  1. Hi people.I want to know how to add the banner picture thing that goes below your comment. Thanks
  2. I got a late UK 54 gt in good condition with 65000 miles on the clock for 8350 quid about 6 months ago, I have had to have a new exhaust and the switch plate around the electric window controls is a bit scratched(20 quid fix) and a worn gearknob, but other than that the car is mint apart from the odd stone chip, it also came with brand new rubber all round, full Nissan service history, a bird poo satnav (which to be fair works quite well) and recently refurbished rays alloys. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I know I have seen them a bit cheaper here and there, so hold out and you will find your dream car, I bought the third one I looked at, the previous two were black with 100k on the clocks but the paintwork was shocking on both(machine polished swirl marks) one was 10 grand the other was 11 grand. Just make sure you don't make that impulse purchase because as soon as you see that beast you will be tempted and remember its a buyers market, the guy I purchased mine from originally put it up for 11k then dropped it to 10k then 9k that's when I phoned him up and told him I had 8500 if it was any good he called me back within the hour, oh and because the was an mot advisory on worn rear brake pads I knocked another 150 quid off!
  3. Yes you did, and I said thanks to everyone. I just mentioned a few names to the people that took the time to go out take, pictures and upload them. So to show my gratitude, Leon K this is for you LEON K And his excellent advice Just playing mate
  4. Well I think they look good.... just not on a gunmetal
  5. Guess what? my seatbelt is not twisted! Thanks everyone for your input I fixed it exactly how attak shows in the pic, I'm sure I didn't see that bloody button in the middle of the belt, so no how hard I tugged on it (no vaseline/rubber glove puns plz) it wouldn't go through. It seems that plenty of you had the same problem(even if it was trivial) but thanks to a great community we have another problem solved! Nice one peeps especially Attak z, Ian, Geoff R and Chris I for time and photos

    New Boots!

Love the wheels, hate the stickers, with the nismo badge, the jap sticker, the one on window and the z on the back it just looks a bit too much imo, the car looks stunning minus the front bumper, it is certainly a marmite one.
  9. Ok guys I put on a rubber glove, covered the seatbelt in vasaline, hit it with a sledgehammer, then layed on my arm for over ten mins and its still not fixed I must have gone wrong, I did do it in the correct order, didn't I?
  10. I have been inspired by this so I am gonna be a trader, I have for sale 1. Eyebrows available in black, brown, ginger and blonde 2. Teeth available in white, yellow and I can make a few look decayed if you want 100 quid each
  11. Well, it's difficult to say, I made a claim in 1997 when my RS Turbo was stolen/Recovered and had been chipped to 195bhp (undeclared) without any problems. The problem comes with exactly what you declare, where exactly do you draw the line?..would fitting a SatNav need to be declared, or a pair of Nissan Spats or a Front Spoiler. Obviously it's essential that any performance enhancements must be declared but what if you buy a second hand Zed with say a Plenum spacer fitted and you had no idea that it was not a standard part on the car I certainly had never even heard of them before I joined this club Pete This is exactly what I was thinking, I have the least mechanical knowledge out of everyone on this forum and I too had never heard of a plenum spacer, I just assumed that as my scorpion adds no power and I did not want to get robbed at the stealers, it was a simple replacement with a different brand name. Two weeks ago my bird had an exhaust fitted on the banger and it certainly did not come from the stealers for the pittance we paid for it, should we declare this too?
  12. Hi peeps, my seatbelt buckle is the wrong way round, so when I buckle up the belt is twisted and it really annoys me. I have tried folding the belt and forcing it through but it won't go through, does anybody know how to do it? After all it got there somehow so it must be able to go back
  13. Thanks for the advice peeps, its all very much appreciated. Will350z you have the exact mod setup I aim for in the near future and i know I'm going but can you tell me what you made on the dyno please.
  14. Hi mate, I am with admiral, I pay 700 quid for me and my bird with 9 years no claims, is a remap easy for the insurance company to find out about if there was an accident? Not that I'm saying I would do that but my cousins best mates dad wants to know I know its tempting mate but its seriously not worth it...........your talking about you life in utter tatters if anything happens. From what I've heard (I did a lot of research when getting the chip for the Lancer) the insurance companies more than ever are seriously investigating any get out clause that they can. I'm sure the experts can advise better but (and I don't understand any of what I'm about to say - I just remember it) its very easy to see a remap and indeed if a car has been previously remapped and then wiped as the eeprom logs each time its overwritten so even if you are able to wipe the remap if you crash (unlikely to be the first thing on your mind as your crawling out of wreckage) it is still obvious that a car has been tinkered with. If you don't wipe it then its plain as day for any grinning loss adjuster to see. I'm not entirely sure what I just said makes any sense so if anyone who knows better comes along! No worries mate I won't be doing that but just out of interest should I declare my scorpion cat back as it was a replacement for the standard one as that snapped at the join?
  15. About £500 total. The amount of time it took him to do it though, means it's a bit of a bargain. He had to cat away at the console with a stanley knife, shaving about bits of the plastic to allow enough room. Then he'd try to fit it, and they're be another part that wouldn't fit right, so he'd have to pull the leather off again and start shaving more plastic away. Door cards were easier, they were probably £200 on their own, but love how they look. Hated the plastic before. That was deffo a bargain, 500 quid for that. Hmmm remap or interior

  17. That looks great , what was the total cost?
  18. Hi, does anyone have any idea how much on average an insurance company will raise the price of my insurance for let's say 1. plenum spacer 2. Exhaust+Y pipe 3. Remap I know all companys will vary, but a ballpark figure based on experience would be helpful. Thanks
