Finally got round to fitting my Varrtoens.Big thanks to Peter at Varrstoen who has been excellent to deal with. They are the ES1.1.2 19x9.5 et12, 19x11 et22, 245/35 and 265/35 Conti sports 3 tyres. No spacers, no arch rolling and no rubbing.
Where did you buy yours from Bry?

i've used the plastx from megs and it is good, but if you want rid of the scratches then wet and dry is the only way forward, it does scare the crap out of you when you start, but when you do the final polishing stages all is good and panic over.
i use the technique alot in my workshop. and it works every time. patience is the key and proper prep work, if you rush the stages you get a half baked attempt, if you do it properly you can get a better finish that when it came from the manufacturer.
I think I will try the wet/dry technique at some point...preferably when the rain isnt lashing down as it is here at the moment ' the problem with living on a Farm is that you constantly get *hit high just coming in and out of the drive in this weather

I always run over mine with a claybar, and then use metal polish as said above.
Hmmm more than one way to skin a Z then

Could someone please help me with adding the above video viewtopic.php?f=22&t=47592&hilit=headlight+clean[/quote']
Thats great! Thankyou for the link
I bought some Maguires Plastic headlight scratch repair cream as I was somewhat nervous about doing the wet/dry method, it seems to have made a big different except much larger scratches but a difference non the less

+1 When i read it Dan i thought what a load of bollox. A tornado flying at just only 300 mph!
A sense of humour is helpful when in the 'Jokes' section
I quite agree it would have been funny if remotely true.
Just as well that Wasso,Tbiscuit and I didnt care if it was true or not

Hence the reason I put this in 'Jokes' section

True or not...it's still funny though

I have to admit to turning the air a slight shade of blue on many occasions ....particularly with drivers who dont indicate!!
-
Wasnt sure quite which catagory this should go in...but here goes....The Raf should have launched 'em lol!

I'm from Plymouth
Hi Matty Hi Bartman ....if enough of us get together do you fancy a mini meet...between Devon and Cornwall? somewhere thats not miiiiiiles away for both Counties?
-
Unless you're tracking the car I think It makes little to no difference anyway. People always go on about the sheer weight of 19" wheels with the perception of 'Atlas' lifting them above his head "WARRR"!
Go 19" Ian, you know you want to!!
If it makes you feel any better, the handling on my 19" feels better than the 18" with spacers, much more confident to chuck it into a corner!
Thanks Ruddles! You just helped me decide...19" it is!!

Moved to the correct place.
I checked the member Map first....no entries

why do we give them money in the first place, why not food vouchers valid in supermarkets etc, and then a small amount of cash to suppliment any other important requirements. but to be honest there isn't much you can;t buy in tesco. or sainsburys etc these days.
and the vouchers should be invalid if you try and by things like fags and booze. they are after all a luxury not a life requirment.
I totally agree! Admittedly there are many who don't abuse the system ( one can only hope ) but talking to the yobs that my daughter sadly associates with ...they are very pleased with themselves that they still have a social life, smoke...including weed...plus have a roof over their heads...for doing *ugger all!! What ever happened to self respect and ambition! ....I'm climbing down off of my soapbox now...getting dizzy

Not as list as such, but there's a meet coming up:
Probably a bit far from Cornwall though!
Yep too far as I'm going to the Kent Meet this Saturday
If there are no lists....anyone fancy starting some....
I'll start the Cornwall list
