  1. You clearly have a case of Zeditis, see my sig :teeth::thumbs::thumbs:

    :lol::lol::lol: Yup....guilty as charged :p;)

I hope it isn't as severe a case as Graham's :surrender:

It could be worse :scare: ....I go to sleep thinking about it  and wake up and dash to the PC to look for more :headhurt: .....is there a cure!!! :drive1:drive1:drive1:lol::lol::lol:

  2. I just found the eBay bumper, side skirts and front fender on a site called Kit-Tuning .com ( Neo - Tuning in France )....is this company any good?

For 270 euros I'll be amazed if it even looks like a bumper

There's not even a real picture of it???

There appear to be several sites all using the same photo but what I want to know is...WHO originally made this bumper??????

  3. Hi All

I appear to have the modding addiction :drive1 , I have owned my little 350z JDM for a few months now and so far I have the Nismo V2 Spoiler and carbon air intake ( thanks Sar ) plus JVC ICE, Brembo's, and 'Im intending to 'de-burger'.

What I need to know is where would be the best place to buy a Genuine Nismo front bumper and canards plus side skirts? I have found several sites that have them but I would rather trade from known trusted sources, would it be best to import myself or buy in the UK?

I have found an eBay seller RS-Tuning EU....OK so he's on eBay but there must be some reputable sellers :surrender:

This guy is in Germany and this is my alternative to the Nismo V2 front bumper as the canards seem to be unavailable, I also want side skirts.

  4. Search for 'penny trick' or have the struts re-gassed. They are the most common answers.

EDIT: Think it's SGS Enginering for the struts ?

Just what I need  my struts wont hold the lid open

  5. I only say it because I have had a £60 fine for an undersized plate, and my ex had a personalised plate taken off her for not displaying it correctly.

Remember it doesn't matter how much you pay for a number plate, it still technically belongs to the DVLA.

If pulled over because your plate does not conform to police requirements you are then given 14 days to replace it ( by law ) for one that IS...or they issue you with an age related plate :drive1

    Incorrect. partly.

The police give you 14 days to change it and prove it.

However the DVLA can choose to take your plate off you. You receive a separate letter from the DVLA saying the police have informed them that you have been displaying a personalised plate incorrectly and they are taking the action to immediately take the plate from you and issuing you with an age related plate.

As I say, I have been through this process ;)

A friend of mine is a Police Officer, he states that the DVLA will only 'choose' to remove your plate IF they have been notified by the Police more than once for the same plate on a seperate occasion....in other words...ignore them at your Peril! :p;)

  6. Speaking of plates, I just picked up one for the other half as a belated wedding gift. It reads DM04 JSM, which is our initials and the year we met. Doesn't need spacing, doesn't look daft, means something to the both of us. Job = carrot.

    Pass the bucket :yuck:

Just kidding that is actually very clever

I just showed it to Mary and she has found one for me :throb:

    PMSL!! :lol::lol: Love it! :thumbs:

  7. Hey all,

just wondered what peoples views are on personalised plates. if i was to get one id be looking at getting one along the lines of P?? HEF, as in my name, they cost around £189 so quite reasonable in terms of personalised plates.

I've always been unsure about personalised plates as they seem to have a stigma attached to them and people seem to have negative views on them and drivers with them.

    just after peoples opinions really

    Paul

    Hi paul

If people have negative views on them ... its probably because they cant afford 'em :p , all they are is a bit of fun and another way of personalising your car, Iv got 2...40 Top on the Z and VTW 774 on my Range Rover

Iv never been pulled over because I own one, which seems to be what most people ( who dont own them ) state will be the result, driving too fast is more likely to cause that :drive1 , go on get one! :#1::thumbs:

  8. I only say it because I have had a £60 fine for an undersized plate, and my ex had a personalised plate taken off her for not displaying it correctly.

  9. It's just asking to be hassled by cops in my opinion.

The fact that it doesn't conform to DVLA standards doesn't bother me in of itself. The fact that ANPR cameras might not be able to read it does.

Your probably not a criminal with a reason to avoid ANPR, but the next one that get's stopped might be.

I personally don't like the aesthetics of a plate that needs to be fiddled with to make it look right either. Just save more and get the real deal.

Iv had personalised plates for 18 years...never been stopped yet due to them  speeding is more likely to do it though ;)

  10. Getting my Zed on Friday and I'm sorting out my number plate at the minute.

Regardless of opinions on personalised plates...what style do you think looks better on Zed's?

    Cheers for the opinions!

I think the standard plates look better, particularly if personalised....less is more and all that ;) They're great...just a different kind of modding :DB)
