  1. she was on my right hand side on the round about and i was in the left hand lane taking the left hand exit she was on my drivers rear when i was entering the junction, i had no choice but to either let her take out the side of my car (would have been a clear cut case of her at fault if she did) or slow down there was not enough space with on coming traffic which resulted with me being forced into and over the kerb. luckily the road that i was on shortly after the incident was a national speed limit and she was doing 50mph as she was being over taken by other cars so yes i was able to catch up with her. i will add this was a Saturday evening and between me stopping to inspect the damage and then jumping back in the car to catch up there was a grand total of 8 cars ahead of me so would hardly say there was need to drive like a loony as i could still see her driving poorly in the distance
  2. thanks mate i will drop you pm tonight, i did speak to my old man who had a interseting 30 years in job variying in what he did from riot squad back in the days to response driver pursuit trained thingy lol he knows that bit of road well and said that no mater if i was infront or behind her car i was in the left lane taking the left exit there was no other place for my car to go apart from there so she was driving without due care and attention and driving without regard for other users the fact she didnt stop is a sticky one as her car was not damaged by the incident she didnt have to stop but again the fact when i caught up with her she knew exactly what she had done and still failed to provide details then puts her in the category of failing to provide details at the scene of an accident
  3. Traffic didn't attend but the woman at my local station was giving good vibes in the fact it seemed fairly straight cut once she had seen the map etc at present i have not notified the insurance company and i dont plan on as far as i am concerned this is a civil mater im planning on pursuing her for damages
  4. Its all good saying applying the brakes would have been the best thing to do but when you dont have the chance because the is someone coming behind as well its kinda hard you have to think are they going to stop in time.... im not going through the insurance and why should i i have reported her for her road conduct more than anything, if i can get the delightful woman to court for her actions great i now know how much one wheel will cost so thats what i would be going for. end of the day its my choice to pursue this and if i dont notify my insurance of it as there is no need thats also my choice. i drove back to that junction the other night in my estate car, camera mounted to video the junction an there is white markings on the road indicating its one lane only and has the ghost island marking to show one lane so she not only wasnt paying attention she was trying to overtake at a junction very poor road sense and oblivious to other road users including those on coming
  5. Ok so as you can see i did the front end and got it all sorted however this was not the end of the fun it turned out that in some light it was perfect in other lights it was pee poor So here we go this was the paint match So i tried to polish but no such luck due to being the wrong paint on the rest of the car so on sunday afternoon i started masking up and monday morning / Lunchtime it got bar-coated sanded the high spots of then hit it with colour So after 3 and a bit coats of paint It was time to leave it over night the roof isnt right and requires a further coat as its so big and such a pain to paint its got alot of imperfections but im hoping that i can get lacquer on it tonight and maybe tomorrow sand the lacquer again and hit another coat on keep your eyes open for more updates lol
  6. well her 1st comment when i stopped her was "You undertook her on the roundabout so it was your fault" so yeah i think it was deliberate i may not get anywhere with the police but if anything it will give her a kick up the backside to actually use mirror indicators and have some common sense Alex how much is a wheel from you
  7. i have this on my car, very cool and worth the money. makes the front of the V2 bumper so much nicer
  8. i have witnesses and there is CCTV on the junction as part of the building near by as much as i would normally take a hit on something like this i have made it very clear i want to take her to court she failed to stop despite causing the accident, when i did get her to eventually stop she refused to give details and claimed i was in the wrong she did not indicate at any junctions didnt know who she was insured with or her home address when asked so all seemed to funny to me so im happy to pursue her to court over this people need to learn actions have consequence's
  9. ok so i visited the police station on sunday and reported her gave all the details i know the police cant say i was in the right or the wrong but the woman on reception who knows that road very well said seems like it was fairly straight forward what had happened and you cant undertake on a roundabout. so she had to have been in the wrong lane. i am now waiting for the traffic police to call me to talk about this the car is going in today to have the wheels looked at and refurbishment but the question is now what do i do, i like the wheels in the shadow chrome but been told that may take longer and cost a bit more do i pay the extra to get the wheels back to how they should be well at least close to it or do i go for just a darker silver on them ?
  10. Ok so i was out in the 350z on saturday and got forced off the road by a woman in a skoda (always said skoda drivers were c*ck's) anyway i was on a roadabout turning left and in the left lane indicating there is no where else for me to go unless i intend on going al the way around the roaund about which would cut people up. so as i come into the junction this skoda is on my right and at my rear quarter she decides she wants this exit to and make the turn into the junction, as a result i either let her slide down the side of my car or turn towards the kerb well you can guess which i chose so i now have this damage to my car Anyway i tried to get her to pull over by playing nice i flashed the lights pointed at lay-bys etc but she refused so i pulled over to look at the damage saw how bad it was andd decided i was going to chase to get her insurance details as i dont really wanna pay for damage that is down to someone else poor driving (skoda) so followed her till i had a stretch of road where i could get her to pull over by ANY MEANS which resulted in parking in the middle of the road she claimed she didnt know who she was insured with as her husband deals with it she also didnt seem to know her home number so i will be going to the police station in the morning i think and take her to court for dangerous driving and driving with out due care and attention this is where the incident occurred CO6 1LJ i was coming off the roundabout onto coggeshall road was maybe 50 yards around the corner when she forced me off she claims i was undertaking her..... what are you views looking at the map should i be pursuing her and take her to the cleaners ? :Fish:
  11. i have all the moulds now to do these and experimenting at making them getting the process right before i do anything else i will get the ones on my car done and get some pics up for everyone so we know where to get them from in the future....
  12. Ok so sorry to bump an old thread it went away for a while and now it's come back there is no pattern to it I can drive the car hard and get nothing I drive it soft for max mpg and nothing then all of a sudden it does it only does it once a trip after a reset it don't come back So sounds like a intermitent faulty sensor as above so will swap from bank one to bank 2 and go from there
  13. OK so with The outlawjapclub.com attending the Ace Cafe on the 5th i set my self a deadline to have it done by that was today lol Well we have success but was without its moments, if anyone attempts painting the car again dont try and use the Meguiers G220 to get out the Orrange peel or even the aftermareth of using 1000 - 2000 gritt paper as its not man enough. i found this the hard way so had to go and buy a new Sander/polisher but once i did wow what a difference cut through the scratches alot easier and brought the car up to a nice shine so here is the finished article prior to leaving the Booth today So i drove it back to the ranch and gave it some love so after a clean and a hit with Poor boys Black Hole we look like this
  14. must stress this is my 1st attempt at spraying the car so dont shoot me down to much ......
  15. k so thats the second weekend over with an still its not on the road but we do have significant progress there was a few runs so we gave everything a quick rub down and then re lacquered so the moment you have been waiting for well i hope you have anyway lol The body work unfortunately has orange peel i think to do with a mixture of things mainly the heat it got to in the room during the spraying rather than after where you bake it on so this means i have to flat the orrange peel down to get my glass finish i want so that's next weekend sorted here is the comparison what are your views anyone had orange peel from spaying before etc.....
  16. Onto Saturday Ok so end of another day which started off not do well there had been a reaction over night to something we suspect a mixture of 2thinners maybe the culprit so had to sand the wing back again few more costs then again untill no reaction was left didn't fancy going all the way back to Barcoat as thats lots of work etc So once this was do e we carried on few more dustings on the rest of the car then a light rub down and lacquer time now this stuff goes off quick dependant on mixture levels do we had what we thought was a 25min window per load turned out due to mixture and heat that it was a 10- 15 min window lol So after 4 passes this is the state
  17. So 1 week on I had the friday off work so after a early start to get the last few bits done it was time to paint started with the skirts After a few coats we left those to harden and after about 30min in the polly tunnel it was time for the bumper Again few coats later and lunch time for the wings We deliberately sprayed onto the bonnet to get a thick coat on the edges as we're expecting as with most cars that to be the points that could get damaged easy So... Also did the fuel filler car and the bump strips of the new wings Will do another few overall coats this morning then start with the lacquer depending on how quick it all goes off will depend on if it drives away this Sunday or not...... Stay tuned lol
  18. Now onto the real fun bit take it all apart again and re align everything from the start so turned out i was missing a headlight bracket so had to order the drivers side one of these whilst i was at it i got the GTR bonnet latch re-locator and GTR hinges i didndnt fancy cutting them apart so i for now have made wood spacers namely due to the fact i was dong this an hour from my metal working facilitys and i want to get the exact height it needs to be so far sitting at 35mm height change whilst still using the R34 GTR hinges complete so with the car now lined up properly we could see the differences in the dimensions of the kit and i wasn't happy so out came the fibreglass and filler etc and here we go gap before fiber glass added Filler added so with the kit now lined up propperly time to get on with the prep to paint we did flat it all down etc and started with the filler primer Unfortunatly there had been some touch up work done and the paint even though flatted reacted badly with the primer so had to be sanded down again and treated with barcoat to plat it safe i did the whole front of the car in it even inside the shuts New coat of primer applied No reaction so carried on so now waititng for that to fully harden for a few days before any base coat is applied but here is the workshop/ Spray shop Here is the foreman slowly getting there
  19. Ok so update time and i think you will all love this little bit of work So i started the conversion on thursday morning so here are the pics in the morning Kit positioned Headlights cut into place Test bolt up Semi finished front end etc I can confirm that you can make the factory bonnet catch work you need to drag forward about 2 inches i used stud and nuts to do this however the bonnet catch is quite a stiff bugger so needs to be braced from below or it wont shut and latch also factory hinges with r34 tops dont work for the masa bonnet, it sits far to low and has to be spaced (temporarily) 13 x m8 washers per side to even come close plus the actualt hinge is to far over and has also been spaced to even come close to the mounting holes on the bonnet........ so few more pics now As you can see the bonnet still doesnt line up right i think this is due to the fact there are to many variables on the bonnet line up so need to solve this before i can get the lines right. thought this wont stop me getting the car Wrapped ASAP alll thats left now is the rear Splitter to fit but this requires some modification and it was raining lol
  20. so as the last place i posted a question is now locked ill ask a few more in here oh and yes i did miss your post LEXX where you said it was a member and said who it was were all human so moving on from that will this fit my 05 GT4? looking at the bracket im not sure i would be happy to re use it as some strength has been removed form the middle part However the second picture does show its now been welded back up so could be stronger than before or weaker, so can a bracket be purchased separately does any one know the cost of one ? can this system just be bolted on and not require a mapping etc (i only ask as i did a SC conversion on my IS200 bolt on upgrade for more power etc no tuning) Cheers
  21. hmmm i wonder........ how hard to fit etc ? is it someone on here ? will it fit my 05 GT4 car ? Cheers guys
  22. Ok guys still after this lol does anyone know of a decent breakers yard that might be able to oblige, most of the ones on ebay say they dont have this connector but im sure is due to them not knowing what it is more than not having it help lol
  23. oh im sorry to hear about Phil, the work he did on this paint was top notch. Yeah i used to take my lexus back to lexus as i had a good relationship there so got a fairly good discount on all works, thought about taking it to them and trying it.... there is only really this main bit on the front which i have been told is a crack in the gelcoat so would need to be done by taking right back im guessing due to it being the pearlescent its not easy to just fix a 1 foot by half foot section
  24. So does anyone have any recommendations for garages in the Essex Area, was thinking take it back to ESR but that is a 4 hour drive probably get more damage on the way back down....
