OK so following on from a simple re gass problem i have had an aircon specialist look at the car today whilst it was at my trusted garage for an MOT which it passed lol he has said the compressor works and the clutch is activating but the connector going to the Compressor is not getting a 12v feed and suspects a pressure valve is not opening now my limited knowledge on aircon and discussion with other mechanics say to locate this valve and bridge the connector this will then either confirm or rule out the valve as being at fault he suspects the valve will be behind the drivers side of the bumper can anyone else confirm this and can i get to it if the bumper is left on just to disconnect and probe the end of the cable or better still tell me where the other end of this ends up and ill bridge the multipin which is where im assuming it ends up? would like to be able to get this all sorted asap as driving round in weather we have been having is starting to make me stick to the seats lol Cheers all

HI Guys ok so i have a garage that i trust looking at the car they have had an aircon specialist out to investigate the problem and his finding are as follows Compressor seems fine clutch is activating but there is no live at the compressor, apparently there could be a release valve that is stuck and thus not allowing the current to get through ? i had the Rad fans changed last year due to them failing is there a connector that could have been missed when fitting these etc the local nissan dealership which the garage know quiet well have said (it could be anything best send it down for us to look at) not really up for that as they will charge a fortune yes ok it will get the thing fixed but if its something simple there not gonna let me know its something simple and still charge me a fortune so looking for a bit more input from you guys can anyone offer advice ?

Have to agree was an excellent weekend and the weather well that was just spot on i know im a tad burnt as are the rest of the Outlaw Members that went. there were definatly more cars in the field i was in this year we had a mixture of cars on the stand hitting a total of 41 over the whole weekend and i think its safe to say we were the only stand with a swimming pool well ok a puddle wrapped in plastic but it served a purpose in the heat lol, ill wait till my members post up some pictures then transfer a few over from the Outlaw Jap Club Stand i also spotted a few and met up with buster at one point couldnt tell you what day it was though as the weekend is one big memory lol

Mileage Cant remember as the car is now sitting in storage but it will be about 100 or so more than its last MOT which was done start of august Tax will be taken off as its in storage Alarm will also be removed I have a RR print out Price drop to £6500

You are right Vix we were asked to turn off at about 2am but we had to reduce it down to an acceptable level at 12am we had a generator hidden inside all the tented area so that kept the noise going to the other stands to a minimum. The show is what the members and clubs make it, we have had this discussion for many years. I attend as the club representative for Outlaw Jap Club to every site meeting each year and we discuss the same points but traders will only come if the numbers of attendees is up attendees will only come if the number of traders is up so one will have to give in order for the show to grow even further. Its home at wickstead park does now cater for Families and with the family camping area away from the main event it does make it easier for those with children to come and enjoy the show without forgetting that its also a children's theme park there are activities and rides for the kids we have a mixture of 40+ different jap cars on our stand 3 of which will be 350z along with many other models and some rare ones too We make the weekend about the members and the cars to take away from the fact There may not be many traders, we have never had any complaints for the Stand and have steadily grown in numbers each year. what helps with the numbers is the clubs commitment each year we try to put on the best we can for the members we have never actively gone for Best club stand or most activities entered etc as the members would rather sit and chat about cars in the sun with a few drinks all day (we do have a number that take part in activities as well Mind) One thing to remember regarding tickets is if you turn up on the day and pay for a day pass this will NOT allow you to bring your car into the show ground you will be parking outside (in a secure car park) The only way to get a car onto the grounds and onto a stand over the weekend is to buy a weekend ticket that goes for all 3 days AFAIK this is to stop people turning up and only paying a single admission and then crashing at someone's stand over night going home the following day. For anyone that wants to pop over and say hello we are located in the field Ebisu and have a 60mx40m plot so hopefully you wont be able to miss us lol there will be something on our stand that we are quietly confident no other stand will have too....... I'm getting a steady 33.3 mpg The last full tank I ran did 481 miles till the dte gauge stopped telling me what it had left which apparently is about 30 miles The ride is good in it not very floaty it has no real power but this can be modified with a chip etc but I'm not looking for that from it Buying a truck an back this week as I need to be able to put things inside it lol

Hiya it's not as expensive as you think for a G5 alarm I had a clifford avantguard supplied and fitted for I think it was 650 i did buy on top of this a gsm tracker/controller which was around 200 more but this send me a txt if the car gets stollen and the alarm triggers I can also txt the unit to get its location. I don't think it's worth buying that led get the full alarm for better piece of mind

Anyone able to offer advice on how to check through don't fancy oing to Nissan to have them charge a fortune to investigate then even more to repair.....

Ooh I like those how did you get the indicators to phase across like that guessing you got a bit of circuitry I thought of doing this on some custom stuff a year or so ago for my Lexus using a single shot timer running through a decade counter to do it do just curious Rabs

Ordered a set of hoses lunchtime yesterday and arrived lunch time today cant fault the service via PM and delivery Will be using them again

OK so any thing to look for with the aircon it doesnt smell, the system blows cold air just not COLD air, any ideas ?

I haven't used it since i got the car TBH but mainly due to it not being cold lol

Car is a 2005 Model would have hoped that nissans build quality would have lasted longer than 6 and a bit years lol

Ok so i took my car to be re gassed today as it wasnt very cold in the cabin, the car took all the gas etc how ever they couldn't get the temperature very cold. Is there a common issue that i might be overlooking or any suggestions of things to look into....

OK All parts have just been ordered from Alex Many thanks So im now going to plan on swapping the hoses in the bay for better ones like samco hoses etc or maybe viper performance where is the best place to get discount from suppliers would be great to lol but if not such is life? other parts im thinking about getting are Oil Catch Can Radiator Cooling Plate any suggestion on places to get them from ?

Some great pics was a good but wet day as soon as we walked off the stand hevans opened that aside the track action didn't stop for long but did make the drifting more lively........
