WonderWheels is also very acidic. So long as it's not left to dwell for too long it shouldn't do any damage but it's not something I would use.
-
Im just amazed that the after all the work i put in there is no improvement under lights. There must be something im missing.
How important is the applicator pad? Would it need to be a cutting pad with the swirl x
Yes, for polishing you should ideally be using a cutting pad. The choice of pad is as important as the choice of polish, if you've not been using a cutting pad, that would explain why there's some swirls/marring left after polishing.
One of these is ideal.

Mine doesn't have a name, it's a car...
-
I've not used Swirl-X so I can't comment on it's effectiveness. A glaze will fill the swirls temporarily, but they will eventually come back.
-
Any wheel sealant will be fine to protect them, it won't affect the matte finish. Swissvax (along with a few others) do offer Matte specific products though but there's no real need for them. Providing they're well protected you'll generally just need water to clean them, but any normal car shampoo will also be fine to use.

Nissan paint is quite soft so it' not difficult to inflict swirls or marring. Super Resin Polish isn't very/at all abrasive (depending on which version it is that you're using) so won't do much/anything to correct the paint. I use Menz 203S and 85RE, but I'm sure others will have their own preferences. You're best off using a DA (or rotary if you're confident enough with it) too, but you can use 203S by hand with a light cutting pad.

IPA and/or Tardis will remove the glue residue once you've got the wrap off.

I believe you can inform them that you'll be fitting the wheels on a specified future date, if the temptation is too much for you. You will of course have to change them then, or call your insurers again to tell them you haven't.

Anybody got any experience of
Meguiars Quick Clay Kit.
as my Zed need a good clean and polish for the Summer.
Thanks.
Many other alternatives, some of which have been mentioned, but the Megs kit is perfectly adequate and good if you've not used clay before.

As mentioned above, metal polish should sort it.
And bin the AutoGlym too.

I am aware I have to pay for the work carried out, and that's all I'm liable for.
And the re-listing costs. And, if you're unlucky, storage costs of for the time between entering an agreement to buy the car from them and the car being re-listed. This, of course, is dependent on any agreement that you signed. In which case your best chance of getting anything back is;
I would discuss the matter with the garage and state you are willing to pay for the work done and reimburse time and effort on their part and hope they accept the offer and as a goodwill jesture of goodwill give you some of it back.

The wheels do look very good.
-
Oh well that's okay then. So long as it's been on the telebox, it's not all ridiculous after all...

What do you guys think of this, anything dodgy looking about this?
Yes. The spoiler.
The panel gap between the hideous bumper and the bonnet doesn't look even to me either but it could just be the angles of the pictures. Other than that, just the spoiler.
Did I mention the spoiler?

Although I've not tried it myself, the general consensus on Detailing World is that topping C1 with EXO will give you both the protection of C1 and much more slickness and gloss along with greater dirt repellency from the EXO. Like I say, I've not tried either myself so I don't know what the finish is like over a wax but it might be something worth investigating if durability is an issue.
ETA; Two coats of C1 topped with two coats of EXO looks like this http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=291777

they're priced at £45 on their website. (for some reason quotes doesn't work on ma work PC)
...what website you on?? ...lol! There about £70 odds! Ebay mines were £52 unopened. If your lucky you get the odd one at £30 ...
Sorry, I misread the page that loaded.
They're from £45... the ones that fit the Zed are indeed £70 (http://www.autosockdirect.co.uk/).

Hi ilogikal1....Im not sure what your on about..?? Please explain..!!!!
Sorry, went somewhat off topic. I was just saying that above a certain speed it's more fuel efficient to use the A/C than it is to have the windows open - to expand on what S1 HNK had posted.
-
How much are these roughly for a set?
If you're lucky they can be had for about £30 on occasion, but they're priced at £45 on their website.
-
The rivets on your front number plate must annoy you! Take a marker to the one on the 5
The illegal spacing would annoy me more...
-
I saw a test once that showed having A/C on in the summer used less fuel than driving with your window down.
I'd rather spend a few more pence on fuel than the repair bill when your A/C stops working.
Not just during summer...
But you're right in as much that above a certain speed (differs from car to car, but on average around 40mph) due to the increased drag it's more efficient to run the A/C. At lower speeds it's more efficient to open the windows instead.
Of course, on the occasional summer's day that it's obscenely hot, having the windows open doesn't do much to reduce the temperature anyway.

One thing I remember she said to me was something along the lines of...
Scare bear ka wa we des.
That's me trying to spell it how I heard it.
"Your wee smells like a scared bear"
Really? Oh. Severe disappointment there.
That's what she said...

Leave it in the airing cupboard over night. Should only take a few hours to dry out.
