I ran Vredesteins on my A4 estate, far better than the PS2s it came fitted with, excellent high speed stability, braking, wet get way superior. Also the MPSs treads would roll the rubber to the edge of the tread sipes, not idea for track use! The various M3 SC Cars I drove did exactly the same, not good if you're in a hurry.

Just got back from a trip to the ring, the first time I have had the 350z on track and I found that the abs would kick in on the front right when light braking. Just had brand new discs, pads, braided lines and fluid. Any one else had this problem or know what it might be? Or is it just getting use to the abs in the 350z?
Do you have grooved/dimpled disc's fitted? If so that is more than likely what you are feeling. Was yours the darker silver car?Saw one around several times, mainly in Adenau.

Rears with Brembo pads here.

Got the disks all round on mine they seem better than the OEM ones
Same here, braking is definitely improved over standard. For the money I reckon them to be excellent vfm.

When I first bought mine it was mainly because of the rarity in the area![Had thought about an M3 but they were very common]lol. We'll be back in Germany from the 20th,not sure how long for this time though.Be great for them all to be in one place[might not still have mine though,I have to change it for something else saddly]
I keep seeing Hornzee about, now I know who you are.

Filled up with Super at Nurburg, drove the car properly,ie,85/90 all the way back to Ely cambs, used the car for a few short journeys before having to refill it,around 579 to the fill up.

Done this myself through the template on Moneysavingexpert. It is so easy makes the "Specialist" solicitor companys look like crooks for charging around 20% for doing the same as you can. It will go through the Ombudsman, but they are on YOUR side. DO IT!

8 pence would have been cheaper and quickly solved the problem.

Had a pair of the new Dunlop Sport Maxx fitted to the rear,road/tyre noise is virtually eliminated, just need to ware out the fronts now, they are 225s,never ever been a problem!

Nope! Its a late 07 313BHP,at least I hope it is as I pay 460 for road fun d. [Henry is aware of the error.]
-
Henry did say that he thought the M3 was slightly ahead, good day at Bedford though plus we didn't wear out my new Dunlops.

Can you not get a second hand one or one off Zmanalex and do it yourself? Always fun playing around with your own motor.
Do second hand come with a 12 month warranty? Lol
Did it myself,10 minute job.

Thanks for all suggestions regarding my failed t/gate release motor. Followed up on some suggestions but felt that some prices were a bit over inflated,to say the least!! Called Ames Nissan dealers in Thetford," Yes sir,not a problem, can have it here in two days, the cost? ah,wait a minute,I can do that for £140 plus the dreaded"- Done deal!!! 12months warranty cant be bad.
One Leicester Breaker quoted £155,but it does include 3months warranty! Bit high? Ok how about £100 then? Bye!

Would the write up be about a Black Z ????
-
Just changed to Motul Oil in the g/box,dont bother using ANY additives, they are not needed, excellent results even in a 70000 plus g/box.
-
Ah,yes, well!! It is Z related though.

Just about to,cheers.

Thanks,as and when alex reads this, perhaps he might PM me? Hopefully!.

Glad to have read about the hidden mechanical release on the 350 t/gate,mine failed today!!!!!!. Had to pull the rear interior panel off, take out the mechanism and so on just to determine why the t/gate would not close after it had opened normally. Now I have disconnected the electrics to the solenoid and releasing from the 'hidden cable',anyone else had this happen please,if so is it a replacement of the solenoid, where did you get it from etc etc. Thanks in advance.

Not exactly the Nissan publication, but EVO are doing an article in the way of a back to back comparison with a Z and M3,a MX3 was thrown in for good measure. Should be in this months edition,or certainly in Septembers.
-
Yes,they will settle down after a while, but certainly the better tyre.
-
Swift Cover, down £40 from last year to £290 FC.

I ran Vredestrein on my spiritedly driven A4 before buying the Z. I have to say that they exceeded the Pilot SP2's that were on the Audi from new. Far better traction in the wet and also in the dry. Problem the pilots have is the tread rolling on the sipe edges when they get a bit 'warm',something the Sessanter tyres do not do. Excellent trye and decent prices at Elite Direct, better than Michelin.

Thank you, took a while to decide on a Z over an M3,but as i regularly stretch the legs of one,the Z won hands down. Excellent car. Did you just call in to RSR in the hope that it was open, possibly only one person there?
Dealer-supplied car with wrong tyres
in Tyres

Funny how some dealers get away with wrong size or faulty tyres. Bought mine two years ago from a company in Norwich. All four tyres were of different make but as I have access to decent discount on tyres,I thought, what the hell,I have a new set eventually. Just as well I did, three of the originals had illegal repair patches! Not plugs as they should have been. Talked to the dealer, naturally they said "its not down to us",we dont take every tyre off to check it"! After a rather long discussion about the fact that they had sold a car in a possibly dangerous condition etc etc but still there was no bending. I then got in touch with those nice caring Trading Standards people, guess what, they couldnt give a stuff! Moto being, all odd tyres? Walk away.
