has any extra tips for generally driving in France it would be much appreciated.
  22. Right, was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I'm just started detailing my car and my usual (full) regime is as follows: Wash using Autoglym Bodywork, shampoo and conditioner Claybar using Autoglym clay and rapid detailer De-tar using Autoglym intensive tar remover Paint renovate using Autoglym paint renovator Polish using Autoglym super resin polish Wax using Autoglym HD wax Carbon fibre cleaned and renovated with Autoglym bumper care Wheels cleaned using Autoglym clean wheel and wheel sealant Inside sprayed and cleaned with Autoglym fast glass Glass inside cleaned with Autoglym fast glass Glass outside cleaned using Autoglym glass polish Seats cared for with Autoglym Leather care balm In between top up using Autoglym aquawax I am aware that everything is Autoglym and I'm going to get shot down for this but I got a Autoglym valeting kit one year and have just stuck with everything. Plus it seems to work, so can't complain in that respect. Now my issue. With most of the products (in particular Super resin polish) it suggests applying using the perfect polishing cloths, however I'm finding these pretty @*!# as they seem to soak up more product than applying it to the car. Can anyone suggest another better way of applying products? Microfibre cloths may take over the buffing process (such as used for the HD wax) but are these suitable for applying products to the car as well? Any help would be much appreciated with this or my cleaning regime. Thanks in advance.
  23. The Zed has no pollen filter Won't be that then!!!
  24. May be a complete shot in the dark, but I had the same issue on my old Leon and the pollen filter was filled with leaves. Just needed emptying and the filter re-siliconed down.
  25. So basically I'm a bit hungover and can't be arsed to do a full detail of the Zed today. So was wondering if anyone had any tips in order to do a quick job but still get good results. I've heard that a wash then a spray of quick detailer is a quick, simple way to get a good shine, anyone else tried this before and what were the results?
