  1. spain are looking a bit good at the moment - my hot picks at the mo are Spain and Russia with the form they showed the other day against Poland, who i also thought looked good. But COME ON ENGLAND! for tonights game, we need a result!
  2. Top work mesmerising stuff! was that on standard road tyres or trackday specials? and then same question to the other two contestants please? Also looks like you found the only day so far this summer it hasnt been raining - bet that was a relief!
  3. how many miles has the cosworth panel filter done? Although saying that, i really shouldnt as im feeling rather spanish this month!
  4. Hmm, seems a bit steep IMO, for an 03 import i'd be thinking around a £5500 mark. See if he'll knock some money off for you if he keeps the horrible wheels, and if it has been tracked you'd want to see evidence of regular oil changes, brake fluid changes, brake pads and tyres... Even though the bumper and the exhaust would be a bonus for me, i'd probably avoid due to the blatant track use and uncertainty that comes with it.
  5. hes getting more and more human every visit! I'll have to think of something good for him to do when i get him through in a few weeks time!
  6. I have a stock car, and after driving it a while, i'm actually under the impression that i'd love a charged zed - for the weight of the car, it needs around 400bhp i'd say, not the 280 it has from factory. and you can use any car to its full potential on the road IMO, if you're cruising on a motorway in 6th and you floor it, you're using your cars full 270lbft of torque, which is why you accelerate somewhat faster than the cars around you!
  7. well, id start on the value of the base car, which unfortunately isnt that much, but you knew that anyways... unfortunately the value of a lot of those parts secondhand isnt that much really... so i'd say £5000 for the car, plus a another £2000 for the mods, about £7000 maybe £8000 tops as Sarnie says the most likely buyer will be someone who wants a 'charged zed without the expense of building it themselves, but similarly any potential buyer would have to trust that the work that had been done was of a high quality and will be reliable. do you have all the history accompanying the build and the service schedule it will have had following the conversion?
  8. Spain were storming at the worlds, so i'll go for them. I just hope England qualifies, we're about to have our ass handed to us on a plate when we play France on monday!
  9. ahem... you can preview a post before submitting it... to check it is working! also i've just realised a picture can only be 1024 by 1024 max, whereas that url links to a bigger picture size than that.
  10. Good god that is super shiny! thats got a better image than i get in my mirror at home!
  11. slightly back on top, where are you stew with an update!
  12. Well their reputation amongst 300ZX circles is legendary... if there was anything ever wrong with a 300ZX, they were the people to talk to if they're half as good with 350Zs as they are with 300ZXs, that'll be a very good thing
  13. Blimey, spin at dual carriageway, very glad to hear both you and car are ok! If it was dry and you were only accelerating at 7 tenths on decent tyres, my only thought can be a patch of something on the road, either diesel or oil etc - hope you work it out!
  14. bog standard zed is absolutely fine for meets - remember, the zed isnt just a 'bog standard' car in the first place, any mods people make are just a slight improvement on an already brilliant package
  15. i think 255 35 19s would suit your current fronts best (awaits a second opinion)
  16. He has slowed down a fair bit of late, lets keep this alive and kicking, seems to have hit a rough patch!
  17. Hmmmm its definitely a useful technique to learn, but more relevant on track I found. In normal day to day driving I don't bother, as I can only heel and toe smoothly when I'm braking quite hard, which I don't normally do on roads as my GF is normally in the car! However get it right and you feel like and absolute hero!
  18. You do know its got 6 gears right?
  19. welcome! Everyday practicality is absolutely fine for me - pretty sizeable boot is plenty to swallow enough bags for a week long roadtrip, and the fuel consumption and fuel tank means you can go 350 miles between fill ups, and return about 28mpg overall, which aint too bad at all considering the power. As for driving it, is a very relaxed affair - i find very little wind noise and acceptable levels of tyre roar, and the long gearing and good torque means you can quite happily cruise at 2500rpm but still accelerate without dropping a gear. definitely more a GT car than a sports car - my only drawbacks are its a bit heavy and the engine doesnt seem to particularly like revving out the redline, but grip and brakes are good. interior is good if you go for a GT spec - lovely leather seats and good driving position, plus all the toys you'd need. If it helps, I absolutely love mine!
  20. interesting choice! Loving the rears, but the 22" fronts are a bit big. i'm yet to see a zed with bigger wheels than yours, so good work on that!
  21. She's washing a car!?!
  22. mmmm shiny! but why is this in insurance???
  23. mmmm i want that twin turbo kit! Nothing to stop you going and taking a good look at the kit before handing over any readies so if all looks in order i'd be happy!
  24. I know you said you dont want a tape to aux converter, but they are only a fiver off ebay, and mines been going strong for 3 months with daily usage so far! would keep you going until you decide on a more permanent solution!
  25. Loving the rims, what are they?
