I will be floating around somewhere, being an instructor here means I have to be.
Big Nissan event next month as well so should be a busy time for me.

Thanks SS,that video has helped me trace the knock on the front of mine- new parts ordered.Brilliant idea, wish Ide seen it sooner.)
-
Hi all, yep, just replaced mine at 106000.I only replaced it because of what I use the car for;))
The flywheel was the problem. Now replaced with single mass along with Exedy clutch kit, which comes complete btw.

It is already booked. For more info you could go direct to the link above and get in touch with Veltin.Very nice helpful guy. Tel him of the link etc.
As mentioned/recommended above, never a bad idea to have some instruction. Various packages are available.

Obviously a very good salesman! Think I'll get him to sell my 07 for 250 less than that hybrid made!

Shame you want the sunset colour version.
sorry lol, though I'm after the blue as well, is that black zed yours on your profile picture? Looks nice
I think Lacky might be selling his mint 2006 zed this month
Nice one, Do you know what colour it is?
Thanks Brett, yep that is mine, still wondering whether to sell it or not.Just moved over to Germany full time, Snow can be an issue in the Eifel so thinking about a Nissmo Duke or something a bit taller.lol
to the forum.
Your budget is pretty tight for a mint GT, revup in Azure or Sunset with less than 70k - but good luck to you
Hi Thanks,
Not necessarily, I do see them pop up with that price and less quite often, just I had my car at the time so I wasn't looking to buy, I missed one for sale down in Penzance last week which was the sunset with all the extras and that sold for £6900 in the end, and it only had 60,000 miles on it and it was mint, so they do come up in the blue or orange but then they don't stay on sale for long but now i have cash in my hand ready i wont miss another , I'm not in a rush to buy so I'm sure one will pop up like that one last week sooner or later, might get someone looking for a quick sale

That said, I was turning into a right junction yesterday, gave the throttle minimum beans possible to move the car and around came the rear. T/C luckily caught me but I still have absolutely no idea what caused that. REo50's, was a cold day mind, probabaly ice or a metal drain cover.
One thing I would say is that once it starts sliding, the weight loves to keep it going. I was at Spa the other day in the wet and pretty much every time I was going round Bruxelles (slightly downhill RH hairpin) Id turn in, the back would come round and stay right on the lockstops until the exit. This was with no power at all, at one point I actually lifted my right foot up to show my passenger :lol
Its one corner that will bite, were you trail braking into it?
-
All the above, not so sure about the crap tyres though, but also your braking style. Are you one of those who brakes going into a corner.ie,trail braking? that will unsettle the balance of the car .Get it slowed in a straight line, then turn it in.MORE LOCK- LESS THROTTLE.
As EVO said, you need to push pretty hard to get the tail out.

Or you could try Vehicle Wiring Products, very fast postal service and competitive prices.

OK,thanks for the heads up,but for £175 it was a case of,oh well,i'll give it a try!.. I have to admit to being just a little sceptical, but after opening the box was impressed by the weld quality and general appearance.I couldn't wait to get it fitted today just to see how it fitted-perfect straight fit,and how noisy it would be.Again pleasantl surprised, only slightly louder than standard, but in a deeper tone, fine at the higher rev scale as well. We'll see how things progress.
-
I AM entitled to me opinion as much as anyone else, just because I dont agree with what either of you have said, doesn't mean I'll take a high horse view! Best not reading through green eyes I think.
-
Just fitted the Jap Speed version- very pleased with it/Was expecting a fair bit more noise but pleasantly surprised by its subtle deeper sound. Tig welding on all sections is VERY good.Seen some systems that have been Mig welded-not the way to go for stainless. So,Jap Speed? go ahead and fit one and ignore the other suppliers/manufactures,Jap Speed ARE very good for the money paid.

One of the best things about a Z is the brake lights come on with the slightest touch of the left foot-when the right gets buried.
-
Sorry to crash in on this but was interested as will need a replacement before too long.Did the usual and had a look on EB,came across one add the states "30+bhp gain"!!!!!. Obviously aimed at owners with a low intelligence reading.LoL
-
Sorry to resurrect this after a month or two,but would like to say that there are quite a few Zds turning up these days, mostly Dutch, some German cars and some Brit's. IF anyone is planning a trip next season and would like some advice,I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have.It is STILL a fantastic place to drive, just dont expect to learn it in three laps! . LoL

Did you ever establish which car you have? HR or DE? I seem to remember it being single intake from another thread.
Its DE,but have handed the bill of sale to someone who knows about these things, other than that,no comment
-
Hi,looking for the best supplier/best priced as well, any thoughts/experiences please. Cheers.
-
Use a good 2K lacquer
-
Ah,often seen you go past,so,now I know.
-
Shame there was traffic around. Car looks nice btw.
-
That should help Terence - plus it has to be worth getting one for the dipstick alone
Oh,such a comedian! Quite typical smart @rsed reply on a uk forum.
-
OK,thanks for that-my clutch is getting a little tired so looking out for a lighter Fly/Clutch arrangement.

Yes I do have the original sales invoice, clearly stating it to be a 313.
Yes,I do like the car a lot more than the M3s I regularly drive [dont want to be stereotyped as I know where the indicator switch is] It was a present from my wife, thats what has pi**ed me off more than anything. Going to take the engine cover off first, before returning to the garage in Norwich where I bought it from.

In my resto shop manager days I restored three 240s.Yes,the can rot very badly from around ten inches up from the sills. Not overly complicated build though.
Always thought 240 to look the best of the two.One of those I did was one of the original works rally cars. After a general mechanical check over, all was in great condition. We then did an authentic looking Megaphone twin exhaust system for it,wish I had recorded the resulting sounds.
