  1. My favourite was recommended to me by a local independent drinks shop and in my opinion hasn't been topped since... Louis Roederer. Prices range from £30-300+ (They make the famous Cristal!) but even the £30-something bottles are really tasty. Off the supermarket shelf (I live in North Wales, we don't have Waitrose here !) my favourite is Veuve Clicquot Vintage Reserve (2002 off the top of my head), which is very reasonable at around £40-something.

    UpRev...

Cheers guys- its nice not to have to pay someone to plug a lead into your car if your nifty with your footwork isn't it?!

    UpRev...

OK so heres the story... On the 200 mile drive home when I bought the Zed the EML came on. I reset it myself, then took it to a friends garage who used the Bosch diagnostics system to take it off again (as it returned). The reason it had come on was because some poor quality gaskets had been used where the decats were, so they had essentially burnt away, which upset the sensors. Was just hoping that in my haste doing this i hadn't lost the UpRev settings- my mind has now been put to rest so thanks! Just out of interest is it worth doing another pedal dance, as the services i had to stop at on the drive home didn't have 98 RON, so the last reset would have been done on 95... From now on only VPower is ever going in! Cheers guys

    UpRev...

Cheers i thought as much, just when people say that doing this viewtopic.php?f=35&t=27472 will 'reset the ECU' i had my doubts whether the UpRev would remain afterwards! thanks for your reply

    UpRev...

This may be a soft question, so apologies in advance... If a Zed has had a UpRev remap, but then has had the EML light removed either by a proper Bosch machine or the magic throttle pressing trick, will the car still retain the UpRev map after the light has been reset? Cheers Jonathan
  12. Thanks Dave, it was actually your posts in other 'help' threads that helped me to understand the principles! Thought a few more pictures wouldn't hurt anyone attempting this Thanks, and great pictures... I fitted my first HU 3 days after I bought the car and I wasn't an active forum member then, I followed the threads on here too so it is nice to help others out if I can Does the 640 have a video in, if it does you can pick up a rear view camera for under £20 on eBay that plugs straight in.... more of a gadget than a necessity but if it stops one little dink then it's worth the money 10 times over It does; however I had no idea how to put the camera in without it sticking out like a sore thumb so didn't bother

  14. Hi all, just installed JVC KW-AVX640 - really impressed. Wasn't as much of a nightmare as I thought it would be after reading some of the other threads on here so thought I would take a few pics for people to use as a reference. Firstly... If in doubt get a professional to help; I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG! Right, firstly I used the great stickied threads showing what I needed and how to do it, along with http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Head_Unit_Installation Here are a couple of pics which may help others, as it took me i while to get my head around everything beforehand! Wiring to get the steering wheel buttons to work in conjunction with the HU Spliced the amp remote wire in (blue and white striped cables on both looms) - seems that this has caused lots of people problems in the past! Finished! Hope this helps someone; it is pointless asking me for specific advice as I have no knowledge of this sort of thing! I just used the other guides on here and worked everything out in the warmth of my lounge so that minimal time was spent messing around in the car. The head unit is on offer at the moment for £199; I feel that this is a steal! Cheers Jonathan
  15. Thanks Alex, the OEM springs were included in the sale. Don't suppose anyone knows how long it should take to switch over by a pro? Ive been told about 3 hours...
  16. Hi, picked up my 350Z about two weeks ago, and have been waiting to give it a good clean before introducing myself! My name is Jonathan, I am 23 and live in Wrexham, North Wales. I found the car advertised on here, and just wanted to say thanks for having such a well informed and comprehensive website which gave me confidence and knowledge of what to look out for. As you can see the car is currently lowered on Eibach Springs, which I am going to have to get switched back to standard - the speed bumps around here are just too vicious! It also has a Japspeed K2 Exhaust (It was decat but as this is my everyday car I had to put the standard ones back in- too loud !), Plenum Spacer, 06- air box and a Uprev remap. I have a new JVC double din screen on the way as well- Cheers to Lexx and Rob_Quads for the guides on what extras I would need. I have never felt the need to do one of these introductions but hopefully I will be able to give back to the community after the help I have found here. Anyway, here she is... And one from the day I bought it... Still loving the torque, which is magnified when stepping from a Civic Type R! Cheers guys and girls JJT
