  1. He's tried swapping the power cable but made no difference Pretty safe bet the PSU's gone bad. Just had a thought though - have you tried it in a different plug socket?
  2. Personally I don't mind the clutch but I do agree it has a pretty small biting point (engagement window). Seems like a fair bit of effort (how hard is it to get the pedal out?) but a pretty cool idea. Love it when people come up with these sort of solutions nice work Ricky
  3. Im doing an Open Uni IT degree (alongside my full time IT support job) if you need anyone else to help
  4. Corsair have a good rep if you get a new one
  5. Forgot about that, check the LED on your motherboard (if you have one) is lit.
  6. If the PSU had gone I think you'd smell it. Whenever they have blown at work they tend to stink like smoke!
  7. Could be as basic as the fuse gone it the plug check that first or try a different power cable
  8. Yeah hope so, always keep an eye out for local meets
  9. Ill admit its not the most sensible (obviously risk of burning flywheel/wrecking clutch plate) but it works. Plus you only have to do it once to know you have an issue.
  10. 350 clutch is one of the heaviest I've used but you soon get used to it. New fluid might help if its not been replaced in a while. You could try adjusting the clutch pedal and see if it improves the biting point. Bit of a faf to get under the dash and need to make sure it still touches the cruise control switch (add some kind of spacer to make it touch if you have to) It was super easy to tell in mine when the clutch was going (stop, 1st gear, ESP off, dump clutch, lots of noise but no movement/wheel spin). Can't help with the Bose head unit im afraid. Edit: best way I found to get at the clutch adjustment
  11. Haha, I had thought about changing it at some point but never found one I like enough to justify the price/hassle! Had R3 CAD on my old MR2. Should've kept that
  12. Dont quote me on this but I believe you would have to do an ECU reset for the CEL light to go off and allow the car to re-learn values. From what I have read, after doing the reset via the pedal dance if there was an issue the CEL would come back on within a few minutes (5-10?) Do you know if the Lambda sensors had spacers fitted? Of course its possible the sensors could be buggered to getting a code reader as Chris suggested would probably be a good idea!
  13. Cheers I got them from cs2000 (Chris). I think he's stopped doing them but im sure he'd give you a hand making your own if he cant do a set for you!
  14. Thanks buddy I don't do everything myself on the 350. Things like services and the clutch were done by Japex. My 106 track toy/winter car on the other hand has all been on the drive! http://thrll.com/car...ugeot-106-12869 Still at least you do as much as you can yourself. I do as much as I can myself too but there's always something with car's that it just isn't feasible to do yourself at home whether it's because of equipment/time constraints or something else. Bet that 106 is fun on track. True, plus this way if the day comes I have to sell her I can say she has a good reputable history The 106 hasn't seen a track yet due to various mods taking longer than expected. For example I wanted to lower it on springs, only by 40mm and put some adjustable shocks on. Simple right? No. Ended up replacing the entire rear axle and rebuilding most of the rear brake lines! Leaving it as is for now (unless a cheap Janspeed manifold comes up for sale) then next year will be the first track session in it

  21. March 2013 Aftermarket alarm with remote start. The guy who installed it was a clown. He smoked while working on my car (which made it stink for weeks), dropped his torch on my rear quarter and dented it, blew a fuse that controlled the dash (which I ended up replacing myself because he couldn't figure out what the issue was!), damaged the heater control ribbon cable and then left the job half finished with no remote start and very bad wiring! The owner of the company ended up coming to visit and practically reinstalled the alarm from scratch and finished the job that eejit he sent before messed up... The owner did take money off so I could have the dent repaired which I have yet to do as a bit of elbow grease and polish has improved it a lot since the picture below... Total install time - 3 days between two installers. No pictures of the actual alarm or remote start or anything just of the dent and damaged ribbon cable...
