PS... I am only replacing the rears, fronts have plenty of tread. So will i still notice a massive difference over MPSS over 453's just for the 2 tyres??????????? Another spanner in the works there

Well the budget I had in my head was 150 but if they are really that much better then i shall probably just go for them tbh

Ok thanks for your help everyone, looks like its between MPSS and 453'3. Just looking at prices and have found so far 126.88 compared to 175.90 but then if they will last a good deal longer then the MPSS may work out cheaper?? And 350AD my concern is that whatever tyre i get i most defo will not cut out drinking for a month!!!!

Ok so im either going with.. Vredestein ultrac sessanta Toyo Proxes T1 sport Falken fk 453 No track action just normal all year round drving with the odd blast here and there. After reasonable wear and low noise etc. Any comments are greatly appreciated!

My rear tires are cooked and will be after a new set fairly shortly. On the front I have toyo proxes which I'm pleased with so would be looking at the same or something of similar quality. Any ideas on cheap suppliers would be fantastic. Thanks in advance, Ian.

Also i have a japspeed y pipe which i haven't had any problems with so was going to keep, will this fit ok? I believe its the same size as OEM?

I see the backbox is a fair bit smaller than the k2, would you say the system is louder because of this?

As the title my japspeed k2 has developed a rattle and it turns out that the mid pipe and back box are ready to fall apart!! I always knew it was budget and has only lasted 2 years from new, you get what you pay for! So anyway my y pipe is fine but im after a second hand or new back box and mid section.. I really like the sound of the k2 so am after something similar if not slighlty louder Thanks in advance.

I came from a 330d before the zed and after 2 years of owning both i would probably say they cost about the same to run! Obviously the zed its more juicy but makes up for it by being a decent reliable bit of japanese engineering and not spending time in a garage!

I find my average mpg accurate to within 0.1 or 0.2 of real mpg which at the moment is a tad over 24

I've done the RCA thing too, just got some Alpine speakers for the front, I feel this could be a slippery slope though Are you planning to just fit your new speakers into the existing system rather than amping them seperately? If so let me know how it goes as i am thinking of doing the same thing! Cheers

I am running a pioneer hu and just done the RCA mod and very impressed with the results. Front speakers are now very loud and plenty of bass even at high volume with no distortion. Saying that though I'm still considering the next step ..

Hmm that sounds like hassle! I have always ran subs in previous cars so fairly familiar with the wiring just seems like it would be hard work in the zed! Did you have to cut holes anywhere to get the wiring to the cubby? I'm now even more undecided what to do!

Ok so how hard is it to amp the fronts then? Think I have an amp kicking about in the loft!
