No, this isn't a thread to cajole your favourite moderator, rather its a thread for noobs like me to get a feeling what everyone's favourite mod is, and give me some potential ideas. At present, I have an 05 GT, with a scorpion exhaust and looking to improve the driveability of the car, not too concerned about chasing ponies. Currently thinking about a Cosworth/K&N panel filter, and >06 box and the obligatory stubby. So, from mechanical grip, to intakes, driving lessons to exhausts bestow upon me your superior Zed knowledge and tell me what your favourite mods are, and the benefits that they have bought you. Probably done to death. Not the most original thread, or the most imaginative title :doh:but with a steady supply of news, hopefully it will prove useful to some.

I've recently purchased a Zed, already in love. Now she has been used sparingly, just shy of 39k on the clock for an 05. The oil seems fine but should I top up with some fully synthetic oil? Opie oils and euro car parts have decent sales. Want to take advantage of the sales, and the fact that its payday lol. Can anyone recommend me some products to buy? Looks great, would consider buying but not mechanically minded enough to fit. Hopefully will buy in the future and sweet talk a member to fit for some beers lol

As a noob looking to change both disc and pads this year I was wondering the very sa question. Can anyone recommend some pads and disc for road use? And how do you change the brake lines to braided ones?

Hi mate, I'll be putting my Ultra Yellow 350z with 19" Nismo LMGT4s and V1 Nismo Spoiler up shortly for sale prob around May/June if you would be interested has got 55000 on clock, FSH and just passed MOT yesterday with no advisories or failures PM if you want some pics or further details. PM sent. Is there any reason why imports are an issue? I know that with the MX5, insurance companies raped anyone that had one and Mazda dealerships, thought the parts were different. Not an issue per se, but some buyers will be put off if the car is an import. I also heard, not sure if it's just conjecture that not many companies have the correct software to check the JDM ECU making it harder to diagnose faults. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm.

As Will said, I would opt for a GT Coupe. Perhaps save an extra 500, and you'll be able to find a decent example. CAT C/D and JDM may potentially more difficult to sell on. Good luck

This is my second post in this section of the forum, I've been dragging my heels, but finally managed to find her. 05 Coupe, GT, Rays, dressed in Silver. Already in love with her. When I get some more £, I hope to treat her to some continental conti sport 3's, a stubby aerial, and new HU. I've seen a couple of other Zeds around, a Silver coupe with private plates, and rear spoiler, and also an 07 Silver Coupe. Hope to go to a few meets in the future. Been posting/lurking here a while. Viewed the car today, and to be honest it looks and drives very well. Well documented history and the kit looks genuine. I would love to buy, and hope I can sort my finances out so I can purchase.

I'm thinking of viewing this too, your friend has some completion lol. Trade Link did post a thread on here, and took an absolute pounding, that is putting me off to be honest. Is it a genuine nismo kit? To my untrained eye, it looks fairly decent.

Should have framed the question better. I know about the engine differences but wanted some insight into more esoteric changes. I'll do a search.

I don't think the interior affects any if those Obviously, but was looking for the differences between pre and facelift models in terms of the drive...

What about driveability? throttle response, clutch heaviness, steering etc?

Get a 135i and a 350/370. With all the money I've saved you, you can part fund my future zed lol

I've been looking for a zed for ages, and all the good ones go swiftly. Was interested in one from Leicester, went up on satursday, the dealer hadn't even put pictures up and was sold on Monday. I'm thinking I have to consider other cars, fn 2 type r, mk v gti, e46 330, but I would just be pinning for the zed.
