  1. had a bit of a whoopsy in the work car park, there is a raised curb around the edge, about 1.5 foot from the fence and i forgot about it whilst turning around, i have a 4-5 inch scuff on the bottom lip on the front bumper, its on the middle section. now I'm guessing, although I'm no expert, with the way the bumper is shaped and the grooves at each end it will be really easy job for someone to paint and match up, but are there any other alternatives, I'm after pictures of wrapping or anything different that people have done, the car is standard looks wise apart from twin springs and spacers. i did see a thread for carbon covers but can't for the life of me find it paul
  2. a number, interior and silver wing mirrors. lol
  3. i am actually getting excited now just thinking about summer time drives, will be my first summer in it.
  4. as the title to other cars forum says, were all petrol heads and into ours cars. thought id start a thread were people can post pictures of their previously owned cars. or for those with loads, how about your favourites. ill start: my first car. saxo VTR with high lift cams, cosworth ported head, piper exhaust system, 4-1 manifold. was running 125BHP iirc then i had this, RX8 231 model standard which i swapped for this due to petrol cost at the time. citroen C4 1.6 Loeb edition No 217. boring but rare which i then swapped for this. even rarer, ford racing puma 121/500. with LSD, only 80 of the cars were sold with LSD. lovely to drive. was like a go kart. best handling car I've ever driven. then i bought the zed, probably my favourite all round.
  5. i seem to be constantly drawn to driving my car, i vowed to be sensible when i bought it but the draw is too much sometimes. I'm sitting here now trying to resist the temptation to just go for a drive. yesterday i was going to leave the car at work to save petrol and so i could then use it to get home after night shifts. yet i walked out of work, saw the sunshine and walked to my car and drove home, even though it was the middle of rush hour and i knew there would be traffic. just really wanted to sit in it, lol. and the noise and power delivery still brings a smile to my face, I've owned it nearly 6 months now, even a cheeky little acceleration over about 20 metres when the traffic moves off. don't think ill ever get bored of it. it really does bring out the child in me sometimes. anyone else suffer the same thing
  6. Oh, didnt realise that. I take it that if that reservoir is removed the washers wont work then?
  7. Ive done some research and it seems to fit this kit, or the aem one which is the same layout, you need to remove the n/s washer reservoir and cap off the main one. Not sure if it will mean the headlight washers are made redundant but i think i could live with that. Anyone be interested in a group buy on them?
  8. This is after 20/25mm spacers with standard ride height This is after tein s-tech springs added
  9. The mometum one goes through the duct and sits behind the bumper. That nismo one looks like it bends down into the bay before the duct.
  10. The first pipe after the plenum looks shorter on yours. Where does it locate the filter on yours
  11. any drive by videos with the exhaust mate
  12. you fitting it yourself mate, any chance of a video with just the stillen Y-pipe fitted if it doesn't cause you any bother, probably a real inconvenient thing to request but if you don't ask?? assuming you have oem system fitted that is
  13. I've been talking to tarmac about these and maybe having a group buy on them. he is not sure about wether the nismo CAI kit fit uk cars, i believe it to be the same as the aem can kit but am not 100% sure on that, fit uk cars. this is the nismo kit I'm talking about http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/350z-nismo-r-tune-cold-air-intake-system.aspx and this thread is why i ask, its 5 years old now so the design may have changed since http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=66&start=0 2nd point down
  14. done these my self about 2 weeks ago. wanted to let it settle down and get it washed before pictures, so here they are. personally think the small drop is perfect for the car, still no speed bump issues and really firms the ride up nicely.

    my new blue toy

the tein s-tech springs lower it nicely, about an inch all round. and still more than enough clearance for most speed bumps.
  16. Can i get first dibs on that then please mate?
  17. all already done mate, i was after a bit more noise and quite enjoy messing about with stuff. my springs are on so i need something else to play with
  18. looking into getting an injen CAI kit for my 04 zed. i keep reading about heat soak and how it will effect the power. the injen kit, like the momentum one i believe (another option and probably favourite if someone could source it) holds the filter in front of the radiator behind the bumper. i can see how the heat soak may occur when stationary but surely when the car is moving it will only get cold air coming in from the front of the car and the heat soak pretty much be non existant. any views on that?
  19. I like the look of this one. would be what i went for i think http://www.zercustoms.com/news/images/Nissan/STILLEN-Nissan-350Z-1.jpg http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=STISPLIT01&c=EX&r=&b=&m=all
  20. no visible damage to my nose as yet, tiny bit swollen, if it bruises i will do pics of that aswell.
  21. fitted a set of then S-tech springs to it today. wasn't to bad a job, took 5 hours ish,few injuries as always, was trying to undo a bolt, bolt gave and i smacked my nose into the wheel arch, smarted a little. will get pics done once I've cleaned it. only a small drop but does look good with the spacers already fitted, and ok so far over speed bumps. handling feels a lot more precise and definitely feels more confident.
