  1. Hmmm. I bought a bimmer with apparently perfect leather a while ago. Six months later it'd deteriorated alarmingly. I guess the previous owner had 'invested' in a similar treatment before selling. C'est la vie.
  2. IMO unless you have a carefully calibrated arse/seat interface, until you go FI or NOS you aren't even going to notice the extra 10-30 BHP you can expect from bolt-on goodies. Save up for super/turbo charger(s) or just enjoy the ride.
  3. The photos may be nice keepsakes, but as an accurate representation of the car's condition they're pretty poor. Too many shadows to make out much detail. Sorry to sound negative - please take as friendly criticism.
  4. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Big Size 2200.50.00 Features: 45.5mm diameter (inc crown), date, helium escape valve, unidirectional rotating bezel, co-axial chronometer with screw-in crown. Technical: Domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, water resistent 600m. Movement: Caliber; Omega 2500, self-winding (automatic) chronometer, Co-Axial Escapement movement with rhodium-plated finish, 48 hours power reserve. I love this watch and will doubtless get another the same or similar in the future. It's weighty but not overly so. It may look and feel quite large at first but soon 'shrinks' to fit. I've not found fault with it - easily the best piece of engineering I've ever owned. It keeps remarkably good time - I've not had to reset it for weeks at a time - and I like my watches to be within a few seconds. It's a shame my current circumstances require me to let it go. Someone is going to get a beautiful watch at considerably less than current list price. I believe they are currently retailing at c. £2,600 ($3,950USD). The price for this model has increased steadily annually. Mine is not pristine, it's been worn fairly frequently, but is nonetheless in very good condition. It comes complete with original box, cards, tags, etc as can be seen in the photographs. It was bought new from Goldsmiths at the end of 2009 and I've kept everything it came with, including the display price tag. The watch itself is pretty much unmarked front and rear but the bracelet has some minor marks which are unavoidable if it's to be enjoyed. Hopefully you can see them in the photographs. More and higher res photos available if required. Omega website: click. Co-Axial Technology: click - please study this, it's a thing of beauty and wonder. £1,850 inc RMSD UK only. Advertised elsewhere so may be withdrawn at any time. ETA. Add RMSD included.
  5. I notice it has amber/orange bits on the headlamps... wasn't that on earlier cars and imports? I've probably got that wrong - new here and all that.
  6. I'll have to take some photos with the required username and date. If I get no joy in the first few days I'll pop back to try here. Thanks for prompt reply.
  7. Is it okay to link to an advert on another site? I'm selling a watch and would like to 1) give members here an opportunity to see it and 2) get more coverage (selfish I know). The website concerned is TZ-UK.com
  8. This is the truth of it. I've just come from a TVR Griffith with c. 270BHP. However, it weighed 1,050 kgs so was significantly faster than my zed which is supposed to have a few more ponies under the bonnet.
  9. Thanks for the offer ZMANALEX, but as you may've gathered from our conversation the other day, I cassn't work a spanner. I've spoken to 'my man' - he'll have a look for me before he sets off for Spa.
  10. Morning all, not sure if this should be here or technical - mods, please move if appropriate. Had new clutch and (single mass) flywheel replaced last week. It's great to have full grunt on tap when requested - the slipping had become quite bad in the end. Anyhoo... the clutch feels fine, selecting 1-4 and reverse is fine, but fifth and sixth take some effort. This was not the case before the clutch was replaced. I'm guessing that either 1) new, functional clutch is highlighting existing problem with gearbox or 2) something like linkage got jiggled* replacing clutch. Thoughts please? ---------------- * Apologies for getting technical there.
  11. *bump* slimjim As it's been mentioned elsewhere; how's the leather looking months later? It's a job I need to consider as my passenger seat has a decent scuff.
  12. I fear that if you were hit hard enough to knacker the n/s front wheel on the kerb, the damage may be substantial. Let's hope not. Fingers crossed. Glad you're okay. COYS
  13. ... And I'd've gotten away with it too if it hadn't been fer you meddling kids and your dog.
  14. True. I'll butt out before it/I get out of hand. Discretion being the better part and all that. Have fun.
  15. Remarkable. Indistinguishable from the real thing.
  16. Where the **** have you been? Look at the state that shower of shits left our nation in! Good riddance to bad rubbish.
  17. Yeah. Because those new labia cnuts were so great.
  18. Like night and day. Pulls like it should now. Happy.
  19. Hmmm. It seems I do the opposite of most here. I'm far more likely to switch off TCS when I want some fun... when it's wet. It's much easier to get the rear out and safer too as I'm going way slower than I would be in the dry. Perhaps I'm just odd.
  20. Sensible advice. Plenty of wannabe-racers out there think it's big and 'ard, but the aids are there to help out most of the time. I enjoy flicking it off when I'm in the mood for some fun, but mostly it's on.
  21. Having my clutch replaced as we speak, including lightweight single mass flywheel from zedmanalex. Smack on 30k miles, but the car is new to me so may well have had a hard life up till now.
